In a hall full of metal everywhere and some alloys that god knows how were created, a man advanced with light steps.
In his face, everything was fine, but in his mind, he was criticizing his bad luck.
He finally reached the end of the hall, there were some corridors leading to different places, but the man stopped at the end of the hall.
Everyone wore all kinds of military clothes, but they were more or less from the same group.
Even the man was wearing them, but his clothes, despite being a military uniform, were more or less like that of a civilian.
At the end of the hall, the structure began to open apart, revealing some kind of elevator.
In there, another man wearing a military uniform was standing, his uniform told the soldier what faction or what function the other was.
There were a lot of factions in the guild, but even so, there were so many positions and uniforms for each faction that nobody in the guild would identify exactly all the positions in the organization.
But somehow, there was one kind of uniform that was easy to identify.
"Android, I'm second-grade minor Lieutenant Sanchez from the Warriors faction, order 248-B from the..."
"No need to explain, Lieutenant, I am already informed about your mission"
With those words, the soldier got in the room, the android manipulated it and the door closed.
There was no feel of any movement in the room, but some sounds came from it as if it was moving.
Without need of words, Lieutenant Sanchez left the room while it opened and followed the path and soon got in some kind of weird small spaceship.
In fact, it was mostly like a capsule, it only had basic commands and couldn't be piloted, it had the instructions already programmed to where to land and where to go.
What was weird for Sanchez, was that the android didn't go in the ship with him.
"Is my companion another android?" He asked.
"Oh, sorry to inform you, I wasn't aware you had not received the new instructions, I already sent a message, and the new instructions will arrive in the middle of the launch, but in fact, the mission hasn't changed at all"
"Oh well... looks like I will have to make the reports myself... great..."
He was happy despite his words. Android soldiers in the guild were stubborn, even if one received the full command of it.
Soon, the capsule/ship was launched.
Meanwhile, he was reading his orders but got distracted by the view outside.
Good luck he was still in orbit around the planet, otherwise the ship would darken the windows for security.
And the view outside was still shocking as always, but viewing it with his own eyes the scene before him was different than viewing it from a summarized information in a monitor.
The planet Earth, contrary to its beautiful appearance from a hundred years ago, was different from before.
The pale blue from before it was now tainted with red-brown.
The color of a desolate planet.
Luckily, the planet was still alive, and some parts were still visibly good-looking from space.
Anyway, the planet had better days before.
As the "Tin-Can" (named that way by the guild members) went farther away from Earth, Sanchez returned his attention to his instructions.

And not so many minutes after it...
He finally reached the start point of his mission.
"The quick capsule-ship, please identify yourself and your intentions" It was a communication from the earth government he just accepted.
Specifically, the space station outside.
Earth's government was very careful these days with whoever tried to get in or outside their territory...
"D.G. Warriors faction, Rank Lieutenant. On my way to a mission, over" He answered with low interest.
They were careful with everyone, but always went easy with the guild...
"Received, Lieutenant"
Even if they knew it was the guild, they still followed the procedures, mostly to show off their efficiency.
In the distance, a weird structure slowly closed in.
It was the ship getting close, actually, since the structure was in orbit to the sun at the same speed as Earth.
The structure was huge, but in the distance in space, one could only see a few metal bars separated from each other.
The windows were already darkened and Sanchez could only see the situation with the monitor, but still, since the ship couldn't be controlled, he stayed in his seat resting.
When the ship got close enough the structure opened a portal, it looked like a star, but with way less light.
Anyway, it was hard to see in it, much less since the windows were darkened enough to not let people see through.
After the ship passed through the portal, some minutes later, the windows got normal, and Sanchez could see the planet in front of him.
The one the ship was now orbiting,
Gaia.
He took a look at the portal information from the monitor, it was already closed.
"Finally, no more monitoring, I can curse all I want..."
He finally relaxed on the chair for real.
"Can't understand why they don't want to defend this place..."
He said those last words while looking at the planet.
Gaia was very much similar to Earth centuries ago.
Lively, and green and blue.
But still, he held hopes for this planet when receiving this mission.
‘Maybe they will do something if the situation still looks good, who knows...’ That was his thinking of hope.
The ship started to get close slowly and a few minutes later, it was shaking from falling in the atmosphere.
Sanchez was not sweating, but the temperature was high anyway.
A normal human, even those genetically optimized from earth, would be sweating in this temperature with no doubt.
The ship did the right procedures as instructed and activated it's functions to not be located, and used the engine to move to the selected position.
It landed in an empty area in the northern woods of some country from the UNA.
The landing was smooth despite the quick fall of the ship, it was advanced technology after all.
What Sanchez didn't like, was the shaking it had.
"Advanced technology my ass... a normal human would be vomiting if still conscious..."
But by smelling the air that was rare to get in Earth anymore, he felt happy again.
He abandoned the ship without worries, and like if it was magic, the ship vanished in the woods,
Where it was standing a minute ago, it was now a big rock and a few small trees
And Lieutenant Sanchez knew his way from here very well, he memorized the map before.
Even when he was on Gaia before, he knew nothing about the area in the UNA.
But with a good memory, he had no need to look at the map twice.
Maybe it was the reason why he was appointed as a field officer in the Warriors faction.
Despite their name, the Warriors faction was mostly a non-fighting faction.
He made a quick plan before.
The mission was easy, and the report was easy to do too.
But still, he wanted to spend his time wisely.
"Confirm the situation if the nightmare creature had arrived... that's the hard part of the mission" he murmured.
Whether the nightmare creature awakened or not, how could he really know?
The people in Gaia knew not much about P.S.E.C. to start with.
How would they find if the nightmare creature was really strong or not?
And most importantly, even he didn't know about the power coming from a nightmare creature.
He had never seen it before, and his investigation found that even the registry of nightmare creatures was diverse.
Wouldn't they send a most experienced member?
That thought never crossed his mind, Sanchez thought that it was done this way to make him prove himself.
But the real truth about it was still a mystery since the person himself never really thought about it from a deep perspective.
