Ch 5 – Lady Death

"Who are you? What do you want from me?"

A dark, oppressive aura erupted from Seph, filling the room with a sense of palpable dread. The space around him seemed to press uhe weight of his power, log everything in pce. Seph's eyes sharpened into a pierg gre, aood still, waiting for a response. Silence hung heavily in the air, and his patience quickly began to wear thin. Slowly, he raised his hand and curled his fingers into a fist.

The atmosphere trembled in respoo his motion, and faint cracks shimmered across the empty space, threatening to tear reality apart.

"WAIT! Wait! There's o be so hasty!"

A pyful, teasing ugh echoed through the room, and a shimmering portal gradually materialized. Seph lowered his hand, his intense gaze fixed on the opening portal. There was no longer a need for immediate a; the intruders had finally revealed themselves.

From within the swirling vortex, two figures stepped forward, emerging into the room with an air of casual fidence.

Leading the way was a young woman in her mid-twenties with striking ruby eyes and glossy bck hair casg down her back. She had an hss figure atuated by a fitted gsam, her lips curled in a faint, knowing smile. Her every step caused her ample curves to sway, but Seph's attention was quickly drawn to something more ing—a sehat something unusual surrouhis woman.

Following her was aunning figure, this one armor, with long, jet-bck hair and vivid green eyes.

"Who are you two? And what do you want?" Seph's tone was calm, though he seheir strength and was fident he could crush them if need be—after all, he had trained rigorously in that forsaken world with Hel.

The bck-haired beauty in the lead giggled and bowed gracefully. "Greetings~. I am Death. You may call me Mistress Death if you prefer."

"No wonder you have no sense of life about you. You must be a ic being, born from the cept of death," Seph mused aloud, finally gaining some crity.

Death chuckled, nodding in affirmation. "Yes, you're correct."

"So, what does a itity want with me? If it's to recruit me to your cause or some nonsense like that, don't bother. I'm not ied," Seph replied, his words blunt.

"I'm aware, and that's not why I'm here." Death's smile softened as she tinued. "Actually, Lady Hel has tasked me with something quite important."

"Hel?" Seph's expression tightened as anger fred in his eyes. "What are you talking about? And how do you know that name? Speak the truth, or I'll make you wish for death."

Under his intense gaze, both Death and her panio as if they were drowning in a vast, suffog pressure. Swiftly, Death raised her hands in a pg gesture. "W-Wait! Let me expin! Lady Hel is one of the first Primordial Beings ience. She, along with another, created life itself…"

"tinue," Seph anded, his anger easing slightly.

Sensing the tension lift, Death pressed on. "Ordinarily, Lady Hel would be uo reato this world, but with your presence, she has a link to unicate beyond the fines of her realm. A few years ago, she appeared to me and formed a trae whose tents I'm forbidden to disclose. But uhat tract, I'm bound to assist you in achieving any goal you set. Whatever you desire, I'm here to support you fully."

Seph absorbed her words, looking to the ceiling as he processed everything. For two long minutes, sileretched, each sed feeling like ay to the two women. Finally, he sighed and muttered, "She really is infuriating…even gone, she finds a way to haunt me."

Turning his attention back to Death, he spoke, "I don't need anything from you. I have no grand ambitions, no desire for world domination. All I want is a quiet life."

Death nodded. "Uood. Also, she is my servant," she gestured to the woman behind her. "I'm givio you as a gift. She'll obey you unditionally and do whatever you ask."

The woman bowed, her voice respectful yet charming. "Hello, Sir~. My name is He Odinsdottir. I serve Mistress Death."

Seph nodded in polite aowledgment. "Thank you for your offer, but I have no need for a servant. I'm just an ordinary person."

Death's lips twitched with amusement before she ughed softly. "It seems you're unaware of your true strength. You're not only Lady Hel's student; you're her successor, the stro Primordial Being. With the power you hold, if you wished, even I would serve you~"

Keeping He by your side would set my mind at ease," Death added firmly.

Seph sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Listen, I don't need anyone's prote, and I certainly don't need someone following me around in armor."

Death chuckled knowingly. "Easy fix." She g He, who immediately transformed her armor into a casual outfit.

"Is this acceptable?" Death asked pyfully. "Or she could…stay even less clothed, if that's what you prefer~"

"No, this is fine," Seph said, resigning himself to the situation.

Satisfied, Death smiled victoriously. "Then I'll take my leave. If you ever need anything, just call for me, and I'll be there." With a nod, Seph watched as she stepped through a portal, leaving the room.

Turning to He, Seph said, "You don't o follow me. You're free to live as you wish."

"It's what I want," He replied, her voice tinged with uainty. "Mistress Death has anded me, so I will stay with you…and do whatever you ask."

Noting the hint of relu her voice, Seph uood that this arra, as a high-level being, was somewhat humiliating for her.

"Fine. Do as you please," he sighed.

Meanwhile, Death hadn't fully departed and noeared behind Virginia Potts, who was busy cooking for herself and Seph. Amusement glinted in her eyes as she pced a hand on the back of Potts's head.

"As Lady Hel requested, I must ensure he never feels lonely," Death murmured. "Nurture your feelings for him…and serve him well."

Potts's eyes gzed over with a mystical glow as a distant voice echoed in her mind. Death then gnced in the dire of Seph's room, an amused smirk on her face.

"Think of this as my wele gift to you~. Prepare yourself, Sir Seph—other celestial beings will soon take notice of you. I'll do my best, but yoing to …"
