Chapter 41: Grave Underneath the Grave

Chapter 41: Grave Below and Above + Middle

Wen Baiyu's yang energy is sufficient, so Zongzi invites him to dig a grave.

Wen Baiyu just wanted to scold his mother, what kind of reason is this! Not convincing at all!

Wen Baiyu sat in the car, opening the window to its largest extent, taking deep breaths of fresh air, but even so, he couldn't stop feeling like vomiting, and Wen Baiyu almost threw up his internal organs all along the way.

Yu Wei Yang turned around and looked at him, saying: "Do you have to? There are still 300 kilometers left, can't you bear it?"

  Three hundred kilometers...

Wen Baiyu was really fooled by Wang Erniu, and now he is very regretful.

That Zongzi kept wailing and begging Wen Baiyu for help, otherwise they would really have to divorce. He kept saying how much he liked his wife and absolutely couldn't divorce her.

People all say that it's better to demolish a temple than to destroy a marriage, but Wen Baiyu thought he was quite pitiful. However, that didn't mean he should be allowed to dig up graves! Is this something humans do?!

Zongzi still has a killer move, which is to come over every day and cry while hugging his leg. The neighbors even think that the usually affable boss is running a loan shark business and have already called the police! When the police arrive, Zongzi can't produce his ID again. Wen Baiyu thinks that once the police take Zongzi away, the world will be quiet again.

This is great, this damn restaurant only has Wen Baiyu and Yu Wei Yang with identification cards, the rest are all undocumented!

  Hehe, life is unbearable now.

Wen Baiyu agreed to Zongzi's request and went to Shanxi for a trip in order not to let his painstakingly operated small restaurant close down.

Zongzi said, he will cover all the round-trip expenses, and you can choose whatever burial objects you want from his tomb!

Although they are antiques and have been for many, many years, what if someone finds out he took the antique? Should he tell the police uncle that it was a gift from the tomb owner?!

The police will definitely catch him and then send him to a mental hospital...

Because they are going to dig graves, they need to bring a lot of tools, so they can't take the train or plane, and they won't pass security checks. Moreover, Wen Baiyu found that these black households around him didn't even have ID cards, how did they buy tickets?!

Wen Baiyu finally compromised on the safest method, which was driving.

Tang Zihao and Yu Wei Yang also followed, these two can drive, Wen Baiyu just sat in the car, but he vomited his heart out, miserable to the extreme.

900 kilometers away, a remote village in Shanxi Province, where there is said to be a natural wetland, with good local customs and conditions, surrounded by mountains and water, with excellent feng shui.

Yu Wei Yang looked at Wen Bai Yu and said: "Why don't we take a break for a while?"

"Never mind, let's just get going early and I'll be fine after a nap. Once I fall asleep, I won't feel like throwing up anymore."

Wan Xi Jing Hou supported his shoulders and let him lean on himself, saying: "Lean on me and sleep."

Wen Baiyu immediately leaned down, adjusted her posture a few times, and finally lay on Wan Qi Jinghou's leg to sleep. Only then did she feel a little better in her stomach, but still felt stifled.

Yu Wei Yang looked like a white cat lying on the leg of Wan Qi Jing Hou, who was gently patting his back and couldn't help but laugh.

They drove for nine hundred kilometers and arrived in the afternoon when the sun was about to set, with a hazy sky.

Wen Baiyu got off the carriage, his legs softened and almost fell to the ground. Fortunately, Wan Jingshou was quick-witted and stretched out his hand to scoop him up, carrying him on his back.

Wen Baiyu gazed listlessly at the fiery clouds on the horizon, took a deep breath and said, "This air is indeed different."

Although the area is remote, there is a mountain forest here, and there are natural wild wetlands. Although the wetland is not very large, it has the advantage of being natural, so many people like to come here for tourism and experience nature.

Although it's a small village, it's well-built and the farmhouse is quite large. Wen Baihe and his group found a place to stay.

After Wen Baiyu and her companions put down their luggage, they went outside to have dinner. The house was already full of people, and there were not many tables left, only the outdoor tables remained. Wen Baiyu and her companions went outside to sit down. The boss was very enthusiastic and quickly served dishes, all of which were game meats.

Wen Baiyu ate his meal and suddenly came back to life. Just a moment ago, he was on the verge of death, but now he was jumping around with energy.

Just then, someone suddenly shouted "ahhh" and pushed open the door of Nongjiale, rushing in with a "bang". He should be a villager, but he looked very flustered, covered in mud all over his body, as if he had rolled around in a muddy pit. His face was also deathly pale, seemingly scared by something.

He rushed in and shouted at everyone he saw, "Ghost!!! There's a ghost!!!! It's too scary!!!"

There were many people in Nongjiale, and when they saw him, they all stopped their chopsticks and stared at him with a look of astonishment.

The boss came over soon, saw the man and immediately looked very bad, stepped forward to pinch his ear and said: "You stinky boy, all day long not doing good things, don't make a racket, get in."

That man grabbed the boss's clothes and said, "Uncle Er! There really are ghosts!! They're on the mountain! I saw one! A bride in a big red dress, she was sitting in the mountains crying! I...I asked her why she was crying alone, she...her head suddenly disappeared, both hands choked me, wanted to choke me to death! Too scary Uncle Er! There really are ghosts! Look, my neck is all purple!"

The man said, clutching his collar, Wen Baiyu glared at him with a look, and indeed saw a large purple mark, which was frightening to look at.

The boss's eyes changed, but for so many guests, he still said he was blind and coaxed him in.

"Hey, you guys think that the ghost he met in the mountains might be his bride from the underworld?"

Wan Qi Jing Hou shook his head and said: "I don't know, but one thing is for sure, what he encountered was not a ghost, but zongzi."

  "Really is zongzi?"

Wan Qi Jing Hou said: "The bruise on his neck is a corpse poison brand, it's not just a simple bruise."

Wen Baiyu said: "Will something happen?"

Wan Qi Jing Hou said: "It should be nothing serious, people with weak physique will get sick for a while, it's not a big deal."

Some bold customers asked the boss what was going on, and the boss just smiled and said: "Nothing, nothing. That kid is always idle and only cares about eating and drinking. I think he's drunk and talking nonsense to get attention, like a performing monkey."

Wen Baiyu clicked her tongue and said, "This old boss must be lying, there's definitely something going on. They're not even saying that their village is haunted, but they've also found a girl for a ghost marriage."

They had finished dinner and it was already dark when they saw the man who had been shouting earlier in the backyard, preparing to go into the room.

Wen Baiyu turned around and hurried two steps forward, smiling and saying: "Hey, I'm asking you, how do we get to the wetlands behind this mountain?"

The man looked at Wen Baiyu like a monster and said: "Do you dare to go to the wetland behind the mountain? It's haunted there!"

Wen Baiyu said: "Haunted? I don't believe it."

The man listened and then pulled up his collar to show Wen Baiyu, saying: "Look, this is what the headless female ghost pinched me!"

Wen Baiyu said: "What's going on? We just heard it with one ear too."

The man, seeing Wen Baiyu's letter, sat down in the courtyard and said: "I'm telling you, it's really too scary... This mountain is haunted! The people who live here know that it's haunted, we've even held sacrifices to ward off evil spirits, and scared away many guests. So now they don't mention it at all. Just over a month ago... my childhood friend, a rascal, had no job but learned to gamble from others, owed a lot of debt, and finally had no choice but to listen to the rumors that there were many graves on the back mountain, with treasures buried with the dead. He actually started digging up graves! That rascal pulled me along, carrying a shovel, saying let's make a big haul, I didn't know what he was going to do at the time, so I followed him up the mountain. When night fell, the back mountain was dark and eerie, with shallow water that could trap you if you walked badly, we dug as we walked. Good grief! He really did dig something up! At the time, we dug a big hole and saw a corner of red clothing, like a bride's wedding dress, we continued to dig, and it really was a bride! After digging her up, we were so scared our livers were shattered! Guess what!"

The man's expression was particularly rich, and he spoke with great excitement. Wen Baiyu felt a chill run down his back as he listened, and the man still teased him, saying: "What is it?"

The man lowered his voice and said: "It's a female corpse, without a head!!"

Wen Baiyu swallowed a mouthful of saliva.

The man continued: "And the scariest thing is, this female corpse, she was wearing a big red dress, although she had no head, but her figure was slender and elegant, the small hands that were exposed were particularly white, and they still had elasticity, it was as if I saw a living ghost, I was so scared that I turned around and ran. That rascal was extremely bold, although he was also scared, but he actually managed to strip off the female corpse's bracelets and gold ornaments before turning around and running away."

Wen Baiyu thought, this guts is indeed quite big.

Later on, strange things kept happening in the village, almost as if it was related to what Zongzi had said.

The gambler sold the bracelets and gold ornaments that accompanied/buried him, exchanged a lot of money, and went to gamble again. In the village, as soon as it got dark, you could hear women crying, sobbing, and it was scary. As long as the sun sets, the crying sound comes from the back mountain, and someone who returns from the mountain at night also sees a woman wearing a big red dress sitting on the ground crying. If someone passes by and asks her what's wrong or if she needs help, the woman's head disappears instantly, leaving only a bloody neck, and then stretches out her hand to strangle. In fact, many villagers have encountered this.

From then on, no one dared to go up the mountain anymore. However, tourists from outside were completely unaware of the situation, and starting from that day, there were people going missing every single day.

The villagers began to feel that something was amiss and the rascal was also frightened into telling them the truth.

The villagers all thought it was a ghost haunting, so they went up the mountain together and found the headless female corpse exposed outside, which had rotted to an unrecognizable state. The originally white and tender small hands had withered away, just like a skull.

The villagers reburied the female corpse and burned a lot of paper people for sacrifice.

But in this way, strange things continued, and many men in the village disappeared and could not be found.

The man said, "Let me tell you, actually our village has many strange things! Not just this one thing! There are many more! I'm still listening to my old father's stories... It's been over 30 years now, and at that time, I was still wearing open-crotch pants! My old father went to the mountain to chop firewood, and on that evening, it rained in the mountains. That place has a lot of marshes and shallow water, and the road is not easy to walk on. Even villagers often accidentally fall into them. My old father thought he'd wait for a while until the rain stopped before leaving. But as night fell, guess what he saw!"

Wen Baiyu swallowed her saliva and shook her head.

The man sighed and said, "It's too scary!" He continued, "He said he saw it very clearly, a man who came out of the ground! It was really from underground! And the man's face was particularly pale, like a ghost! His body was also covered in wounds. My old man said that even though they were far away, they could still feel a chill like an ice cellar, and the cold air had frozen him to death from afar! My old man didn't dare look at the man's face! It's really too scary!"

Wen Baiyu listened and felt that what he said was somewhat inconsistent with what Zongzi had said. It turned out that these people were not sending the female corpse to Zongzi for a ghost marriage, but simply re-burying her. And this female corpse was wearing a big red wedding dress.

Wen Baiyu returned to her room and said, "This is really strange. The body of a headless woman was actually dug up from the back mountain, and she was even wearing a wedding dress."

Wan Qi Jinghou said: "This should be a burial companion, because when he heard him say that, there was no coffin when it was dug up."

Wen Baiyu nodded, and Yu Wangyang said: "It's already dark, why don't we go up the mountain to take a look?"

Wen Baiyu looked at him and said, "How dare you be so presumptuous."

Yu Wei Yang said: "What's the big deal? Besides, there are tombs on the mountain, who knows, we might even find Xiang Wang's tomb."

He said and began to pack his luggage, putting all the things he needed in the lower compartment, and also brought water and food.

Wen Baiyu said: "It looks like they are fleeing in a panic."

Everyone packed lightly, bringing just a few simple things, after all they were only going to take a look around and be prepared for any unexpected situations.

Then the four of them went out, because everyone had heard that it was haunted, so no one dared to go out at night, and all the doors were tightly closed.

They left the farmhouse and headed towards the back mountain. As soon as they entered the back mountain, they could feel a cool breeze.

Tang Zilai grabbed Yu Wei Yang's hand and said: "Be careful, Boss Yu, there is a wetland over here, don't get trapped."

Yu Wei nodded and took out a flashlight to carefully shine it on the ground.

Wen Baiyu was also holding a flashlight, walking and suddenly "puff" a blue flame flashed for an instant and then went out, scaring Wen Baiyu to let out a loud "ah!" and quickly scrambling onto Wan Jinghou's body.

  Yu Wei Yang: "......"

"Wen Baiyu stammered: 'Th-th-that... there's a ghost fire over there! Really! Blue one!'"

Wan Kuang Jing Hou looked at him hanging on himself, couldn't help but laugh, stretched out his hand and patted his buttocks, making Wen Bai Yu extremely embarrassed, staring at him with wide eyes.

Wan Qi Jing Hou said: "It's phosphorescent fire, this mountain behind should be used by villagers to bury dead bones, in other words, it's a cemetery. Having phosphorescent fire is not surprising."

Wen Baiyu was even more frightened and stuttered: "T-tomb...tomb...cemetery..."

  "Wooo... wooo..."

  "Wooo... wooo..."

Suddenly a gust of wind blew up, and Wen Baiyu shivered slightly. There was a sound mixed with the wind, which came faintly.

Wen Baiyu suddenly regretted going up the mountain!

Yu Wei Yang was startled and said: "Is... is it a cry?"

Tang Zi grasped his hand tightly and said, "Don't worry, Boss Yu, I'm here for you."

Wen Baiyu was so frightened by the two of them that he got goosebumps all over his body, and at this time, the crying sound became clearer and clearer.

  "Wooo... Wuuuuu..."

It seems like a woman is crying, her voice is very low and sorrowful.

  "Shh—"

Wan Xi Jing Hou suddenly turned off the flashlight, covered Wen Bai Yu's mouth, and then pulled him behind a large tree. Tang Zi also dragged Yu Yang over, and the four of them crouched down, hiding their bodies behind the tree.

They dodged past, and heard the sound of "Woo" mixed with the sound of footsteps, then in the darkness, a red figure appeared, getting closer and closer. Wen Baiyu opened her eyes wide, and it was indeed a woman wearing a big red wedding dress!

The woman wore a big red wedding dress, looking young and beautiful. The makeup on her face was a bit thick, with too much powder making her look pale, but it's still not hard to see that she is a beauty.

The woman wore a golden phoenix coronet on her head, bangles on her hands, and gold ornaments on her chest. The whole person looked radiant, must be the bride of a wealthy family.

The woman cried as she walked slowly away from them, stopping at a distance and sitting down on a large rock to continue crying.

  Wen Baiyu: "......"

Wen Baiyu was held in Wan Kuanghou's arms, his mouth and nose covered, almost unable to breathe, staring at the woman with wide eyes.

The woman cried "Woo Woo" for a while, looking very pitiful. She was also good-looking, no wonder the passing men would go ask her what happened.

The woman kept crying, sobbing and choking back tears. Wen Baiyu watched her for a long time, initially feeling scared, but later relaxed, thinking that this woman didn't pose any threat after all.

At this moment, a large insect suddenly crawled over from the side. Wen Baiyu had never seen such an insect and couldn't name it. Because there was a patch of wild wetland on the mountain, where many species lived, including many insects, so it wasn't surprising.

Wen Baiyu's face suddenly turned pale, and he was covered by Wan Qi Jinghou, his throat moving rapidly, almost vomiting.

All I saw was the woman sitting on a rock, a large insect crawling over, from beside the woman, and suddenly bending down, stretching out her hand, grasping the big bug, then stuffing it into her mouth.

  "Rustle rustle...... Rustle, rustle...... Gurgle!"

The woman's mouth opened and closed, constantly chewing on the large insect with her teeth, making a crispy sound, finally swallowing it with a gulp, leaving behind a yellowish-white sticky/thick tissue fluid at the corner of her mouth!

The white feathered one was feeling nauseous in the stomach, almost vomiting out last night's dinner. Unable to bear it any longer, she simply turned her head around and nestled into General Wan's shoulder, not looking anymore!

  "Shhh... shhh..."

The woman suddenly stood up and walked towards the big tree, crying as she went.

Wan Jie Jing Hou silently patted Wen Bai Yu's shoulder, and Wen Bai Yu looked up. Wan Jie Jing Hou then grabbed his wrist, glanced around, and signaled for him to follow.

Tang Zi also grabbed Ruyu Yang, and the four of them started circling around the tree, slowly moving while keeping a certain distance from the woman.

The woman walked past the trees, seemingly unaware of them, and then continued on her way with a sob. It was at this moment that Wen Baiyu suddenly felt a chill behind him.

Subconsciously turning back for a glance, I let out an "Ahhh!!" of despair.

A pale face appeared behind her, with too much white/pink makeup, and both cheeks were painted peach red, just like highland red, wearing a gold ornament on her head, looking very heavy, wearing a big red wedding dress, like a new bride.

Wen Baiyu shouted loudly, successfully attracting the woman who was walking by. She turned her head around, revealing a pale face with an eerie smile, and then "Bang", her head was gone!

  It's gone!

Only one throat of blood was left, and then stretched out his hand and walked towards them.

Wen Baiyu felt that this was also not her fault, who the heck knew there wasn't just one female zongzi! Her own back had another one running out.

The woman behind him was also "pa" and her head was gone, she stretched out her hand and grabbed Wen Baiyu.

Wen Baiyu shouted, and Wan Jingshou pulled him up with one hand, saying: "Let's go."

Tang Zi caught up with Yu Wei Yang and followed them from behind. In the end, it was two headless female zombies chasing after them.

Wen Baiyu ran while saying: "Too... too scary..."

Wen Baiyu said, turning his head to take a look, the two dumplings were chasing them relentlessly, with blood gushing out of their necks and splashing onto the ground, it was extremely disgusting.

Wen Baiyu said: "They all don't have heads, why can they still see us?"

Wan Qi Jing Hou said: "I finally figured out why all the villagers who got into trouble were men."

  "What's wrong?"

Wan Qi Jing Hou said: "Because of the yang energy, these dumplings were not even present at the burial, and when distinguishing between prey, it relies on the yang energy."

Wen Baiyu suddenly remembered, this was a bad omen. Just now when they were squatting under the tree, Rain Boss was clearly closer to that female zombie, but instead of going for him, she came over and patted his shoulder. According to Wan Jingshou's words, Rain Boss had corpse energy stored in his body, how could he compare to a normal person like himself? So the female zombie ignored Rain Wenyang and came to pat his shoulder instead.

Wen Baiyu and the four of them kept running forward, Wen Baiyu was panting and shouting: "This...this way of running is not a solution either...I'm going to die from exhaustion...ah!"

He hadn't finished speaking when he suddenly felt a sinking sensation under his feet and fell into something.

Wen Baiyu lowered his head to take a look, and it turned out to be a swamp! It was too dark, and they didn't have flashlights, luckily Wan Jinhou grabbed him, or else he would have fallen in completely.

Yu Wei Yang saw Wen Bai Yu sink in and said: "What to do, dumplings are coming!"

Wen Baiyu thought to herself, I know zongzi is coming!

Two headless rice dumpling girls ran over, it was strange that although their prey was right in front of them, the two rice dumplings did not move forward, but instead circled around them several times before turning and rushing into the bushes.

"What's all the commotion about now?"

"Rustle, rustle, rustle...... Rustle, rustle, rustle......"

"Shā shā, shā, shā shā shā……"

A strange noise arose, as if something was rapidly approaching them.

Wan Kuang's face sank, and he said, "He has arrived."

Wen Baiyu was so frightened that she couldn't move, tightly grasping Wang Ju's hand, when suddenly a human face emerged from the grass.

It's a woman's face, with curved willow-leaf eyebrows, long eyes that are flirtatious, cherry small mouth... revealing sharp teeth.

  "Rustle, rustle, swish, swish, swish..."

As the sound drew near, the woman's body emerged from the bushes, and it turned out to be a snake body as thick as a bowl!

"Wan Baiyu shouted: 'My mother! Bai Suzhen has come out too!'"

After shouting, I felt it was wrong, this is Green Snake, originally White Lady's maid Xiao Qing!

Wan Xi Jing Hou said: "Hold me tight."

Wen Baiyu immediately grabbed Wan Jie Jinghou's hands tightly, and Wan Jie Jinghou suddenly used force.

  "Whoosh!"

Just as the human-faced snake suddenly poked its head out to bite Wen Baiyu, Wan Qi Jinghou quickly pulled Wen Baiyu out. The human-faced snake bit down, but ended up biting a mouthful of mud instead.

Wen Baiyu barely escaped with his life, scrambled up and didn't even notice his body was covered in mud, shouting: "Run quickly!"

They kept running in, and a rustling sound was constantly coming from their backs.

Yu Wei Yang said: "Can't you control that snake? Running like this won't work!"

Tang Zǐ said: "This kind of human-faced snake, once dead, will secrete a large amount of venom. Not only can it bring about the downfall of its prey, but also provoke its companions. Acting rashly would not be advantageous."

"Rustle, rustle, rustle... Rustle, rustle, rustle, rustle..."

  "Shhh, shhh..."

Wen Baiyu felt that the voices behind him were getting louder and more chaotic, as if there were more things chasing after them.

Wen Baiyu turned her head and suddenly felt dizzy, shouting: "Damn it! Look, look! So many snakes, and scorpions!"

Yu Wei Yang turned back to look, the people chasing them from behind had turned into five or six green snakes, and incredibly, there were even giant scorpions with women's faces crawling together.

"What kind of monsters are these!?"

Wan Qi Jing Hou said: "They are some female corpses who died with resentment, their bodies turned into snakes and scorpions due to the accumulation of grievances."

Wen Baiyu ran while thinking, this is also too strange!

He ran and suddenly tripped, with a cry he was about to fall to the ground, when Wan Qi Jing Hou stretched out his hand to grab his waist and pulled him up.

Wen Baiyu lowered her head and took a look, it was actually a shoe!

  Red embroidered shoes...

Those shoes with small feet from ancient times...

Wen Baiyu let out a cry of alarm and said, "This is too frightening."

He said, and then saw Wan Kuang Jing Hou seriously looking at a not-too-distant place in front of him, and he didn't run either.

  "What's wrong?"

Wan Qi Jing Hou said faintly: "Look."

Wen Baiyu looked in the direction that Wan Kuangying pointed, and suddenly her legs went weak, almost kneeling on the ground.

Not far ahead, there was a deep pit with a towering tree growing inside. The branches were lush and dense, with many small white flowers blooming in clusters, resembling cherry blossoms, but the trunk was too thick and didn't look like a cherry blossom tree.

Wen Bai Yu took a closer look and suddenly felt numbness on her scalp and itchiness on her back.

Originally, on this lush/dense big tree, every branch was hanging with numerous corpses!

Moreover, they were all male corpses, and as far as the eye could see, there were too many bodies to count.

Some of the corpses had rotted away, some had turned into white bones, and some were surprisingly still quite fresh. The corpses hung from tree branches, and those beautiful little white flowers that looked so pretty were actually growing out of these corpses...

When they stopped, the people with snake and scorpion faces behind them had caught up, making a "hissing" sound, applying the letter, and rushing towards them.

  "What should I do?"

Wan Xi Jing Hou grasped his hand and said, "Down in the pit."

"Grave?! There are all corpses in that grave!"

He said, and was pulled away by Wan Qi Jing Hou, rushing towards the big tree full of corpses. Wen Bai Yu gritted his teeth and followed Wan Qi Jing Hou in a sprint.

The pit was very deep, but the slopes on both sides were not steep. The four of them ran down along the slope, and the big trees emitted a rotten smell. When the wind blew, white petals fell off, and surprisingly, they emitted a floral fragrance.

Covering mouth and nose with a white handkerchief, I dare not inhale, fearing that there might be something strange in the pollen.

They ran all the way down, and strangely, those human-faced snakes and human-faced turtles watched them jump into the deep pit and stopped chasing them. Instead, they coiled up at the top of the pit, hissing at the bottom, watching them go deeper, and then turned around and left.

  "Really gone?"

Wan Kuang Jing Hou walked around the big tree in a circle and suddenly said: "It's indeed like this."

  "What did you find?"

Wan Xi Jing Hou did not speak immediately, but instead squatted down, seemingly searching for something carefully at the base of the tree. Under the tree, a thick layer of white small flowers had accumulated, although these small flowers were very lovely, but thinking about where they came from made Wen Bai Yu feel a chill run down his spine, and his whole body was covered in goosebumps.

  "What are you looking for?"

Wan Qi Jing Hou stretched out his hand and touched the roots of the tree, saying: "There is a tomb chamber below."

"Wan Baiyu was shocked and said: 'Tomb?' "

He nodded and said, "The snakes and centipedes just now were probably used to drive the prey they had chosen into this place. This tree is actually a conduit that transports the yin energy and corpse energy from the corpses underground to nourish the corpses in the tomb passage."

Wen Baiyu said: "This is also too abnormal!"

Wan Qi Jing Hou stepped on the position of the tree root and said: "This is empty below, digging here can lead to a cave."

He said, putting down his backpack and starting to take out tools. Tang Zi also came over to help, both of their movements were very professional, after digging for a while, they saw light inside.

Yu Wei Yang said in surprise: "Is there light? Isn't it all dark inside the jar?"

Tangzi said: "There should be a long bright lamp below."

They soon dug out a hole, and Wan Xi Jing Hou tied one end of the rope to the tree and the other end to his waist. He then stretched out his hand to hold Wen Bai Yu, with the other hand grasping the rope, and slid down into the hole.

They suddenly entered a cave, which was a tunnel, very deep and extremely eerie. The two sides of the tunnel were lined with countless long lanterns, and on the stone walls of the tunnel, many red silk fabrics were hung, just like decorating a bridal chamber!

Because of the long years, these red silks have aged, some have become brittle and fragmented, some have faded, but still give people a strange feeling.

Wen Baiyu said: "This tomb owner is quite unique."

Tang Zihao and Yu Wei Yang also came down from the cave entrance. The four of them walked forward, not far away, they entered the first stone chamber, a rectangular stone chamber that looked like a storage room.

Inside, there were various red lacquer boxes stacked up. The vermilion lacquer on the boxes was applied with great care, seemingly in eighteen layers, making them not only shiny but also having a rich and heavy color. On the red lacquer boxes, auspicious patterns of dragons and phoenixes were painted, obviously used for weddings.

One by one, the trunks were tied together with carrying poles and neatly arranged in the corner of the stone room. Counting them, there were over twenty boxes. Next to them were stacked many utensils, which looked very valuable and should be dowry items.

Wen Baiyu said: "Looks like you're really rich."

Wen Baiyu was curious about what jewelry was inside the red lacquer box, but in order to avoid seeking death, he still didn't go and look.

They passed through the stone room and walked further in, and there was another stone room, symmetrical to the previous one. This time, however, there were no more jewels inside, but rather piles of... corpses scattered all over the place.

They were all female corpses, and surprisingly, these corpses did not rot. Each one was dressed in a large red wedding dress, overlapping each other as they lay on the ground.

They are just like what the villagers said, wearing gold and silver ornaments, most importantly, they all don't have heads!

Wen Baiyu let out a startled "ah" and took a step back, saying: "This is terrible! So many corpses! And they've all been beheaded!"

As he spoke, he suddenly heard a "kua" sound and became tense, looking around. In the stone room, apart from the corpses of these women in front of him, there was nothing else strange.

That faint sound seemed like an auditory hallucination.

Wen Baiyu pointed to the jars placed at the edge of the corner, which didn't seem to be anything valuable, just some rough ceramic jars without glaze or any decorative patterns, and their shapes were also quite ugly, with big bellies and wide mouths.

Wen Baiyu said: "What are these jars for?"

Tang Ziy shook his head and said: "I've never seen this kind of burial method before either."

Yu Wei Yang felt the chill of the corpses and subconsciously rubbed his arms, saying: "Is the tomb owner deeply resentful towards these people? But why cut off their heads, and these corpses are not arranged neatly, just piled up randomly."

"But they're all dressed up and wearing nice things."

They said, looking at Wan Qi Jing Hou who was frowning and staring at several ceramic jars in the corner. Wen Bai Yu looked at his face and said: "What's wrong? Is there a problem with these jars?"

Wan Qi Jing Hou merely furrowed his brow and said: "The size and quantity of these jars are problematic."

He said that, Wen Baiyu reacted quickly, suddenly "ah" and said: "And... the number of corpses is the same, this... this size, what's inside won't be heads, right?!"

As soon as he finished speaking, a loud "crack" was heard.

Wen Baiyu jumped down, this time he absolutely didn't mishear, only to see the ceramic vase in the corner of the wall suddenly move a little, "bang" fell to the ground, and then started rolling with a "gala" sound.

Wen Baiyu was startled and retreated several steps, vaguely looking into the jar from a distance. Inside, it was dark and there was a black thing, but she didn't know what it was.

  "Be careful!"

Yu Wei Yang shouted loudly, and at the same time, the black thing in the jar rushed out, "Whoosh!" It wrapped around Wen Bai Yu's hands.

Wen Baiyu lowered her head and took a look, it was actually hair!

Black long hair stretched out from the mouth of the jar, wrapped around its own wrists, getting tighter and tighter.

Wen Baiyu let out a loud "ah" and Wan Jinhou reacted quickly, chopping off the hair that had wrapped around Wen Baiyu's head with a swift motion.

  "Kala la......"

  "Kala..."

  "Ah, ah la......"

The jars standing in the corner of the wall suddenly all moved, rolling on the ground, just like bowling balls, rumbling over.

  "Whoosh...whoosh...whoosh..."

For a moment it was all wind, countless black hairs stretched out from inside, like antennae, to grab them.

Wen Baiyu turned around and ran while shouting: "Why only catch me and Tangzi?!"

He shouted and remembered what Wan Qi Jing Hou said before, these dumplings seem to only grab people with sufficient yang energy. It seems that this is indeed the case, as a normal person, he has enough yang energy, Tang Zi is also very strong in yang energy.

And Yu Wei Yang's body was filled with yin energy and corpse energy, let alone Wan Qi Jing Hou, who was mysterious and cold as ice.

Wan Kuang Jing Hou was behind Wen Bai Yu, his reaction was quick, and his hand movements were accurate. Every time the black hair was about to entangle Wen Bai Yu, he would cut it off with one swift motion.

Wen Baiyu ran while suddenly shouting, "I know! I know! Among us, only Tangzi and I are men! So these zongzi will only catch us!"

  Yu Wei Yang: "......"

  Wan Xi Jing Hou: "......"

They ran out of the stone room, and the jars behind them were still rolling with a gurgling sound. It seemed that because they couldn't see the road inside the jar, they wouldn't turn corners, and with a "bang" they crashed into the stone wall, instantly shattering the ceramic jars.

Wen Baiyu was thrilled, and these zongzi heads "killed" themselves! As a result, I saw the jar shattered, and from inside, one by one, women's heads cracked out.

These women had their hair down, long black hair covering their faces, shook off the jar and started rolling wildly on the ground, continuing to stretch out their hair to grab them.

Wen Baiyu turned his head to take a look, and when the black hair rolled out, those women's faces were exposed. He suddenly let out a loud cry of "Oh no!" and said: "These... these zongzi are all disfigured!"

Yu Wei Yang couldn't help but turn his head back to take a look, and indeed it was true. The faces of these women were covered with scars of various sizes, which looked like they were cut by knives, and there were also marks left by branding irons.

Wen Baiyu ran and saw a tomb with an open door in front of her. She said, "There's a door! Quick, go inside and close the door!"

He was the first to rush into the tomb, and the other three also rushed in. Wan Qi Jinghou walked at the end, and as soon as he entered, the black hair of the zongzi suddenly wrapped around, wrapping itself around Wan Qi Jinghou's wrist.

Wen Baiyu didn't think much, reached into his pocket and grabbed something, rushed over and cut it on his hair, then stretched out his hand to grab Wang Ju Jing Hou, pulled him into the tomb, shouting: "Close the door quickly!"

Four people joined forces to push the tomb door, which was extremely heavy. Black hair kept getting tangled in it as they hacked at it and pushed the door shut.

With a loud "boom", the tomb door finally closed.

Wen Baiyu lowered her head and saw that the ground was also covered with a pile of black hair, cut into short segments, just like in a barber shop after a haircut.

Wen Baiyu let out a sigh of relief and sat down on the ground, saying: "It's finally over."

Tang Zi lowered his head and looked at him, saying: "What is it that you are holding in your hand?"

Wen Bai's head hung low, looking at her own hand, which was the thing she had hastily pulled out of her pocket earlier to cut her hair, and it turned out to be a slender and long dagger.

It was brought out from the underwater tomb in Chengdu.

Wen Baiyu picked it up and took a look. The long, narrow blade didn't seem to be made of metal, but it emitted a bright luster, sharp yet not brittle.

Wen Baiyu said: "Wan Kui Jinghou said this is a phoenix bone."

Tang Zixian was astonished and then sighed: "Indeed, it's a phoenix bone. This is the wing bone that Hong Yu picked up back then."

Yu Wei Yang also curiously came over to take a look, and even reached out to touch it, saying: "Is this a dagger? A dagger made of bone, is it hard enough?"

Tang Zǐ smiled and said: "Hardness is secondary, the Feng Gu bone has a spiritual quality, it's said to be able to summon heavenly soldiers, but this also has the color of ancient myths."

They were talking when suddenly Wan Gui Jing Hou said: "Look."

Wen Baiyu was startled by his words and looked up to see that the tomb chamber was hung with countless mirrors, and the walls were covered with large and small copper mirrors.

Wen Baiyu said: "These won't be mirrors again, will they?"

Wan Xi Jing Hou shook his head and said: "It should just be an ordinary copper mirror."

Wen Baiyu stood up, patted the dirt off his body, and looked at his clothes in dismay. They were absolutely filthy, covered in mud and dust, with not a single clean spot to be seen.

The tomb chamber is connected with two ear chambers, one on each side, also a symmetrical design. All the stone chambers are rectangular and very square.

Inside the tomb, there was only a mirror. They first entered the left ear chamber. Inside the left ear chamber, a coffin that looked very expensive was placed, with a huge stone on top of it.

Wen Baiyu said in surprise: "What's the use of such a big stone? Are you afraid that the zongzi inside will run out?"

Wan Xi Jing Hou shook his head, seemingly having never seen such a thing either.

Inside the ear chamber, there is only one coffin, nothing else, bare and empty. The walls around are carved with murals, but they are all heart-wrenching and lung-piercing scenes, like a curse from hell, looking very frightening.

Wen Baiyu curiously said: "How can someone put a coffin in the ear room?"

Wan Qi Jing Hou said: "It is a kind of burial, and there should be another coffin in the ear chamber on the opposite side."

Tangzi pointed at the mural and said: "It seems that the tomb owner didn't like this person, or he wouldn't have let him be buried together."

He said that, and was about to move the giant stone. Wen Baiyu stopped him, saying: "Don't move it, don't move it! Are you going to open the coffin?"

  "Of course."

Yu Wei Yang also said: "Don't open it, what if the zongzi inside comes back to life?"

Tangzi said, "But this tomb is sealed off, with only two ear chambers. We have no way to go, and outside are all coffins. Let's open one up and take a look. Maybe we can still find a way out."

Wen Baiyu felt there was some truth to this, as he had indeed seen tomb passages under coffins before.

Wan Qi Jing Hou also nodded, and the two of them joined forces to move the stone from the coffin. "Boom!" The stone slammed onto the ground, making a very heavy sound.

The lid of the coffin was nailed with long nails, looking very solid. Wan Qi Jing Hou and Tang Zi took tools to slowly pry open the nails.

All the nails were pried open, but the coffin lid still couldn't be opened. Wan Zhi Jing Hou looked at it for a while and said, "There are still card heads and hooks inside."

He said, letting Tangzi pry the coffin lid open a bit, then took out a hook from his backpack and inserted it inside, seemingly searching for something. Suddenly, there was a "click" sound, and the coffin lid lost its tension, being pried open by Tangzi.

As the lid was fully opened, Wen Baiyu cautiously took a peek inside and found that it was actually a man lying there!

This is too inconceivable, the entire tomb except for the female ghost and female zongzi are all women's heads, the monsters outside are also snakes with women's faces and scorpions with women's faces, yet there lies a man here!

The man's body was also well-preserved, lying in the coffin, he was actually wearing a red groom suit, but the clothes were all bloody, and over time, the bloodstains had turned black.

The man's face was a complex network of scars, and he should have been handsome, but now no matter how you looked at him, he couldn't look good. His chest had a large dent in it.

"Wen Baiyu said: 'How strange is his body?'"

Wan Kui Jinghou inserted the probe and lifted the man's clothes to take a look, saying: "His internal organs have been dug out."

Wen Baiyu swallowed a mouthful of saliva and said, "This guy is really pitiful, his corpse was destroyed to such an extent? Did he have enemies?"

Wan Qi Jing Hou used the probe to turn the man's body over, looked at the bottom of the coffin, and tapped it, saying: "There is no way out, it is solid."

Wen Baiyu felt a bit disappointed and said: "Then close it quickly, this is too terrible, what if we all become corpses?"

Tang Zi said: "It's already been destroyed to this extent, if he can still revive it, I'd be quite impressed."

  "What's wrong?"

Wan Kuang Jing Hou said faintly: "Though my body is broken, my will remains unshaken."

  Wen Baiyu: "......"

He found that Wan Kuang Jing Hou was getting more and more fond of telling cold jokes, and always in such a strange situation, he would tell some dark and chilling jokes with an unchanged face!

Wen Baiyu fell into deep contemplation, in fact, Wan Kui Jinghou's character was not good at all. He was cold and gloomy, sometimes with a particularly wicked heart, enjoying teasing others, and this "others" specifically referred to Wen Baiyu alone.

Moreover, he is a useless person who can't even fart after being beaten three times. He often likes to take action against Wen Baiyu, and his background is unknown, he is a black household register, a single man with no relatives at all, which is extremely suspicious.

If there's one good thing about Wan Qi Jing Hou, it's that he's handsome and especially charming.

  Wen Baiyu: "......"

Wen Baiyu thought to himself, with only this one advantage, he was actually able to turn himself, a straight man, crooked. Was he really that shallow?!

The white-robed, dejected and dispirited, followed General Wan Xi Jing to the opposite ear chamber.

The opposite ear chamber is indeed symmetrical, and the walls are also carved with various hollowed-out lungs diagrams, such as going up a knife mountain and down an oil pot, which are always disgusting, terrifying, and have.

A coffin was also placed there, and a stone was pressed on top of the coffin.

Wan Qi Jing Hou and Tang Zi moved the stone away, just like before, then opened the coffin. As soon as they opened it, a woman was lying inside.

A woman with eyes wide open, she lay in the coffin, her eyeballs almost bursting out, staring upwards. Wen Baiyu poked his head in and nearly got scared to death, thinking the woman was staring at him!

This time, she wasn't wearing a phoenix coronet and a skirt with a decorative belt. She looked like a maid from ancient times. The woman looked particularly miserable. Her face was also scratched up, not a single piece of good skin left, even her lips were chopped to pieces. The exposed backs of her hands were all scratched too, and there were centipedes and scorpions in the coffin!

  "Rustle, rustle, rustle......"

These insects kept crawling and gnawing on the corpse, a patch of white bone was exposed on the woman's face, apparently gnawed by the insects.

Moreover, there were five large nails stuck in the female corpse's body, with very thick nails nailed to the positions of her limbs and heart.

Wen Baiyu's gaze was met with a chill, and Yu Yang could feel an extremely gloomy aura rushing over, causing him to involuntarily shrink back. Tang Zi quickly reached out to hug Yu Yang, saying: "Boss Yu can't take it, I'll take him outside to wait first."

Wan Kuang Jing Hou nodded, and Tang Zi took Yu Wei Yang away.

Only Wen Baiyu and Wan Kuangjinghou were left in the room.

  "This woman died too horribly!"

He said, "Although there are injuries on her face, they are not fatal. Judging from the bloodstains on her clothes, this woman should have been placed in a coffin, nailed down at all four limbs, and then bitten to death by insects before being nailed through the heart."

Wen Baiyu rubbed her arm and said: "This is too disgusting, what deep hatred is this?"

Wan Xi Jing Hou shook his head and said, "The female corpse's body has a lot of yin energy."

"Wen Baiyu said: 'Will there be a tomb passage below her?'"

Wan Qi Jing Hou said: "I'll take a look."

He said, using a probe to hook the female corpse's body, turning it over to look, but this female corpse was different from the male corpse just now. The male corpse was scary, but it wasn't nailed in the coffin, and it moved with one flip. This female corpse was nailed very firmly.

When Wan Jie Jing Hou turned over the corpse, he heard Wen Bai Yu's loud cry of "Ah", grabbed Wan Jie Jing Hou's arm and pointed at the corpse saying: "Wan, Wan Jie Jing Hou, it moved!"

Wan Qi Jing Hou said faintly: "I've been moving all along."

Wen Baiyu rolled her eyes and hit him, saying: "I'm telling the truth!"

As soon as he finished speaking, a rustling sound was heard, and the insects that were originally gnawing on the corpse suddenly dispersed, retreating from the body as if fleeing for their lives.

"Look! The female corpse really moved!"

He said that the female corpse was indeed trembling, but because her hands and feet were nailed to the coffin, only her belly was shaking constantly.

The female corpse stared with her eyes wide open, her belly shaking non-stop, and Wen Baiyu's hands and feet felt icy cold, as if the female corpse would sit up at any moment.

"Is... is it going to be a zombie resurrection?"

Wan Qi Jing Hou frowned and said: "She has something in her belly."

Wen Baiyu just wanted to ask, what is it?

At this moment, with a "plop", the female corpse's belly was suddenly cut open, and countless insects poured out, followed by a hand stretching out.

  "Ah!"

Wen Baiyu immediately let out a loud shout, and Wan Xizonghou stretched out his hand to block him from behind.

Then a pale arm stretched out from the woman's corpse's belly, followed by her head...

Miraculously, a baby crawled out of the dead woman's belly.

  "Ghost fetus, leave quickly."

Wen Baiyu had been wanting to run away for a long time, and immediately rushed out of the door. Tangzi and Yu Wei Yang outside saw him running out desperately, and just as Yu Wei Yang was about to ask what was wrong, he heard a loud "waaah" - it sounded like both wailing and a child's shriek.

Then, Wan Qi Jing Hou retreated from the coffin, and a pale baby crawled out of it. His body was crawling with many insects, looking very frightening.

Wen Baiyu said: "Belly... belly... came out of the female corpse's belly!"

Tang Zi said: "It's actually a ghost fetus."

The baby crawled slowly, and as he backed away, Wen Baiyu asked, "What is a ghost fetus?"

Wan Qi Jing Hou said: "The fetus that the female corpse had before she died, after death absorbed the yin energy of the female corpse, slowly grew and transformed into a zongzi."

Wen Baiyu said in a low voice: "Is it very fierce?"

Tangzi laughed and said: "Zongzi is actually not more powerful as it gets older, the small zongzi is the most powerful."

Wen Baiyu quickly retreated to the side of the tomb gate and said, "What to do? I don't know if those female corpses' heads have gone or not, we're being attacked from both front and back now."

He said, suddenly seeing that Wan Jie Jing Hou was motionless, staring ahead, and couldn't help but pull Wan Jie Jing Hou, saying: "Xiao Zongzi is coming, what are you spacing out for!"

Wan Qi Jing Hou said: "That mirror is very strange."

He said, suddenly walking forward, Xiao Zongzi saw Wan Qi Jinghou coming over, a pale face with a hint of eerie smile, mouth "gagging" with laughter, then suddenly pounced over.

  "Ten thousand..."

Wen Baiyu hadn't finished shouting when Wan Jie Jinghou's hands moved extremely quickly, and then a sharp cry of "Ah——" was heard. Xiao Zongzi suddenly rolled onto the ground, seemingly having been slashed by Wan Jie Jinghou. He lay on the ground, vigilantly staring at Wan Jie Jinghou.

Wan Qi Jing Hou walked past from the side, arrived at the middle position of the tomb chamber, frowned and stared at the copper mirror on the wall, then suddenly stretched out his hand and pressed it on the copper mirror.

The copper mirror was actually a loose mechanism, and with one press, it sank in. Suddenly, there was a loud rumble, and on the flat floor, a hidden door appeared. Under the hidden door, there were stone steps, layer upon layer leading down to who-knows-where.

Wen Baiyu said: "Is there a way?!"

Tangzi grabbed Ruyu Yang and said, "Boss Yu, let's go quickly."

They rushed towards the stone steps, and Xiao Zongzi suddenly shouted loudly from behind, pouncing on Yuwang Yang's back. Tang Zi dodged and immediately changed color, his eyes suddenly turned blood red, his fingernails instantly grew longer, like eagle claws with long hooks, and with a swoop, he flung Xiao Zongzi flying out.

Yu Wei Yang heard a noise and turned around, by the time he did, Tang Zi's hand had returned to normal, except for some bloodstains on his fingertips.

Yu Wei Yang was shocked and grabbed Tang Zong's hand, saying: "Are you hurt?!"

Tangzi hastily laughed and said: "No, it's not my blood, let's go quickly."

They said, and walked into the tomb one by one. The little dumpling was injured twice in a row, with some worries, lingering at the edge of the tomb for a long time, and didn't dare to go down.

They walked into the tomb passage, down the steps, and the red silk was still hanging on both sides of the corridor. The further they went, the more exquisite the tomb passage became.

The path leads straight ahead, in front of a large tomb gate. What's strange is that the tomb gate was open, and there were even signs of forced entry on the door.

Wan Qi Jing Hou stretched out his hand and touched the mark, saying: "Someone has been here."

Wen Baiyu was startled and said: "Zongzi?"

Wan Qi Jing Hou shook his head and said: "It's not zongzi, it's a overturned Dou."

He finished speaking and walked in, with Wen Baiyu following closely behind. Suddenly, he understood what Wan Qi Jing Hou had said - this must be the main tomb chamber. The inside of the tomb chamber was very messy, judging from the intricate carvings on the tomb passage, there should be many valuable burial objects inside, but not a single valuable item could be seen in this tomb chamber.

It should have been swept clean already.

The design of the tomb is surprisingly a wedding hall, with red silk hanging all around, and dragon and phoenix candles placed on the offering table behind the coffin, the candle flames are still burning, but one has already fallen on the table.

The only thing in this tomb that has not been turned over is probably the coffin, and it's still intact.

Wen Baiyu walked over to take a look, and there were also signs of prying on the coffin, but it was clear that it had not been pried open. It's estimated that the grave robbers couldn't open it, so they gave up.

Wen Baiyu looked around and said: "Huh, what is this?"

Wen Baiyu pointed at a hole on the ground.

Wan Qi Jinghou walked over and took a look, saying: "It's a thief cave."

Wen Baiyu said in surprise: "Those grave robbers directly blasted their way into the main chamber?"

Yu Wei Yang said: "There is an inscription on the coffin board."

Wen Baiyu walked over to take a look, this time it wasn't seal script, just traditional characters, Wen Baiyu could make out the general idea.

Wen Baiyu said proudly: "This time I understand!"

It was originally a bright tomb. The owner of the tomb was born in a wealthy family, and she was the only bloodline in the family, but unfortunately, she was just a daughter, so she wanted to recruit sons-in-law by building a mountain.

A woman praying for good fortune in a temple met a scholar who was elegant in writing, handsome in appearance and interesting in conversation. As a result, the woman couldn't help but think of this scholar all the time.

The woman heard that the book was born, originally a poor boy, seemed to have a good literary talent, but had no money to take part in the imperial examination, and was still a white ding.

The woman's family had the most money, and it didn't matter if the young man was poor. So the woman thought of taking this scholar as her son-in-law. The woman was afraid of losing face, so she let her maid take a token gift to find this scholar and ask him if he was willing or not.

The maid went several times, and the scholar initially said no way. After all, he was a seven-foot-tall man, how could he be married into the mansion? This is too humiliating, even after death, he couldn't face his ancestors. However, later the scholar was moved by this woman and agreed to the marriage.

The girl was overjoyed, and the wedding preparations were very grand, with everyone in the city knowing about it.

But on the eve of the wedding, the woman discovered that the scholar and her own maid were having an affair, and the two were secretly plotting to poison her after the marriage so that the scholar could inherit all her property.

The maid said that the young lady is very cruel to the servants, relying on her wealth, she is arrogant and domineering, often beating and scolding the servants. When they get their inheritance, they will also disfigure the face of the flower girl, making her die in unrest.

The woman was furious, and had the scholar and the maid seized and beaten. At this moment, the maid suddenly fainted, and the doctor said that the maid was pregnant, which could only be the scholar's doing.

The girl was so angry that she fell ill, and at this time a mysterious Taoist appeared. The Taoist told the young lady that if she killed the scholar and the maid, they could still meet in the underworld, wouldn't that fulfill their love?

The Taoist suggested to the young lady that she build a tomb, and according to his method, bury Shu Sheng and Ya Tou in it. In this way, even if these two people were dead, they would not be at peace.

Wen Baiyu shuddered and said: "What kind of idea is this?"

Wen Baiyu continued to look down and said that someone had come up with an idea, but there was a condition, which was that the woman would have to bury something at the same time, under the coffin board of the main coffin.

Wan Xi Jing Hou was silent for a moment before saying, "This woman has obviously been deceived."

Wen Baiyu said: "How was I deceived?"

Wan Qi Jing Hou said: "This tomb has a corpse tree, constantly providing nutrients and yin energy, and there are many female corpses buried with it. All the signs indicate that the tomb owner is raising corpses, but the tomb owner recorded above is just to prevent scholars and maids from dying easily, which shows that she doesn't understand the principles of this underground tomb at all."

Wen Baiyu curiously said: "That thing that was placed at the bottom of the coffin, what exactly is it? There's no record of this either."

Wan Xi Jing Hou said: "Perhaps even the tomb owner himself does not know."

Tangzi said: "Open it and take a look, then you'll know."

The coffin was tightly sealed, but this did not deter Wan Qi Jing Hou and Tang Zi. The two of them opened the coffin lid, and inside lay a woman's corpse.

The woman was also wearing a bright red wedding dress, looking as if she had just been born. At first glance, she was a beautiful girl, but her face was somewhat thin and pale. It's no wonder, being born into a wealthy family that could rival a country, and being an only child, she must have been spoiled rotten.

The woman wore a phoenix coronet on her head, adorned with gold and silver jewels, dressed in festive attire, trimmed with golden and silver threads, the coffin was filled with treasures to be buried with her.

Wen Baiyu and others were all stunned, only feeling that in the instant when the coffin lid was opened, their eyes were almost blinded by the glare.

Wen Baiyu clicked her tongue and said: "This girl is a standard beauty, has the bookworm gone blind?"

Wan Qi Jing Hou raised an eyebrow and chuckled, and Wen Bai Yu immediately coughed twice, changing the subject, saying: "Ah... what was that, her throat is bulging, like it has an Adam's apple?"

Wan Xi Jing Hou stretched out his hand and touched her throat, then slid down along the armpit.

Wen Baiyu glared at him with wide eyes, pulling on his hand and saying: "What are you doing? You're so shameless, not even sparing a corpse!"

Yu Wei Yang let out a loud "haha" and burst into laughter.

Wan Xi Jing Hou said calmly, "She has a pearl in her throat, which should be an anti-corrosion device. There is a mechanism in her abdomen, a square box, I don't know if it's a bomb or not. If we move her body carelessly or take out the anti-corrosion pearl from her throat, the square box in her abdomen may trigger the mechanism."

"What can we do?" said Wen Baiyu.

Wan Xi Jing Hou thought for a moment, then said: "It shouldn't be explosives, after all, the thing the Taoist wants to keep is under the corpse's body. If it were explosives, they would recklessly destroy this thing."

He said, stretching out his hand to let Wen Baiyu stand behind him, and Tangzi also let Yu Wenyang stand a little further away.

Wan Kui Jing Hou supported the back of the girl's neck and lifted her up.

  "Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"

The female corpse's body arched, immediately triggering the mechanism in her belly. Three crossbow bolts flew out of the female corpse's belly and nailed themselves into the wall opposite.

Wen Baiyu patted his chest and said, "Luckily, luckily."

Wan Xi Jing Hou said: "It's okay now."

He finished speaking, stretched out his hand to support the female corpse, and Wen Baiyu also came over to help, saying: "I'll help you."

As soon as Wen Baiyu finished speaking, the female corpse's throat moved, and the anti-corrosion bead inside actually slid down her throat.

Wan Kuang's face changed, and he suddenly reached out to grab the female corpse's neck.

Wen Baiyu was startled and said: "Ri...risen from the dead?!"

Wan Xi Jing Hou shook his head, but still maintained the motion of pinching the female corpse's neck, saying: "It turns out that this pearl is a bottle stopper."

  "Stopper?"

Wan Qi Jing Hou did not immediately explain, but instead said to Tang Zi: "Come and give me a hand."

Wen Baiyu honestly retreated to one side.

Wan Xi Jing Hou still held the female corpse's neck, just right to hold that anti-corrosion bead, so the bead wouldn't go down her throat.

Two men lifted the female corpse out of the coffin and turned it upside down on the ground. Suddenly, Wan Zongjinghou loosened his grip, and a "hiss" sound was heard, followed by a foul odor slowly spreading out.

Wen Baiyu looked at the head, and a green liquid flowed out of the female corpse's mouth, spraying onto the ground. The ground immediately burned with two large holes!

Wen Baiyu's eyes widened and she exclaimed: "My goodness, what did she eat before she died? The stuff in her stomach could burn a hole through the ground!"

Wan Kuang Jing Hou smiled and said, "This is a poisonous liquid poured into the corpse to prevent decay and theft. If someone moves the corpse carelessly, the poisonous liquid will spurt out of the corpse's mouth. In the late Jin Dynasty, there was a tomb raider named Zhu Shi Lian, also known as Zhu Shi Face, because when he stole from Zhao Zu Mountain Mausoleum, he wanted to take off the jade belt on Zhao Kuang Yin's waist and was splashed with poisonous liquid from the corpse's mouth, scorching his face into scars.

Wen Baiyu nodded and said, "The body has been moved away, so we should be able to see what's inside now?"

He said, looking into the coffin, there was no lining inside, only a very thin box, which was just one circle smaller than the coffin, quietly placed inside the coffin, with a burning flame painted on it.

Wen Baiyu widened her eyes and said: "This... is this symbol again? It seems that the Daoist/Person is also an evil/cult/organization."

He said, reaching in, the box's lock was open, hanging loosely on top, because it was too old, and it shattered with a touch, falling to one side.

Wen Baiyu opened the box, and immediately a "puff" sound was heard, not that it didn't work, but rather a burst of air came out.

Wen Bai covered her nose with her sleeve and retreated several steps, saying: "What is that thing? It smells so foul!"

Yu Wei Yang suddenly felt a chill and said: "What is this place after all? It's so cool?"

He finished speaking and saw that because of Wen Baiyu's loosening grip, the already closed box suddenly started shaking.

Tangzi said: "Be careful, don't lean forward."

Yu Wei Yang quickly shrunk back.

The box in the coffin was shaking violently, as if something was about to burst out from inside.

When Wen Baiyu opened it, he only saw a puff of air with a fishy smell and couldn't see what it was at all.

  "Bang!"

Wan Xi Jing Hou grabbed Wen Bai Yu and took two steps back, holding Wen Bai Yu in his arms. Suddenly, something burst out of the coffin, like a thin piece of paper but not actually paper, with great elasticity.

That thing was light yellow in color, with a flame emblem on it. Wen Baiyu could only catch a glimpse of it before it inflated like a balloon and suddenly shot off like a grave robber.

Wan Kuang Jing Hou shouted, "Pursue."

Then let go of Wen Baiyu, and Tangzi chased out together. Wen Baiyu and Yu Wangyang looked at each other, neither knowing what had happened, and also followed them running outside.

Wan Kuang and Tang Zirun ran very fast, the two of them chasing behind. Wen Baiyu said: "This grave path... how did it seem to narrow down compared to when we came?"

Yu Wei Yang also thinks so, and it's getting narrower and narrower. When they came down, three people could walk side by side.

Just as the space in front of them was no longer big enough for one person, Wan Qi Jing Hou and Tang Zi turned back and returned. They seized Wen Bai Yu and Yu Wei Yang, and ran towards the tomb chamber again.

"What's going on? You're back again!?"

Wan Qi Jing Hou said: "The tomb passage has been blocked."

Tangzi said: "If we don't run away now, we'll be crushed into pancakes."

Wen Baiyu finally woke up to the realization that it wasn't just her own illusion, the walls on both sides of the tomb passage were actually getting narrower and narrower, as if they wanted to squeeze them to death here.

Wen Baiyu was lucky that she wasn't fat, the four of them rushed into the tomb chamber, and at the last moment of rushing in, Wen Baiyu felt that the stone wall was pinching her shoulders painfully, but she managed to squeeze in with great effort.

As they entered the tomb chamber for a moment, "Bang!" The stone walls on both sides finally closed together, and the tomb chamber became a rectangular sealed tomb.

  Wen Baiyu: "......"

Wen Baiyu no longer knows what's going on now.

Wan Kuang Jing Hou said: "The thing that just floated out is a human skin."

Wen Baiyu's eyes widened in shock and he exclaimed: "Human skin!?"

Wan Xi Jing Hou nodded and said: "It should be the skin of Huo Mo. In order to prevent the skin from rotting, it was offered with yin energy."

Wen Baiyu said: "What's to be done now? His skin has run away."

Wan Xi Jing Hou shook his head and didn't say a word.

Yu Wei Yang said: "What we should focus on now is how to get out, the tomb passage is sealed off, and there's only one female corpse in the tomb chamber, this won't do."

Wen Baiyu smiled and then pointed at the base of the wall, saying: "Have you forgotten that there is a thief hole here?"

Yu Wei Yang patted his chest and said: "I was so scared that I had forgotten, fortunately there is still a thief cave, let's get out of here quickly."

Wan Kuang Jing Hou led the way and walked over, drilling into the thief cave, saying: "Follow me closely."

Wen Baiyu and Yu Wei Yang held flashlights to illuminate the way, the cave was very narrow, only one person could crawl in at a time, there was no way to raise their heads, if they raised their heads, they would bump them.

They first climbed upwards, then the upward trend suddenly stopped, and surprisingly started going downhill.

Wen Baiyu said: "What's going on with this cave, it's making such a big turn? How can he get out if he digs down?"

Wan Qi Jing Hou crouched down, raised his head to look up, stretched out his hand to touch the top of the thief hole, and found small holes on it.

Wan Qi Jing Hou frowned and said: "The top is a quicksand layer, it's anti-thief, these grave robbers are very clever and professional, once the quicksand layer is broken, the quicksand will rush down, this narrow tunnel, absolutely buried alive, no chance of escape."

Wen Baiyu shuddered and Wan Jinhou began to crawl forward slowly again, with everyone following behind.

The sand layer was very long, and the thief cave went down all the way. The thief cave was very long and narrow, and Wen Baiyu crouched low and crawled for a very long time, feeling his neck ache. Suddenly, the person in front stopped.

A soft "thud" sound, Wen Baiyu bumped into Wan Jingshou's back.

"What's wrong? What did you find?"

Only then did General Wan see the scene and stretched out his hand to touch the walls of the cave, saying: "This is five-colored soil."

Wen Baiyu said: "I've only heard of five-flower pork."

Tang Zi said: "Wuhua Tu is a sign of discovering tombs."

Wen Baiyu said strangely: "Wait... did you find a tomb marker?"

Tang Tzu explained: "Because when digging a pit, various different colored earth and raw soil will be dug out. After burial, these soils are mixed and filled back in, forming the five-colored soil. This soil, because it has been mixed and re-filled twice, has clear boundaries, even after many years. Generally, where people find the five-colored soil, there is usually a tomb below."

Wen Baiyu found it even stranger and said, "Although the tunnel was heading upwards at first, it soon turned downwards. And after climbing for so long, it's clear that the downward distance has already exceeded the main tomb chamber we saw earlier. Could there be another chamber down here?"

They said, and Wan Qi Jing Hou stopped again, saying: "It shouldn't be the same tomb."

He said, Wen Baiyu leaned over to take a look and found that the tunnel had reached its end. In front of him was a tomb wall, which was built with square giant stones, looking very solid and more magnificent than ordinary diamond walls.

In the middle of the tomb wall was an opening just large enough for a person to crawl through.

Wan Kuang Jing Hou was the first to drill in, and Wen Bai Yu followed suit. After entering, it was a long tomb passage.

Wan Qi Jing Hou looked around and said: "The one just now was a typical Ming tomb, but this tomb looks like it's much earlier than the Ming Dynasty."

Wen Baiyu said in surprise: "There's another grave under the tomb? This grave is dug too deep!"

Yu Wei Yang said: "The depth of this tomb has already exceeded the river water next to it, why did the tomb owner choose such a deep distance, isn't he afraid that the river water will flow in and flood the tomb?"

They kept walking in, the tomb passage was very high and magnificent, with large stones piled up to form the tomb passage. The top of the tomb passage was round and the bottom was square. There were patterns carved on the top, which were sun, moon, stars and city, and there were also patterns on the stone slab under their feet, which were mountains, rivers and streams.

The path continued forward for a long time, then turned at a right angle, suddenly turning left again, and continuing to turn left.

Wen Baiyu curiously said: "Always turning left, it's like a maze, are we actually just going around in circles?"

Yu Wenyang said: "This is simple, just make a mark on the wall."

He said, wanting to take something out of his backpack, when he heard a "clank" at his feet. He looked down and found it was a probe rod.

Yu Wei furrowed his brow and said: "It must have been left behind by those grave-robbing thieves who dug the tunnel."

Tang Zi squatted down and said, "Looking at this probe rod, it's also been used for many years. It seems to have been used more than 20 years ago."

They made marks on the wall and continued to move forward, the tomb passage was very regular, always turning left, all were right angles, but they never saw the marks on the wall, if it wasn't a ghost hitting the wall, then they must not have been walking in circles.

Wan Xi Jing Hou said: "It should be the 'Hui' character maze, I've only heard of it, but haven't seen it before."

They kept walking forward, getting more and more nauseous, and didn't know how many turns they had taken, when suddenly a bright light appeared in front of them.

Wen Baiyu's eyes lit up, and she shone her flashlight over. In front of her, the path finally stopped turning and a huge stone gate appeared. The stone gate was at least five meters high and tightly closed. On the center of the gate, a phoenix with its head held high and wings spread wide was carved.

The phoenix's six tails stretch out, its wings spread wide, its head raised as if about to take off into the sky, a pair of fiery eyes inlaid with huge red gemstones, standing on a branch, as if it is going to soar into the heavens at any moment.

Wen Baiyu said: "It's a phoenix!"

They walked past, on both sides of the stone gate were two stone lanterns, constantly burning flames, the jumping flames reflected in the phoenix's fiery eyes, the color of rubies was bright and dripping, the eyes shone brightly, the phoenix seemed to come alive!

Yu Wei Yang Xing / Fen said: "Is it a phoenix? Could it be the tomb of King Xiang?"

Tang Zi couldn't help but smile at his excited appearance. He naturally knew that Yu Lao Ban had always wanted to find the Xiang Wang Tomb, wanting to extend his own life. It was already autumn, and in a few months, he would have to bid farewell to Yu Lao Ban. This was the fate of the tomb, thirty years without any attachment, yet now he felt somewhat reluctant to part with it.

Wen Baiyu said: "Such a large stone gate, the middle is so tightly closed, without any gaps, I don't know if there are self-moving stones behind it, how can we open it?"

He said, and turned his head to look at Wan Gui Jing Hou.

Wan Kui Jing Hou, on the other hand, was looking up at the stone gate with a very focused gaze. He narrowed his eyes, as if thinking about something, as if digging up a distant memory.

"What's wrong? What did you find?"

Wan Qi Jing Hou looked for a long time again, his eyes scanning the phoenix on the stone gate for a very long time, Wen Bai Yu still thought he was distracted.

Wan Xi Jing Hou suddenly spoke up, his voice faintly saying: "I seem to have seen this before..."

Wen Baiyu said, "I've also seen it myself. This pattern of phoenix has been seen many times."

Wan Xi Jing Hou paused for a moment, then continued: "A very familiar feeling... I seem to have been here before..."
