Rolls for this Turn:Personal: Forgotten Realms WikiThanks to Spellfire, Jon Snow is now a wielder of Spellfire and is immediately made immune to fire, along with the ability to use his internal energies to cure himself of diseases or heal injuries faster.
However, for the more grand uses of Spellfire, he cks both a teacher and/or a sufficient need to draw them out naturally. It is likely that until he sees undeniable proof, he will ignore any strange sensations, and so will not train the ability beyond expanding his internal energy pool as he grows.
Not all is lost, however, as there are two sorts of zombie pgues in Westeros right now, so opportunities for him to discover his magic may be closer than you’d think…
World: Legend of Zelda WikiThanks to Ghirro, the smallish winged mushroom monsters will begin to appear across Westeros in particurly windy locations.
This means that there will be a few in pces like the North’s coastline, but that the Stormnds will be practically infested with the blighters.Meanwhile, much of the Veil of Arren and the Westernds will be fine, at least the lower areas where most of the people are.
(Also, just because I know someone will ask, the version of them in Westeros is edible and even delicious if you know what you're doing while preparing them.)

Story:Serving as your aunt’s page in practice meant a great deal of walking quickly, remembering things exactly, and being sent to find people who were almost never where any sensible person would’ve looked first.
Sansa and you both ended up doing it for several weeks.Your aunt had more to do than ever, and Winterfell was full of tasks that still needed doing even if they did not quite deserve an adult’s full attention.Messages had to be carried.Instructions had to be repeated.People had to be found.Things had to move from one end of the castle to the other without being forgotten, deyed, or turned into some other errand along the way.
At first, Sansa was better at it than you were. This was irritating.Your aunt could tell her something once and Sansa would repeat it back word for word, with the right tone and the right order. You, by contrast, had a bad habit of remembering the shape of a message instead of the wording. This, it turned out, was not the same thing.
If your aunt said tell the kitchens that broth was to be sent to the nursery and not the hall, then the nursery mattered. If she said remind the steward that the count was to be done before sunset and not after, then before sunset mattered. If she said ask rather than tell, then that mattered too.Sansa understood this at once. You understood it after being corrected enough times that the lesson stuck.
This made the whole thing a little competitive.Sansa would repeat a message back perfectly and give you that look of hers that managed to be dylike and smug at the same time. You, in turn, tried to make up for it with speed.Sometimes this worked.Sometimes it worked badly enough to become educational.
On one afternoon, your aunt sent Sansa to remind Septa Mordane that Arya was not to be let out of needlework simply because she had vanished under a table again. You were sent to fetch Maester Luwin and ask whether the babe’s room ought to be kept warmer that evening if the cold held.Sansa was done and back before you had even found the right tower. This was partly because Sansa had a simple errand, and partly because finding Maester Luwin was less a task and more a small campaign. He was not in his chambers. He was not in the rookery. He was not with the babe.By the time you finally found him in the yard, you had begun to suspect that maesters moved through castles by some method not avaible to ordinary men.
The kitchens caused different problems. If Sansa went there, she gave the message neatly, got an answer, and returned. If you went there, the cook heard Lady Stark says and decided this meant you ought to be fed before anything else happened. There was also the matter that the kitchens were full of interruptions: steam, shouting, trays, questions, and people who never seemed to believe a message could be delivered without discussion.
Still, after enough errands, you started learning the shape of Winterfell better. Not just the rooms. The patterns.Who was usually where.Which stairs were quicker.Which corridors would be blocked at which hour.Where it was worth looking first, and where it was a waste of time. The steward could usually be found in one of three pces depending on the hour. The kennelmaster was outside if the weather was bearable and inside if it was not.Maester Luwin was never where one first looked, but often where one ought to’ve looked second.
That was where you began catching up.Sansa still remembered wording better than you did.But once the message left your aunt’s mouth and entered the castle proper, you got better at carrying it where it needed to go.You knew the faster stairs. You knew which servant would know where someone was.You knew when not to waste time with the obvious pce.Sansa carried the words better from the start. You began to carry them through Winterfell better.
This annoyed Sansa more than she liked to show.On more than one occasion, she set out with perfect composure only for you to reach the person first because you had already guessed where they’d be.She did not sulk. She simply got more determined, which in Sansa’s case meant even straighter posture and even more exact repetition.
The thing that finally stopped the competition from being the point was not some great revetion. It was simply that one afternoon your aunt needed too many things done too quickly for it to matter who was winning. The babe was fretful. One fire was burning low.More cloth was needed from the stores.A message had to go to the kitchens.Another had to go to the gate.A third needed Maester Luwin, which meant everyone involved had already suffered enough.Your aunt gave the instructions once.Sansa caught every word of them. You caught where everyone was most likely to be, and what order would waste the least time.
After that, the whole thing settled.Sansa stopped acting as though your job was to nearly remember things until she fixed them. You stopped acting as though she was simply lucky enough to sound like a proper little dy giving orders. She took the wording. You took the route. If something needed saying exactly right, Sansa handled it.If someone needed to be found quickly, you handled that. And if your aunt had a handful of errands to send in all directions at once, the two of you could sort them between you in moments.
That did not stop the funny parts.Sansa still got trapped by people answering more than she had wanted them to.You still got deyed in the kitchens and fed against your stated intentions.Arya was still occasionally useful by accident, because she knew where people were not through any orderly method but because she had already been everywhere she should not have been.Jon, now and then, would point one of you in the right direction without making a fuss.
Your aunt noticed the change before either of you said anything about it.She began giving the two of you more complicated errands.Tell this person this.Ask that person that.See whether the linens had arrived.Remind someone else that they had not.The first time the two of you handled one of those properly without having to come back for crification, your aunt looked up and told both of you well done.
By the end of those weeks, you were both better at the work than when you had started.Sansa still remembered words better than you did.You still found people and pces faster than she did.But by then it no longer felt like either of you was failing to be the other. You had simply found different parts of the same job.

Not long after that, more news came in from the south.A strange run of quakes had struck the western coast hard enough to wreck much of the Iron Fleet and damage the harbor at Seagard badly, besides.By some miracle, or some fresh insult from the gods aimed elsewhere, the royal fleet had mostly missed the worst of it.
That left Seagard battered, crowded, and half broken, but still open enough for the royal ships to come in with far less trouble than they otherwise might have faced. So now the army had begun boarding the royal fleet in preparation for carrying the war to the Iron Isnds themselves.
It was the sort of news that felt almost too convenient to trust.Still, no one in Winterfell seemed inclined to compin overmuch if the Ironborn had been handed a disaster.

Information:
1 - To crify the thing with Reputation and Skill Focuses. It was pointed out that I was being contradictory by urging you lot to focus on Jon + Sansa for the Reputation Gain, then with Cat for the Skills Gain.
So to crify, all skills are important and cking in one of them will be a big issue ter, BUT that doesn't mean you lot won’t and shouldn’t have favorites who we’ll spend more time with and gain extra reputation with. This just means that never spending time with Cat because it (very minorly) hurts our Reputation with our Favorite of Jon is a bad idea.
So spend 2/3 with favorite characters, just remember that neglecting a character who grants an important skill buff will make the ter stuff much harder than it needs to be.
A good example of this is Rob, who we don't have much of a retionship with yet, but so far he’s the best way we have to buff Social but especially Public Speaking skills.
If we focus all our time on Jon, sure he’ll love us, but the armies we’ll theoretically be leading certainly won't.Alternatively, we get Jon to like us a lot, and still train in public speaking enough to do OK at command and everything becomes easier.
Or we just go for Jon every turn, it’s entirely up to you lot, I’m just trying to warn you all about how the choices affect our Stats in the Quest.
2 - Thank You!40 votes is the most engagement I’ve ever had on something I’ve published (at least for one chapter), and I just wanted to give you all my heartfelt thanks for joining in on this Quest with me!

Write-In/Questions:1 - What should Sansa’s Poochyena be named? She already calls it “Lady,” but that could just as well be a shortening of a longer name. So, what is a good Lady name that Sansa might have given her wolf?Examples: “Lady Paws,” “Good Lady,” and “Lady Winter” or “Winter’s Lady.”
2 - Was my expnation of the Reputation and Skill Focuses system clear enough, or is there something else that you’d like crified about it?
