Seulgi, Wendy, and Katie were not aware that they were about to get caught up in the human cyclone known as Soo-young or that they were about to go singing again. The time didn’t matter, this was going to be a te night. Especially for those who have to get up early for work.
Soo-young rarely dressed up this evening. Everyone else had dressed down to go to the gym. Soo-young, however, did not know she was going to hang out with JooHyun (or anyone else for that matter) and so she was dressed up a bit. Red sparkly shirt, form-fitting bck pants, and casual dock shoes that she had personally decorated. A bit of eyeliner, some dusky eye shadow, and blood red lipstick. She left her hair down, but she did have a fashionable hair tie.
This was not overdressed for Soo-young because she likes to dress up and look pretty. She was young and beautiful and was not afraid to funt it. She never wore disreputable or questionable clothing, just items that would funt and accent her very feminine figure. She saw no reason to hide her looks or body. And just about everyone who saw her appreciated the efforts she put in on it.
Seeing JooHyun and the rest, Soo-young squealed in delight. She ran up to her friend, grabbed her hand, and pulled. Fortunately, JooHyun was used to this treatment. She gave a martyred sigh and a smile at these shenanigans. She allowed herself to be pulled and dragged outside. Soo-young was literally bouncing as she waited for the other three to catch up.
“Come ON!”
The other four had trouble keeping up with the nearly running young woman. So, they stopped trying. They walked at their pace to the increasing annoyance of the 5th of their party. They made their way to the car park to get into their autos to get to the club. The bar was close enough to walk, but they would not be comfortable leaving their cars in the restaurant’s parking lot.
“Don’t worry,” said JooHyun. She continued, “She’s always like this. You’ll get used to it.” There seemed to be just a hint of malice in the smile as she said this. But not too much. But just enough that the other three looked at each other with just a hint of trepidation. This would be the spice to make the evening just that much more interesting.
Seulgi and the girls were concerned for their voices. They had already gone singing earlier today, so they had a legitimate concern that they might end up hoarse in the morning. There would be some hot tea with honey and lemon in all of their very near futures.
JooHyun stepped over to her friend and jerked her metaphorical chain hard enough to get and maintain her attention. She made a quick expnation that they had gone to the gym today, and went singing for a couple of hours already before going to the restaurant. That tonight would be a necessarily calm and slow one. This would just be a rexing night to get to know each other. The real event would be another night when they can go all out.
Soo-young nodded in understanding. She did understand, but that would not stop the overly excited girl from going all out anyway. That was just who she was. She rarely ever did things by half measures. Some people cimed that she was OCD, emphasis on obsessive. She knew that she was not, however. She would also unleash her wrath on those who said it because it was an insult to those who actually suffered under the horror of that particur affliction.
Soo-young was very aware of her quirks. Both good and bad. She tried to emphasize the good and mitigate the bad. Maybe not well enough for some people, but she made the effort to lessen her more obnoxious tendencies. So if they were still unsatisfied it became their problem, not hers.
Everyone got into their cars and headed back over to the karaoke pce they had left not too long ago. They disembarked their vehicles and ambled over to the establishment. One member had to be physically restrained to join the rest in their ambling.
The manager of the karaoke saw who was headed over to the establishment and had a wide grin emerged at her presence. Then he saw JooHyun and his grin jelled at the recent memory. The look of disbelief crept up at Seulgi, Wendy, and Katie showing up as well. A look of horror started to show until he saw it was just these five, and not everyone else had left only about two hours ago.
Still, he was a professional. His professional face was able to mitigate the sweat that was starting to roll down his back. There was an evil grin on Katie’s face when she saw the look on his face. They all knew what he was thinking.
“Will there be the others be rejoining you this evening?”
Seulgi took pity on the poor man. She id a calming hand on his arm and said, “No, only us at this time.” The warm, calming touch worked. The manager managed to give an actually really welcoming smile at this.
“Will the dies be needing any snacks or beverages tonight?”
“I am thinking that some water and tea will be fine for now. We just came from a restaurant, so no snacks will be needed. But, do you have hot tea? Maybe some lemon or honey? If so, that would be wonderful.”
“We can arrange for it, ma’am. Unfortunately, the room you previously had is currently occupied, may I suggest B5?”
Katie managed to keep a straight face and not say “You sank my battleship!” But a grin with a giggle did slip out. This earned her a sharp gnce from the manager, but the moment quickly passed as well.
Seulgi, the de facto leader, said with a genuine smile, “Yes, that would be fine, thank you.” Mama Kang made sure to raise her girl to be polite.
The manager did serve hot tea, but all they had was sugar. He surreptitiously gave some cash to an employee and told them to go to the store and buy a lemon and a bottle of honey. He would not dream of doing this for anyone else. But he knew and liked JooHyun and Soo-young. He also knew that if these dies became regur customers, that business would grow wildly. He knew that people would literally pay money to hear them sing. So, a very minor investment to make them happier to keep coming back would be repaid many fold.
JooHyun then said, “On second thought, please add some chicken skewers and some other light snacks.”
He bobbed his head in understanding.
Then he personally guided them to room B5 and opened the door for them.
