Caleb mostly known as Cal, is in eighth grade. He was considered a quiet kid by most and had strong anger issues. With those traits and the mindset his father gave him, it ended in a lot of meaningless fights. He believes he was born a fighter, someone who can''''t change and must always be the "bad guy." After far too many fights he finds himself sitting the principal''''s office having the same conversation he''''s had a million times. His principal John was a large man, with brown hair and a scruffy beard. John notices quickly Caleb isn''''t listening to him, and gives him one last offer. John cares for Caleb and his mother, wishing the best for them. This final offer was a way to keep Caleb in school and possibly get him to stop the fights. The offer was to give a new student two years younger than him. This student was far better behaved and would hopefully get Caleb to act better. The morning of the tour Caleb friend Richard mostly known as Reed would meet him in front of their school. Caleb tells him about his deal with the principal, Reed decides to wait with Caleb until the new kid arrives. Eventually a bus arrives, with many kids. Through the crowed a small boy. He has white hair and wear a very expensive black leather jacket. The young boy''''s name was Wick, and he was the boy Caleb was touring. Looking at Wick compared to Reed and Caleb was an immense difference. Wick had expensive clothes and a strange hair color. Caleb and Reed both have black hair. Wick was smart compared to Reed and Caleb. Reed quickly left Caleb and Wick as he had to get to class. Caleb takes Wick around the school. Showing him his classes and important rooms. By the end of the tour second period was just starting. Caleb had English with Reed. They sat next to each other in that class. Reed liked that class while Caleb hated it. So Caleb would often sleep the whole period. When Caleb fell asleep this day he woke up in another place. He was falling through the sky, he sees two other people near him. The other two are screaming, Caleb believes he''''s dreaming and doesn''''t worry, but his thoughts change when he abruptly smashes the ground.
