Ch 3 – Training and Truth

In that way, Seph's life began in that weird ae pce.

Seph was very anxious at first. Even though he had some skills with swords and guns due to his experience of being a merary but the first thing Hel did was to wipe that out.

After that, she started his training from the very basics.

The first thing Seph was assigo do was to 'simply walk'.

Acc to Hel, "A human being bee a master of any martial art if he or she move his or her body as he or she pleases, without a single millimeter of deviation."

And to achieve this, Hel said, one must learn 'how to move one's body properly'.

Seph thought that it would be very easy, but he only realized h his way of walking was after Hel poi out hundreds of times if not more.

Seph was so embarrassed by it that he could feel his cheeks burning.

But he had to say Hel was really a great teacher.

Regardless of how much he screwed up, Hel never yells at him. What did he d? How should he be aware of it ime? She would carefully teach him that every time.

Thanks to Hel, Seph gradually began to uand the correct way to move his body.

Or perhaps it would be more accurate to say that he realized how much he had been divergent in my body movements from what he had imagined. And as his uanding progressed little by little, the difficulty level of the training also increased.

A simple walk turned into a run, or actually using swords and spears.

And before he realized it, 200 years had passed.

"I don't feel like I'm getting any stronger.... is that okay? I've dohing but swing a sword properly, no ?"

"Yes, that's good enough. You imitate any martial art just by looking at it. It is not worth the trouble to learn."

Hel simply said. "It's more than that...,"

  And... She trailed off.

"What you o learn now is another terpart to the martial arts. Well, I don't have to tell you this, do I ?"

When Seph was asked this question, he came up with an answer.

  "Could it be... magic...! ?"

Hel shook her head and said. " is not about magic, but about magical power... Or more precisely the in Powers!"

"... How is that different ?" Seph asked.

"Every ability, power, and skill inates from the in. The ability that you called Time manipution st time is nothing but a cheap tri my eyes. During my time, there was no cept of time and any normal entity could use that ability."

"Just what in the world are you, Hel?"

"I am one of the first three Primordial Existehat came to life when there was nothing but endless nothingness. We have no idea of what we were and why we existed in the first pce. Then we slowly grew se and gave birth to more life. And that life i gives birth to more life and that's how the world e ience..."

"But if that's the case, why are you sealed here?"

"Because as life grows, they e to fear us... The eldest... he is not like me and that's why everyone fears him the most and maybe which resulted iargeting me... Anyway, it's all in the past. And you should focus on your training."

"Hah... means another 200 years of basic training..."

When his shoulders slumped, Hel ughed and shook her head.

"Ha-ha-ha, what are you talking about? How that be ?"

  "Eh, really ?!"

Seph took a sigh of relief and expected that it would be surprisingly easy to learn it after listening to her but her words broke his heart.

"It 't be more than 200 years. At the very least, it would take 10,000 years! Kuha-ha-ha-ha !"

  "..."

  Thus begaremendous training in magic.

When Hel said 10,000 years, Seph thought she was exaggerating it but once Seph had pleted his 20,000 years in that pce he realized h he was.

Because even after all those years, he was only able to scratch the surface of the in power.

Finally, after 1,000,000 years ter, Hel muttered to herself.

  "?Well, it's about time."

"What do you mean?" Seph asked in fusion.

In these past million years, Seph had grown aced to his lifestyle in the pce. It was like despite the ck of Life in that small world, Seph had found peace beside Hel.

Hel smiled and asked him to follow her.

Seph walked behind her, w what she was going to teach him .

A few mier, she paused and uttered. "Are you ready to go back to your life?"

"What are you saying...?" As he spoke, a ive sensation emerged in his heart. "I don't want to..."

"Now don't make jokes... You have bee strohan before and have learned everything. You will be allowed to depart from this realm after pleting one final task.

"No! That's not possible... You're not capable of such cruelty." Seph bellowed fiercely.

Hel gave a small smile. "I assumed you had also observed it. If you murder me now, this universe will vanish and you will be free to leave it behind because I have transferred my in into you."

"No! I don't... There must be an alternative." With ay, Seph said.

"There is no other way except this..." Hel looked off into the distah a tented smile. "You have my sincere gratitude, Seph. I have genuinely ehe one million years since I first met you. It was the first time I had lived with someone else and the first time I had met someone since I was sealed here. Every sed I have spent with you and every word we have exged has brought me immense joy."

"However, it was also true that you are merely a tool that I use to break free from this never-ending cycle. In this lonely pce, there was no one I could really trust. Don't put me down, please."

A bck rod developed from the dark aura that gathered within Seph's sweating hands. It appeared to have no form at all, no handle, and nothing else.

Hel chuckled and grinned elegantly. "My personal on is this. Take good care of it.

His hands shook and Seph's lips shivered as he gazed at her.

  "I... I-I... 't..."

"Yes, you ," Hel said, ughing and ing over to him.

As he raised the bde, Seph's hand moved on its own.

"Wha... What is going on...I don't want to..."

After saying, "I knew something like that would happen so I left a safety measure in pce for that moment," Hel allowed the bde to pierce her flesh and emerge out her back, impaling her chest.

As she grinned and stroked Seph's cheek, her blood spurted out and fell onto his face.

"I apologize, but please enjoy your life and, if at all possible, let it go like a horrible dream! Please pardon me; I 't murder myself on my own."

Hel gave him a slow embrace, said something, and then smiled slightly.

"You're too cruel..." As he watched her eyes go dead and her body break down into pieces, Seph muttered and bit his bottom lip till it bled.

"...NOOOO!!" Seph's agonized voice reverberated into the distance as he let out a loud scream into that empty world.

The cage structed for the Primordial Existence disappeared because the o was inteo seal had gone... forever, and the sky shattered and the dark s broke apart as well.
