Chapter 16 - Venting

Barry’s perception of the events that were going on around him were slowed to a snail’s crawl, it seemed, as he remained as still as a statue, having caught sight of the person who left him to die back at the crematorium. ‘I finally found you, doc.’ His hatred for the doctor was unlocked from within, having been sealed away for so long.

Judas, the doctor, had locked eyes with him for a moment, and upon realizing who he was, immediately turned back around, fearful of what Barry might do to him. Sprinting away through the battleground, they stood on, choosing to ignore Kat’s plea for help as she tried doing all she could to tend Anna, who had been poisoned.

The poison had immobilized Anna’s movement significantly, while also causing her to tunnel vision, she could feel her head becoming dizzy. Kat could see that her skin was turning paler as time went on. ‘I feel so light-headed, I have to get Luna back…’ The sickly Assassin thought.

She tried to stand back up, but couldn’t move more than 2 steps forward before dropping, forcing Kat to catch her. “You’re not feeling well, Anna, just stay down.” Kat expressed concern towards her friend.

“BARRY!” Anna cried out, urging him to act fast in response to her immediate request.

Her voice was heard but ignored, just like the rest of the world, he was so fixated on Judas who was running away. ‘You die today doc, I’ll have some fun with you first before I pulverize everything that you are to mush.’

He tried taking a step forward to initiate the chase, but like always before, a mysterious force would appear during these times of crisis, holding him back from doing what he wanted when he should be aiding those that required immediate help. ‘MOVE! Let me move, I’ve waited too long to miss this opportunity! Rescuing her sister is not my concern, just this once, let me do what I want!’ He tried reasoning with this sensation of righteousness within.

And yet still, his body would not move, ‘HE’S RIGHT THERE!’ His stress was clearly showing on his body, continuing to watch his prey getting away from him ever so farther and farther away.

Then he heard something that would seep through his selective hearing, “Puck! Barry, someone on the roofs has Puck with them! Hurry before they're gone!” It was Ron who was trying to inform him of the urgent matter.

Upon hearing this news, Barry was brought back to reality, he had remembered the reason why he was furious in the first place, and that was to find Puck again. Yet still, his rage would continue on. “Fuck!”

He looked up at the buildings, eventually locating a mysterious cloaked person that held both Luna and Puck on their shoulder. Barry would give one last look back at where he saw the doctor, only to discover that he was no longer in sight from the battlefield. ‘If only, you lucky bastard…’

Barry then activated his passive/active skill, King’s Commanding Presence, further boosting his physical prowess since the situation was urgent, and blasted off in a haste to retrieve both Puck and Luna back. He climbed and double-jumped, reaching the top of one of the buildings before chasing down the kidnapper. Anna take one last notice of him taking off, hoping that he went to save her sister.

He bolted towards them with all he was able too, slowly catching up to them, “Hey! Stop right there! You have someone that belongs to me!”

The person did not halt, they kept sprinting further and further non-stop. “I said stop!” He called out again, he was only able to keep up with the stranger because of the temporary boost he was receiving from his skill.

He didn’t want to throw any weapons at them, worried that he might accidentally hit one of the two that were resting on their shoulder. Eventually, the person would shift directions, dropping into an alley way in an attempt to shake him off. “Trying to be sly are you buddy, well that’s going to work!”

Barry would then toggle on what he would call his, Detective Mode, ability from his skill, Eyes of the Scout. He could now track down the kidnapper just by spotting the recent footprints and any other details of evidence they were leaving behind.

He followed them, although lagging, Barry was able to track the route they were going with ease. Turning a couple of corners while parkouring over a some obstacles like trash bins and crates, the stranger's tracks would then lead to a man-hole with the lid somewhat closed, but not completely.

Quickly shoving it aside, he hopped down below and entered the city sewers, the stench of smell going through his nostrils with every bit of air he breathed in, but he did not care. Barry was on a mission to get Puck back…and the little girl as well.

The stranger's footprints would lead him to a stone wall that wasn’t too far off from the ladder leading back up. Upon closer inspection, a handprint was seen on a specific area of the stone wall. “Ah, a secret entrance? Well, it’s not a secret anymore.” He could also tell that this was an entrance by the way his eyes were showing him the outline of a very thin door frame.

He would then place his hand the same way the other person did, pressing it against the wall, and waited for something to happen. But nothing happened, “What??”

Barry tried again, there was no loose stone that carved into the wall that would magically trigger the supposed secret entrance to appear. “How does this work? What do I have to do??” He was so confused, was there a special way of entering besides placing his hand on the wall?

He felt like trying to bash his way through with his hammer, it seemed like the best solution so far to him. “Should I? It would take a while with my current strength, but what if something bad happens, like a trap?”

As much as Barry wanted to find a way inside, he figured he would come back with a better plan than to attempt busting it down if possible. ‘I’ll be back for you, Puck, I promise.’

Another thing that convinced him to head back, was that he was still able to see Puck’s character profile, just not his current condition such as health and stamina, probably because he was out of range from him. He believed that Puck was still alive because he was able to check his profile, it was the only thing so far that made him feel relieved.

He would then leave the sewer and back tracking to where Ron and Anna were at, still keeping in mind of where the exact sewer entrance was.

Barry would then receive notification, stating that the sub-quest had been completed, receiving the rewards that were promised, making him level 18 at the moment.

As he rushed back, he noticed that there weren’t any Charakies around to terrorize the people of Haglethorn, which confirmed that the event was over.

When he arrived back at the public square battlefield, the people in the area were tending to those who were injured, or the dead who had lost their lives from the battle that occurred. He looked around, trying to find Anna or Ron, eventually spotting them near a bench with a beautiful young woman that had turquoise colored hair and pointy ears like Ron, inspecting Anna, who was sitting on a bench. The throwing knife had been removed, her wound being bandaged until she healed back up.

He joined them by the bench with the unfortunate news he was about to share to them, one look from Anna told her everything she needed to know, seeing that he had not returned with her sister. “What…happened, Barry?” She asked, sounding both tired and frustrated at the same time.

Barry felt like there wasn’t a need to sugar coat the news to her and just told her exactly what happened. “I couldn’t catch him, he escaped from me.” He replied, then saw her balling up a fist and slamming it on the bench with anger, which startled Kat and the elf looking woman. “But, I know where he went to escape. I just couldn’t open the path he used to getaway.”

She coughed before speaking, “Explain, where could he have possibly taken her?”

“Underground, more than likely, there’s some sort of secret entrance in the sewers that has to lead to their hideout or something. I just can’t open it somehow, that’s the only lead I have.” Barry, looked at her skin color, noticing that her color was still lighter than it usually was.

“Well, what the hell am I sitting around here for? Take me to there, and I’ll-” She tried standing back up, but wobbled a bit, losing her balance for a moment before Kat and the woman settled her back down.

“A-Anna, you’re too exhausted right now and the poison hasn’t worn off yet. You need to rest for now before doing something rash, recover your strength first before anything else, please.” Kat advised.

Barry sighed and crossed his arms, “Listen, Anna, you’re not the only one whose pissed the fuck off right now. That stranger took someone from me as well, coincidentally, and I’ll be the first one to rock their shit the moment I see them. And not only am I mad because of that, I also missed an opportunity to…” He cut himself off, not feeling like going on a rant at the moment, believing he should cool off for the time being. “Never mind.”

There was a moment of silence all around, everyone could tell that both of them needed some time to calm down and reassess the situation later. That was when the elf looking woman decided to make a suggestion. “Say, why don’t we all go to my grandfather’s shop and get Anna treated? Oh, and by the way, my name is Sherry.”

‘Sherry? Could it be?’ Barry wondered if her name was connected to the shop that Ned was talking about.

Kat smiled and nodded in response to her suggestion. “That sounds like a great idea, Sherry. Come on, Anna, we’ll get you fixed up first and figure everything out later. Sherry and I will help you walk over there.”

Anna grumbled, as badly as she wanted to go and find this secret entrance, she knew that it would be best for her to be in tip-top condition. “Fine…”

Sherry and Kat then helped her up, holding her by each shoulder as Sherry guided them to her grandfather’s shop. Barry and Ron would tag along from behind, they both wondered if this was going to be the same shop Ned had suggested them to go to in Haglethorn.

As they walked, Barry glanced at Ron and noticed him tidying himself up, making sure that he was looking proper for some reason. “What’s wrong, Ron? Find a bug on yourself or what?” Barry asked, genuinely curious of the reason.

Ron was startled by his question, fixing his hat quickly before responding back to him with a nervous smile. “A-Ah, yes, I thought I found a nasty centipede on myself but realized I must have been seeing things. Haha, I’m fine now, thank you.” He then looked away and started whistling to himself.

His reaction was weird to Barry, but he decided to let it go. “Alright…”

After about 15 minutes of walking, they would eventually arrive at an alchemy looking shop with exotic plants and trinkets outside the store on display. There was a sign hanging out above the entrance door with the words reading, “Shelly’s Sheerly Sherry!”.

‘What are the chances…’ Barry thought, his hunch was right all along.

“Here we are. My grandfather’s pride and joy, one word of advice before we enter, please don’t consume anything interesting that’s for sale before coming to us about what it is. We’ve had a few customers eat some of our Foxtail Mushrooms because they smell sweet, then have an upset stomach which resulted in them ruining our restroom, sooooo, yeah. Please don’t do that.” Sherry informed, not looking forward to another incident like that again.

Everyone agreed not to touch or consume anything that was in the shop, not wanting to experience the same fate as those dumb fools who blew up her shop’s toilet.

Out of all of them, Kat was the one who was the most excited about entering the store, it was the closest thing to witchcraft she could find around town. Once her and Sherry got Anna some help, she would decide to take a look around and admire everything that was on sale.

Inside was a decorative display of eye-catching monster parts and mesmerizing potions behind the store counter, there were also other nick-knacks like chemist and alchemy sets around on tables, shelves of research books, and small lanterns hung from the ceiling that provided a warm and calming tone to the layout. Everything about the place gave off a relaxing, yet, nerdy vibe.

They would follow Sherry to a separate section of the store, which was more of a living room, seating Anna onto a cozy couch with Kat by her side. “I’ll be right back with something for you to take, just relax for now.” Sherry told her before leaving the room to go whip up a concoction of some sort to remedy her condition.

As they waited for Sherry to make Anna a potion, Barry looked around the room. He scanned around the room with his eyes, trying to spot anything that looked of value to him in terms of rarity. He wasn’t planning on stealing anything from the place, but was interested in what he could find.

Barry snooped around and didn’t see anything yet, until his eyes caught sight of a beautiful tear shaped topaz necklace in a glass case with a picture of a sweet elf woman that shared similar looking features with Sherry. ‘Could she be her mother?’ He thought, Ron had also noticed the picture and wondered the same.

Based on Barry’s passive vision skill, the necklace was a Heroic item based on the orange colored font that read, “Tear of the Blue Maiden”, above it. He imagined what sort of effect or properties it would provide the wearer, probably something relating to magic, he assumed.

Aside from the necklace, there was really nothing else worth looking at that caught his eye. Ron would check out the books that were on the shelves, probably wanting to find some literature to kill his time while they waited. Barry on the other hand would take a seat, plopping down on a chair and laying back in the comfy chair he was in, shutting his eyes.

Anna would rest her head on Kat’s shoulder, who didn’t mind it at all, since she had allowed her to do that same before. Kat would glance at Barry every so often, she was still surprised to see him again. Deep inside, she wanted to give him a proper thanks, rather than the rushed one she gave right before they teleported off Earth.

However, Kat was hesitant about saying anything because she could see that Barry was also taking some time to relax at the moment. Another reason was that all she knew about him so far was that he had a habit of cursing a lot, and the last time they met, he urgently told her and her brother to fuck off while he dealt with the zombies that were chasing them.

Gathering some courage and drawing a deep breath before releasing it, she decided to try and give it a shot at making small talk with him. “H-Hey there, B-Barry?” Her social anxiety was already surfacing.

Barry slightly raised one of his eyelids, taking a quick look at her for a moment. He hadn’t really cared to look at her appearance much since the last time, when he was in a life and death scenario. She had long hair that was a darker than normal brunette color with bangs that almost covered both eyes that were colored purple, her skin was a peach color. Kat had a similar figure as Anna, only she seemed weaker since he had never seen her fight ever. She looked like a shut-in based on appearance, which matched her timid nature.

“Hey.” He replied, sounding almost uninterested, before closing his eye again.

One word from him was already making her regret her choice of talking to him, thinking that now was probably not a good time to chat with him. “O-Oh! I-I’m sorry, I wasn’t t-thinking about how tired you c-could be right now. I-I’ll leave you-”

Anna heard her trying to talk to Barry and chimed in. “Kat, don’t bother talking to this grouch. He knows nothing about being kind to others or even considering their feelings. So please don’t give him any sort of attention.”

Barry remained chill and laid back, responding in back in turn. “Grouch? That’s funny, coming from a salt bag like yourself. You're the one who hasn’t gotten over me taking first place in the tutorial.”

Anna felt his words taking a stab at her pride and fired a couple back his way, despite the sickness she was feeling. “You would have never gotten first if it wasn’t for me and Kat, literally handing you the last two quests item. Which, by the way, wasn’t easy to get while you apparently took a damn nap up until the end!”

Kat could feel the heated tension between the two building up and began to panic. “R-Relax you two, t-there’s no need to-”

He leaned forward, his eyes now serious with both hands clutching the arm rests. “Yeah, I admit, I did take a fucking nap! Why? Because I ran all over the city, not only gathering those quest items, but also saving people from their shitty situations at the time. Take Kat for example, her and her brothers dragged a parade of undead my way after I damn well, fell out of an apartment building. There was also a father and son that got themselves trapped in a mob of zombies because they didn’t know any better, YET, I had to step in and help out. It was the dumb shit that everyone did, back during that time, that tired me the hell out! I placed myself in harms way to save literally everyone I saw that was in need, and I hated it!”

There was a moment of silence before Barry continued, he noticed that he was getting a bit too heated and took it down a notch. He could also see that Kat was specifically was feeling guilty, probably believing that she must have been a burden to him for basically forcing him to cover her and her family before. “Listen, Kat, I’m sorry. That time was not your fault, it was just bad timing for me, is all. So don’t put blame on yourself for trying to save yourself.”

He sunk deeper into his chair, both women were speechless at his sudden outburst. Ron had also been listening to his rant, he couldn’t believe what he had heard. Anna was shocked as well, she didn’t think of him as the type who put others in front before himself. “Whenever I see someone in deep shit, or something that looks too troublesome to handle, I want to walk away and tell myself that it an’t my problem. I hate, HATE, solving other people’s problems. And yet I still…”

His voice trailed off for a bit, his anger still being contained within. ‘Forget it, none of you would understand. Not like I do either…’

Barry would then rise up from his chair and walked away, exiting the cold silence that filled the room and entering back into the shop portion of the building. He needed to be alone for some time.

Ron, Kat, and Anna remained in the room, unsure of what to do now after Barry basically dropped some lore bomb on them. Kat and Anna now knew one of the reasons why he was cursing so much and had an unapproachable vibe.

Ron had always thought he was a bully his whole life, never listening to anyone else and doing whatever he wanted. But that was not the case apparently, he figured Barry was just venting all the time whenever he could because of the stress he dealt with every day.

All in all, they would now see Barry in a different light compared to what they saw him as before. Believing him to have internal conflicting issues with himself possibly, or probably something deeper than that.

Barry entered the store room, looking around blatantly, just trying to see anything cool or weird that would distract him enough to forget about the episode that went on in the living room. “Weird shit here, weird shit there…”

“Yes, there’s a lot of, weird shit, everywhere in here, Barry.” It was Sherry who responded to him close nearby, working on Anna’s potion, using an alchemy table to brew one up. “If you’d like, you can watch me at work if you need an excuse to clear your mind. I could hear some of your rant seeping out of the room, although not all of it.”

Barry felt a bit embarrassed for a moment, but then shrugged it off, he was getting loud at the time and should have held it in. “I apologize, I never meant to start a fight in your…house?”

Sherry laughed as she carefully transferred some odd green goop of some kind into a test tube. “Yes, my house is connected to the shop, as you have guessed. And no need to be sorry, we all have our moments to vent when needed. I’m sure you probably needed that, but haven’t realized it yet.”

He hadn’t thought of it that way, Barry did feel somewhat relieved to have shared some of his feelings to some other people besides Ned. Yet, he still wished he could know the truth to his sudden urges to help others despite wanting to turn the other way because it seemed to be a hassle. “Maybe…say, I’ve been wondering something since you mentioned your name and brought us here.”

She watched as a purple liquid swirled around a glass set of tubes, connected to a magical burner and a bunch of other odd looking objects. “Yeah? And what’s that?”

“Your grandfather wouldn’t happen to be called Oswald, would it?” He asked, raising a brow to her.

Hearing her grandfather’s name from him, shook her, turning to face him with a curious look. “How do you know-”

The entrance to the shop slammed open, almost as if on queue, alerting them to look in its direction. “Sherry! Are you back home!? Please be-”

It was an elf, a tall bulky middle-aged man with silver hair tied in a ponytail and a scruffy beard, inventor goggles were worn above his eyes, his appearance looked that of a mad scientist who was equipped for war. He wore a protective cloak, strapped with bandoleers of all sorts of colorful looking flasks, a purple satchel was worn across his body, in his left hand was something that shared a striking resemblance to a handgun, except it had a chemist theme to it.

The man had spotted his granddaughter working on an alchemy table with someone he didn’t know, more importantly, a young man at that who was probably trying to make moves on her. “Hey, why are you standing so close to her! Back away right now, or I’ll put a few holes through you!” He threatened, aiming his sights on Barry as he approached.

“Grandpa, no! It’s not like that.” Sherry stopped what she was doing and got in between his range of fire before he could think about pulling the trigger.

Barry remained still, he didn’t think much of the man’s threat but was really interested in the equipment that he was wearing. Almost everything that her grandpa was wearing was Rare based on his vision, especially his cool and complex handgun that we was wielding. ‘He’s the real deal, he was probably out there fighting in the city along with everyone else.’

Her grandpa would embrace her in a warm and loving hug, “I’m so glad to see that you are alright, you're not hurt, are you?” He tried looking for any injuries or scratches, concerned for her safety the whole time the Chakarie launched their attack.

“I’m fine, really. I was coming back on my way from inputting our shipment order actually, but then as you know, everything went into chaos.” She then glanced at Barry, then back at her grandpa. “His name is Barry. Hope you don’t mind, but we have some guests. One of them was struck by a dagger that was laced with poison, and I was recently finishing up an antidote for her before you came in.”

Her grandpa looked at her with sweet endearment, then back at Barry with a look of seriousness. “Guests, huh? Hmmm...” He wondered what sort of guests these people could be, especially Barry.

That was when Barry decided to try and break the suspicion that her grandpa had against him. “Hey there, you wouldn’t happen to be Oswald, would you?”

Hearing his name, perked his ear up, giving Barry a more intense look of suspicion. “And if I am, what’s it to you?” He then got in front of Sherry, presenting himself to Barry with confidence and composure, in an attempt to test his nerves in front of his precious granddaughter.

Barry looked at his inventory and pulled out the same rune shaped pin that Ned had given him. Both Oswald and Sherry watched as the pin materialized into the palm of his hand, intrigued by how he was able to do that. “Ned told me to come see you for help, and that he also hopes that you’ve been running a successful business here.”

Oswald was stunned, he wasn’t sure he would hear from Ned again in so long, let alone send someone to him. “Ned, you say…how do you know him?” He began to ease up a bit.

Barry rubbed his neck, unsure of where to begin. “It’s a long story, but he’s doing alright at the moment. He actually told me to tell you this.” He paused for a moment before continuing. “He said to stay away from Sirens, no matter how attractive they seem to be.”

His message made Sherry chuckle a bit, she couldn’t believe that someone her grandpa knew would tell him something like that. Oswald’s cheeks would turn rosy, likely embarrassed by his old friend’s message. He faced away, leaning against his store counter. “It was one time, why can’t he ever let it go.”

Barry had no idea what a Siren was, but he could tell that Oswald was embarrassed. “Was it something bad? What is a Siren?” He asked, genuinely wanting to know.

“No- Yes- gah! Don’t worry about it, w-what are you here for?” Oswald wanted to switch the topic so fast, he did not feel like sharing his moonlight story with a Siren at the time.

Reading the room, Barry dropped the subject and went back to the important reason why Ned had sent him there. “In short, this world is doomed to face total destruction if nothing is done in less than a year, and I was told by Ned, you may be able to help stop it from happening.”

Oswald got in a thinker pose, while Sherry gasped upon hearing the news. “So I wasn’t just seeing things…those weird messages were true all along…” Oswald spoke softly.

“Yeah, I saw the messages too. I thought I was hallucinating as well, maybe from being stressed during the whole Chakarie invasion. But hearing it from you and grandpa, makes it more believable.” Sherry said, wondering what sort of ruination could happen to their world.

Barry was relieved to hear that they knew what he was talking about, he didn’t need to explain much of anything else if that was the case. “Great, so you both know about this problem we are all facing. Then, Oswald, would you happen to know of a way to find any clues or leads to prevent this calamity from happening?”

Oswald thought for a moment, “Potentially, maybe, but that would require a couple of ingredients for me to use to concoct a potion of future sight. And I know one of those ingredients is a rare component that is difficult to retrieve again…”

“That’s alright, I’ll do whatever I can to retrieve it. Just tell me where to-”

“It’s no longer possible to obtain it anymore, because Ned and I already killed them already, unfortunately.” Oswald said bluntly, cutting Barry’s sentence off.

“What?” Barry was stunned, what sort of ingredient was needed to make the potion.

Oswald sighed, rubbing his head, before turning to face his granddaughter. “Don’t you have a cure to give to someone? You should hurry.”

Sherry freaked out, realizing that she had forgotten something important. “Oh shoot! Anna! I’m coming with your antidote, please be alive!” She shouted out, as she stormed off to quickly give the potion to her in the other room.

It was just Barry and Oswald in the shop for now, Barry needed answers to try and solve this quest as fast as he could before time ran out. Although the quest said they had less than a year, it still didn’t mean they should be taking their time with finishing it. “Oswald, tell me what it is that you need?”

Oswald didn’t speak, his mind was else where, reminiscing about an incident of the past. Barry leaned with him against the counter and crossed his arms. “Hey, I’ll tell you right now. Me and a couple others that are in the other room, we’re not from this world, Scion as you people call it.” His words caught Oswald’s attention.

He continued. “We’re from a world called Earth, a place not as unique or magical like this. Although I may not be from here, I promised Ned that I would do whatever it takes to finish this quest. So even if you may not be able to find the first clue to look for, I’ll keep scouring all over this bizarre place in search of one. I still have a reason to keep on going, and this calamity will not be the end of me.”

Barry walked away from Oswald, he was determined to finish the quest alone if he had to, he wasn’t going to wait around for someone else to find a solution for the mess they were in.

After a couple more steps away, Oswald would speak up. “Hold on…” Barry halted, listening to what he had to say this time. “I didn’t know you weren’t from this world, forgive me. I’m still processing what has been shown to me by these weird messages, I was also hesitant about telling you the truth about the important ingredient that is required to make the serum. That trick you did, manifesting that sigil out of then air, is proof enough that you aren’t from this world. You seem to know more about what is going on than I do.”

There was a pause before he continued. “Had you been someone else that actually lives here, in this city, I would not be telling you this. It is still possible to retrieve what I need…because they’re still alive.”

“And what are, they, when you say that? Be more specific, please.” Barry was all ears.

Oswald took a moment to speak again, to Barry, it seemed he was hesitant on revealing what it was. “People of the night, the nocturnal ones who are awake in the night of the stars. Many feared them because of what they are capable of, and although I agree that these people of the night can be dangerous, but the ones Ned and I have met are nothing like the rest. They are different, kind-hearted beings that are not as bad as they seem.”

“And where would they be, are they far from here or…” Barry wanted him to continue.

Oswald released a heavy sigh and finished the truth. “They live under the city, Barry. Still alive after what me and Ned did to them, regrettably. A whole city destroyed and in shambles from what we had done to them. We call them many things, witches, werewolves…vampires. I know they are alive because I’ve tried looking for survivors myself, that was why I was hesitant about revealing the truth to you.”

Barry processed what was said, if that was the case, he didn’t blame him for wanting to hide the truth from him. But if these people of the night were so nice, why were Oswald and Ned the ones to destroy their city? It didn’t matter for now, so he brushed the thought aside and realized something else. ‘Could that mysterious person that took Puck and Anna’s sister away be the same kind of people he’s talking about?’

Sherry would then come back to share the news of Anna’s recovery to Barry. “Your friend Anna has taken the potion, and it’s working wonders right now. Albeit, she commented about it tasting like watered down vinegar, so we forced her to drink all of it.”

Barry looked at her and Oswald, he wanted to know more about these people of the night and also share to Oswald about the secret entrance he found where the stranger took Puck and Luna. He also wanted to bring them up to speed about the game, Lost Adventure, they were now participating in. So much to talk was about to unfold. “Good, because I’d like for all of us to exchange information with each other. So let’s take seats in your lovely living room, shall we?”
