There was a meeting in the living room, Anna was now cured of the poison that was in her system, thanks to Sherry’s antidote that she made for her. Ron, Kat, and Anna introduced themselves to Oswald, and vice versa. Ron began to feel nervous for a bit upon being told that he was Sherry's grandfather for some reason. Oswald was actually interested to know why another elf like Ron was outside their nest, but he would ask it another time.
Everyone took seats, there seemed to be a lot to talk about at the moment. From the secret entrance that the mysterious person took Puck and Luna through, to the game of Lost Adventure that Oswald and Sherry were just now becoming a part of, as of recently.
A though appeared in Barry’s mind since he heard that Sherry and Oswald were just now becoming involved in Lost Adventure, ‘Could it be that the game is still trying to take effect over this world? It would make sense if that was the case…’
Barry wanted to start with informing Oswald and Sherry more about Lost Adventure, beginning with asking them about what sort of info the system provided them during the attack of the Chakarie. “Tell us exactly what you read or saw from these weird messages.”
The two thought about what they recalled during the time, everything was chaotic when it happened, so their recollection of what the messages read wasn’t entirely clear. “I only remember the first two messages informing me about a sub-quest that was related to the invasion that happened. And the main quest about the fall of Scion. I just couldn’t focus on reading them thoroughly at the time because I was too busy trying to stay alive.” Sherry shared, still trying to think deeper.
“I remember seeing those quests too, but that’s about all I could recall at the time.” Oswald wondered what the reason for these messages could be, waiting for Barry to explain more of what he knew.
‘Did the gods omit the part about them becoming nothing more than pieces of entertainment for them? Ron and Ned were informed about Lost Adventure when they got their messages, so why was it that Sherry and Oswald didn’t receive the truth?’ Barry was puzzled by the reason for a moment, then came to realize the god's true intent for why and pissed him off.
Oswald could see the expression of anger on Barry’s face and had to ask what was making him so mad. “Barry, is there something wrong that we don’t know?”
Barry was tense, his hands were balled into fists. “You two, and possible this whole city and a majority of the people of this word, have probably been kept in the shadow about the truth of these messages. Ron, you know what the true reason is for these messages, right, so why don’t you tell them.”
Ron was thinking the same thing, how strange was it that only him and Ned were the only one’s from their world that were informed about Lost Adventure, and that they were participating in a detestable game for the gods' enjoyment. “Sherry, Oswald, you and this entire city have now become a part of a game called Lost Adventure. Something created by the gods for entertainment purposes, and the reason why you two and everyone else were omitted from seeing the truth, was for people like us to spread misinformation about them forcing our world into their game.”
The truth shook them to the core, “No, that can’t be true. Why would they do such a thing?” Oswald had a hard time believing what they were saying, Sherry was also somewhat skeptical but was open to the information that was given.
“Ned and Ron are the only ones I know who were informed about the truth, probably because Ned lived in a small population which had no significant importance to the world and Ron was by himself when he saw the messages. The gods want to spice up this game by keeping the truth behind a curtain from vast populated areas. You have to believe us, if not, why else would Ned have sent me here?” Barry said, trying to convince Oswald and Sherry.
Everyone didn’t like the sound of being pieces of a game, did they perhaps do something so wrong to upset them? No one was sure of the gods true intent for creating Lost Adventure besides it acting as a source of entertainment, maybe there wasn’t any other reason.
Oswald thought about his friend Ned, he knew him for a long time since their adventuring days, someone that he could always rely on for help. After a bit more thinking, Oswald decided to trust in Barry, like he trusted Ned. “I trust in Ned, therefore, I trust that you are telling the truth.” He replied, with a firm nod.
“As difficult as it is to believe that the gods are truly treating us as nothing more than toys for their enjoyment…I believe you all.” Sherry said, in her thinker pose. “ However…I don’t think that all the gods could have agreed to this. Our world has benevolent ones who would likely reject this, so that’s why I was having a hard time accepting it.”
Ron wondered if all the gods had agreed to this sort of sick game, “You are right about that Sherry, so would you all think there is a chance that maybe it was done by a collective vote?”
“Maybe, maybe not, but if that were to be true about being a collective vote; I’d say that there's way more diabolical and wicked gods than there are compassionate ones. It’s also why I haven’t decided to choose a sponsor yet, I don’t trust any of them at all, yet.” Anna said, although having a god to back her up to protect her sister would be nice, it would be arrogant of her to choose just anyone.
“Sponsor? You mean, having a god be one for you?” Oswald questioned, looking curious.
“That’s right, a god can offer you to become your sponsor. But you can only have one, what they can provide for you can range from more power like skills or abilities and even items. There are limitations to how much they can provide for you, but I wouldn’t know myself what those limitations are because I haven’t bothered to accept an offer from those bastards and likely never will.” Barry didn’t want to become a pawn for the ones that put them in this mess, especially since he believed they were the ones who stole his memory.
“Figured you wouldn’t have one either, seeing as how much of a stuck up guy you are.” Anna commented, jokingly. Barry didn’t mind being called stuck up, he actually agreed with her there without complaint.
“How do we know if we’ve been given offers from any sort of god? There has to be a way to check, right?” Oswald was curious to know if he got any offers from these gods.
His question would then remind Barry of the menu that they missed out on reading about. “There is a way, and it leads me to telling you about the system menu, which is…” He would then give them an introduction to the game’s menu screen and its features, catching them up to speed about everything he knew about it. Even showing them about the inventory space and how it was done.
Oswald and Sherry were intrigued by this magical spacial feature that allowed them to store items and equipment into what they referred to as a pocket dimension, which was similar to the purple satchel Oswald was carrying.
From the system menu, there was a way to check if they received any offers from the gods who wanted to be their sponsors. Kat was the only one of the group to receive no offers from the group, which she felt was understandable because she hadn’t really displayed anything amazing since the start of the game. Ron and Sherry had received a few, but it was no more than 4–5 offers, the names of the gods were suspicious, so they didn’t bother choosing at the moment. There would also be a number of stars next to the names of the gods, probably as a show of just how powerful or unique they were. Neither of the offers they had were more than 3 stars.
The amount of offers that were extended to Anna and Oswald ranged between 25-50 different gods, with a couple of them ranging between 1–4 stars. But again, neither of them cared for picking a sponsor at the time, wanting to wait till later if they ever decided.
Finally, it was Barry’s turn to tell them how many offers he had received so far, after everyone told theirs. “So, how popular are you, Barry?” Anna asked him, she was secretly hoping that he didn’t have as many as her, thinking of this as a competition.
This would be the first time since the meeting with Ven that he would check his inbox, he remembered telling the gods to fuck off and leave him alone because he wasn’t going to accept either of the offers. He opened his inbox and looked at the number of offers he had gotten from the top of his list. The room was silent, awaiting to hear how many he had.
“...325 and still counting.” He replied calmly, everyone was shocked to hear just how many he had. Anna especially was stunned, she could not believe he had that many gods that wanted to be his sponsor. He had a good amount of 5-star gods that desperately wanted to be his sponsor.
“Wow, what do you do to attract all these gods that want to be your sponsor so badly!? What’s your secret?” Oswald wondered. Like Anna, Ron couldn’t believe it either and wanted to know what made him so popular.
Barry had thought of a reason why he received so many, and it bothered him if that was the case. “Probably because I keep going through sufferable events that happen to me at the worst times. These gods must really love watching me struggle, and if that’s the case, and if they’re listening right now, fuck you.” The moment he insulted the gods, the amount of offers he received jumped up by 20 more in an instant. “345 this time.”
Sherry and Kat couldn’t help but laugh a little, finding it funny that someone like him could obtain so much attention. Anna and Ron had really thought his personality wouldn’t have gained him a lot of favor, but it turned out that they were wrong. Oswald was intrigued even more about what kind of person Barry was, he had to be someone capable to have that many offers and become allies with his friend Ned.
Everyone would go on to inform Sherry and Oswald about their Character Profiles, seeing that their classes had already been chosen, along with their predetermined levels. Both of their Classes were picked as “Transmuter Alchemist”, with their types being referred to as “Support/Utility”. But Oswald and Sherry’s had something else added to their profiles. Below their Class, was another thing called a Subclass, which was selected as “Invoker of The Elements”.
Oswald thought it made sense because of their family heritage of being mages that were proficient in the use of magic that involved all the elements of nature, like fire, water, air, and earth. Although, his primary specialty was in Alchemy, alongside transmutation magic, and was only above average when it came to using elemental magic. His family ancestry had always been proficient with elemental magic, but he was never motivated enough to pursue mastering it entirely. Alchemy, on the other hand, captured his attention.
Anna and Ron were intrigued by this piece of info they told them, they were not seeing a Subclass of their own on their profiles. The only ones who didn’t think much about it were Kat and Barry. Kat didn’t have a Class of her own, since she hadn’t reach level 10 yet to unlock one, and Barry knew he was never going to get his Class or Subclass because the system had rejected him before, presumingly because he didn’t know who he was.
Oswald’s eyes shifted around, trying to find where his information about his level was, only to feel dumb that it was right near his name. “Says here that I am…level 81. Is that good?” He asked, hoping that it was.
There was a look of surprise on everyone but Sherry’s face, who didn’t know either if that was something to be proud of. Barry figured that if this person had gone on adventures with Ned before, then his level must have been pretty high already.
“Yeah, I’d say that’s a pretty good level. I’m sure all of us are way lower than that. I’ve only reached level 14 after completing our recent quest. My Class Type is Assassin, but the name of it is ‘Crimson Veil’. The classes that we gain are typically associated with who we are as a person, so take that information for what you will…” Anna said, she then wondered what sort of Class Barry had received.
“I’m level 15, my Class type is Mage/Trickster. And the name of it is referred to as, ‘Arcane Illusionist’. But I still have yet to gain a Subclass, unlike Sherry and Ron.” Ron shared, upon taking a look at his skills, there was one that he always knew about since the start of Lost Adventure, but always intrigued him because he didn’t know exactly what it did. It was a Passive Ability referred to as, “Well of Magium”.
“My level is 14, but I have a Subclass already. Which doesn't make sense for either of you to not have one if I already have mine at a lower level than you all. It could be because of my heritage. I mean, I do practice my magic from time to time, so that could be the case?” That was the only logical explanation Sherry could think of at the moment, which made sense to everyone.
That sort of reasoning got Ron thinking about something else from his past, ‘If what she said could be true…then is it possible that my Subclass might actually become…’ He shrugged off the thought, he didn’t want to think too much about it now.
Kat then shyly raised her hand to share what she was. “I-I’m level 7, I know the requirement to obtaining a Class of my own is level 10. S-So I’m sorry for not being as strong as you all, I’ll try not to hold you all back and do my part the best I can…” She didn’t want to become a burden to the group, she hoped to be able to see herself as an equal to them all in the future.
All eyes were now on Barry, anticipating what he could be. He looked at his Character Profile one last time before sharing what he was. “I’m only level 18, and as for my Class…all you need to know is that it’s a physical enhancer type. And no, I don’t have a Subclass. So there’s still speculation of how anyone obtains a Subclass.”
He wanted to keep it a secret that he didn’t have a Class at all, but still decided to throw them something to satisfy their curiosity. Barry also didn’t want to out right tell these people what his Class because he didn’t fully trust them yet, unlike Puck and Ned, who he had gotten to know better.
Anna groaned, bothered that he wasn’t going to tell them what sort of Class he was. “So we tell you what Class we are, but you won’t share anything about yours besides it sounding boring? Seems like you don’t trust any of us here, am I right?”
“Listen, Sherry and Oswald are about the only people here that I’ll probably tell what I am because they are still new to this game we’re in. And maybe, just maybe, Ron in the future, so long as he continues to be useful and earns my trust.” Barry replied.

“Have I been useful?” Ron asked, actually curious to know how much he appreciated him so far.
“Yeah, but you're still a ways from earning my trust for a while. Unlike Puck, who earned it in less than a day.” Barry mocked.
Ron was astonished by his comment, so much so that he felt it as an insult. “What! You only trust him more than me because he’s basically a child! He can’t even comprehend the magnitude of the situation we’re all in! Let alone even call himself anything else besides his very name!”
“And that’s why, thank you for explaining to everyone.” Barry replied, giving his short clap of applause.
Kat, Sherry and Oswald didn’t really care about what sort of Class Barry was, and completely understood his reason. But Anna and Ron were bothered by the fact that he wasn’t willing to tell them what his was, and it showed on their faces.
Kat noticed this and wanted to change the topic before another argument would spark. “S-So about Anna’s sister, Luna, and your friend…Puck? You mentioned a secret entrance that the kidnapper used to escape from the sewers?”
Barry was hoping to get to that soon after informing Sherry and Oswald more about the game and its system features. “That’s right, I found one in the sewers. It looked like a door frame embedded into the stone walls, but probably required a key of some sort, maybe a magical item or something. I’m not sure.”
It was during that moment of explaining to them about the door frame, that Oswald might have had an idea of how it was opened. “Barry, that sigil pin you showed us, with the rune symbol on it. Can I take a look at it again?”
“Sure.” Barry took the sigil out of his inventory, which still surprised Sherry about it, even though she learned that she could do it as well. He then handed the pin to Oswald, placing it into his hand.
Oswald inspected the pin, applying a bit of his own magic to it, seeing how it would react. And to everyone’s surprise, the sigil began to glow a light purple. “How could I forget…”
He then looked at everyone, ready to tell them something he thought was important. “This sigil, was the first sign of friendship, that my friend Ned and I received from the Nightwalkers. People that we call who mainly roam at night, like Witches, Werewolves, and Vampires.”
Anna, Kat, and even Barry knew what sort of beings they were; despite Barry losing his memory, he knew what they were because it was more like general knowledge to him, especially since they were related to Halloween back on Earth.
Oswald continued his talk. “Ned and I didn’t know at the time of what they truly were, before…we destroyed their home. They were such kind people, even if it was a few times we met them in this very household that was once my daughter’s at the time before…” He paused for a moment before continuing. “...she was tragically murdered by the Chakarie below.”
Sherry tried comforting her grandpa, who was getting sort of emotional but was still trying hard to hold his tears back, then picked up what else he had to say. “The Governor of this city had tasked me and Ned to exterminate the monsters responsible for killing the people of this city, which was always happening at night. We had assumed that the Nightwalkers were the one’s responsible before we realized the Chakarie were the culprits and destroyed their home as well afterward. So I left my sigil in the ruins of the Nightwalker’s city, how could I still consider myself a friend of theirs after making a mistake like that. But having seen this again, it surprises me because I had thought Ned would surrender his sigil as well.”
Oswald would then hand the pin back over to Barry, still trying to hide his feelings of sadness. “That pin is the key to opening that secret entrance in the sewers, you found. I can guarantee you that.”
Barry rubbed the pin, thinking about the story Oswald had just told them. ‘So these Nightwalkers were friends with him and his family before, yet him and Ned were the one’s to destroy their home by mistake…could these Nightwalkers’s hold a grudge towards this city after having their own destroyed?’
Everyone empathized with Oswald’s story, they could see how much regret he was holding inside. Sherry had only been with her mother for a couple of years during her childhood, remembering bits of her happy life with her mother before the unfortunate incident that cut her mother out of her life.
And now with the return of the Chakarie, despite their home being destroyed by her grandpa, she wanted to get back at them for what they had done.
Barry had to ask one thing from Oswald, a question that he probably knew what his answer was going to be. “Oswald, I take it that you don’t plan on going with us to find out where the Nightwalkers are?”
Oswald nodded, giving out a heavy sigh as well. “Yes, I will not be going with you all. If I do, and we find out where their new place of home is, I will not be welcome there. After what I had done, my presence will only put you all into more danger.”
“I see, that’s understandable. Then, depending on the level of hostility they show us, I’ll try to hold back for you. But only if they’re not showing any murderous intent, otherwise, I’ll match their same level of aggression.” Even though Barry looked like the type to throw hands first before reasoning with anyone that ever tried to kill him, he was willing to make an exception for Oswald.
His response made Oswald smile a bit, he was happy to hear Barry say that. “I appreciate it, Barry, thank you. And I hope that you and Anna are able to find who you are both looking for.”
And with that, everyone got to know what they wanted. Barry, Ron, Kat, and Anna planned on going to the hidden entrance that was discovered, now that Barry knew that the sigil Ned had given him was a key to opening it.
They all added each other via the system, so that they could stay informed of each other's actions and such. Anna was bothered somewhat by the fact that she was going to add Barry to her list of contacts, which everyone found funny, but eventually caved in and added him. Barry didn’t tease her for this, but he was definitely amused by how much she didn’t want to.
Oswald would then offer the group a bit of assistance before they decided to leave, believing that they would probably want to stock up on supplies since they were already inside an alchemist shop that sold plenty of useful stuff. “How about I provide you with some potions before you leave?” He then grabbed some healing potions from behind the counter and handed a couple to each of them, expressing their gratitude with thanks.
That was when Barry had an idea, he had been holding onto so many monster parts since the beginning of the game that he didn’t know what to do with them. But after realizing that he was in an alchemist shop that crafted potions and such, he figured this would be the place to make use of them finally. “I didn’t think of it till just now, but I have been keeping a lot of monster materials that I’ve gathered since the beginning of the game. Would you by any chance be able to whip something up out of them?”
“Me too, I also have some material I’ve gathered since the beginning.” Anna chimed in.
Sherry wanted to ask the group the whole time about wanting to join them on their mission to retrieve their lost ones. She wanted to join so that she could have a chance of not only meeting the Nightwalker’s, but also potentially encounter some of the Chakarie that also lived below and get some payback.
Oswald was about to accept Barry’s request of crafting him some goods out of his materials, but his precious granddaughter interrupted him before he could say anything. “Let me craft for you, I could use the experience, but also…” She took a breath before speaking. “I would like to join you all, and have a chance at meeting these Nightwalkers that my mother met before.”
Her grandfather was speechless at first from her suggestion, “W-What!? Sherry, dear, I can’t have you going with them. The Chakarie are likely to be down there as well, and I can’t have you getting hurt. And also, although the Nightwalkers were kind before, if they find out that you're related to me, who knows what they’ll do now. Please think about this.” Worry showed on his face.
Sherry shook her head, she was determined to go with them and had hope that the Nightwalkers would do no harm to her even if they knew who she was. “No, grandpa, ever since I’ve heard your stories of how much my mother respected and valued the Nightwalkers, I’ve been wanting to meet them. And as for the Chakarie, it’s all the more reason for me to get some revenge along the way.”
This would not be the first time Oswald would ever see Sherry have a fiery look in her eyes, whenever she was like this, Oswald knew that she would achieve whatever she wanted no matter how. He could see the resemblance of his daughter inside of her and looked back at Barry’s group. “My granddaughter her seems to be very eager to join you all, I don’t approve of it, but I also know that she will follow you all anyway when I am not looking. So…can I have your word that you will all take great care of her?”
Everyone but Barry was accepting of Sherry joining them on their mission, promising to protect her from any danger that would come their way. Especially Ron, making his vow to protect her so dramatic that he literally placed a fist close to his heart and sounded off like a grand knight making an oath to shield their queen from any and all enemies.
This type of response made everyone stare at him for a bit, having different expressions that ranged from all kinds. Oswald, Kat, and even Sherry would laugh at how serious he was, while Anna and Barry had gotten second-hand embarrassment.
Barry wasn’t expecting for her to join them, he was unsure about Sherry joining them because he saw her as more of a liability than help, sharing the same thought about Kat, but then also remembered Sherry being close to the same level as Ron and Anna. Barry would also accept her request to join. “Sure, you can join. But first, please craft us what you can with these parts.”
“You got it!” Sherry replied, feeling pumped to become a part of the gang for the time being. Barry asked her if she had some empty bins or something to organize the material in before he gave them to her, which sounded like a great idea to her.
Once she had gotten a couple of empty woven bins for them, they began unloading everything they were holding on to, since the beginning of their journey, that looked like crafting parts. Never really caring to see what type of rarity they were. The amount of material that was given to her, by Barry, would make everyone go wide-eye. Oswald was intrigued to know that he must have slain a lot of Eviscerators, wondering how he could have encountered them on his travels to the city.
Sherry didn’t know what to say, she wasn’t really expecting Barry to fill up all the bins that they were given. “Wow, I uh, don’t know what to say. Not only have you slain a lot of undead, but you also have Eviscerator parts- NO WAY!”
She then looked at 3 fleshy red cores, that were pulsing on top of a bin like cherries. “Those are cores that can only come from undead type creatures with rare sentience! Are you telling me that you’ve fought not just one, but three of them?”
Barry thought about the three black knights that he had fought back at the tutorial, the first three enemies he met that nearly pushed him to the brink of death, but later came to understand that some enemies like them could have sentience. “Yeah, my first encounter with them, they had me on the run to the point of nearly dying. But the second time I met them, I was able to overcome them…and it was an honor to fight them.”
His words were something that Anna, Kat, and Ron wouldn’t expect to come out of his mouth. They were surprised to hear him give compliments to some enemies that he had slain, rather, they figured he would curse at them even after they were gone.
The young alchemist would look to her grandpa, her expression giving him a sign of hesitation. “Grandpa, do you think maybe you could craft something out of these special cores instead of me? I really don’t want to mess up and make absolute junk out of them-”
Her grandpa would slap her on the back with encouragement, chuckling out loud. “Oooh no, you said you were going to help our friend here by crafting them some goodies. And that also means making something out of those three cores, have some confidence in yourself, Sherry.”
“But grandpa, I-”
“Do it.” Barry said, cutting her off. “If you want to join us so badly, you WILL make something out of those cores. Or are you really saying that your talents aren’t good enough to amount to anything?” He was trying to stir a bit of motivation into her, and Oswald saw this.
Upon hearing his comment, she felt riled up with anger, not at Barry, but at herself. “You’re right! I am the granddaughter of an amazing alchemist! I shouldn’t be thinking this way, when I should be getting the alchemy table prepped and ready to whip up the best this store has to offer for you all!”
Everyone smiled at her sudden drive of giving it her all, Barry grinned. He believed that she could make something worthwhile out of the cores, wondering what sort of thing might become of them.
Then, unexpectedly, Sherry looked at them all with a serious look. “What are you all still doing here? Go on, get out, I need time alone to work on all this material you brought me, Barry!” She then began shooing everyone besides her grandpa out of the shop with urgency.
And when everyone was pushed out, she stood by the entrance door with a stern look. “I'll message you all in a few hours, and have everything ready for you all, you have my word.” She then shut the door on them and flipped a sign informing any customers that the store was temporarily closed.
The four stood in the middle of the street with uncertainty of what to do next, all around them, they still saw the aftermath of the invasion that took place in the city. The residents were doing all that they could to mend what was destroyed. “So…what should we do now?” Kat asked the group timidly.
And just as she said that, a random messenger boy was seen sprinting through the street, shouting. “Everyone! The governor has an important announcement to make for everyone! Meet up at the city hall in less than an hour, this is urgent!”
It was then that they knew exactly what they were going to do to kill time while they waited. “There’s your answer, we check this out and hear what the governor has to say.” Barry responded to Kat’s question, before being the first one to start their walk there.
The rest would follow him for a bit, till he realized something and stopped walking after a minute. “...would any of you happen to know where the city hall is?”
His question of direction to their destination caused Ron and Anna to erupt in laughter, while Kat quietly giggled inside. Barry would just stare at them with bothersome eyes, “Why is it so funny? I’m just asking for directions is all.”
Ron held himself back before replying, “You sounded so confident the first time and started leading us, only to stop and ask us for directions. How can I not laugh at someone so prideful like you.”
Barry was getting irritated, not wanting to start another argument. “So do you guys know how to get there or not?”
Anna had stopped laughing and spoke. “Not that I know, Kat and I are still new here, so if you need directions, how about you start asking the people around instead?”
And with a huff, he turned his back towards them with a pissed off look. “Great, you don’t know either, that’s all you had to fucking say.” He then began approaching a random couple who seemed to be struggling with lifting a chunk of debris that was blocking their home entrance, hoping to take advantage of their predicament by helping them before asking for directions.
The rest watched as Barry assisted the couple, “It’s so easy to get under his skin, just about anything will tick him off. But then again, after hearing his rant of disliking helping others, it makes me wonder why he would feel that way.” Ron said, curious of what his true reason was for trying to always look the other way but never actually doing so.
“I think all of us can agree that he seems too prideful at times, but what he did back there with encouraging Sherry was something I wouldn’t expect from him, which was nice, I admit. But he needs to ease up, is what I’m thinking he should do. What do you think, Kat?” Anna wanted to know what her thoughts were.
“O-Oh, um…” She fidgeted with her fingers as her mind tried coming up with a way to describe Barry. In her eyes, she saw him as someone that who hated to be around anyone that was useless to him, not wanting anyone to get in his way of his goal. But despite his intimidating presence, she wanted to believe that there was truly something more to his cold nature towards others, especially since he had saved her and her brothers from before. “I-I think we shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, as the saying goes.”
Ron was amused by her opinion and crossed his arms. “Well, I suppose we should give him a chance, and believe that he isn’t an ass hat to everyone he meets.”
Barry had finished helping the out and looked back at them, waving a hand in a specific direction, and continued walking with an irritated look. “Looks like our lord, Barry, now knows where to go to. Come on, let’s make sure we don’t lose him.” Anna said, being the first to tag along with him.
Ron would follow behind, then Kat, who was still in deep thought about what she saw in Barry at the moment. ‘He has a cold demeanor towards most others around him, especially to those like me who don't know how to defend themselves…but I'd like to believe that there is something more to that reason. I just need to prove my worth so that he might lead me to reunite with my brothers.”
They tagged along with Barry, on their way to city hall to check out what sort of announcement this city’s governor had for everyone. Everyone figured that it was going to be about the attack that occurred, but that wouldn’t be the only thing that they would soon find out.
