Vol 3 Chapter 35: Onwards! Abyssal Confederation!

After binding the soldiers and a certain bloodthirsty figure, Misako and the others led the freed demihumans, who had had their neck colrs removed, to meet the various demihuman tribes that had already arrived nearby.

  "Gongkei!"

  "Ah! My beloved!"

  "Dad!"

Wolves, dogs, cats, snakes... demihumans from various tribes were reuniting with their families.

  And then...

  "Daughter!"

A bck-furred tiger-tribe demihuman shouted, before rushing towards Veridith... or more specifically, towards Yuriyas beside her.

As for his name, Misako and the others were well aware of it. His name was Lambda.

  "...."

However, when faced with Lambda, who seemed to be her father, Yuriyas appeared to have not heard him at all.

  "Eh? Daughter?"

  "I don't go by 'Daughter'."

Finally, Yuriyas respoo Lambda, though her tone carried an air of distance.

  "My name now is Yuriyas."

As Yuriyas spoke her new name, she gazed at Veridith, the one who had named her, with a happy smile.

  "...Eh...?"

Lambda fell silent. His daughter, who had always been rather expressionless, like an introverted child, would still at least aowledge him as her father and respond properly.

But in just this brief moment, it seemed like his daughter had been taken away by someone else?

  "Lambda..."

Seeing Lambda's growing despair, Sumra walked over and patted him on the shoulder to offer fort.

"Brother, what I say? I suppose I'll just step back."

He felt like a —his beloved daughter had been whisked away without him even realising it.

Although, strictly speaking, his daughter had probably gotteter end of the deal. After all, Veridith was far strohan him, and was reportedly one of the most powerful dragon-tribe beings in this world. If his daughter had truly been taken in by her, he would probably ugh himself awake from sleeping in cow dung.

"...So, is she really your biological daughter?"

"Ah? Yes, Lady Farkonia. My daughter, Yuriyas, is also from the tiger tribe, just like me."

  Lambda quickly respoo Farkonia's suddeion.

  "...Tiger tribe... white hair..."

Farkonia gazed at Yuriyas, whose white hair stood out among the many demihumans. She had inally thought Yuriyas was simply a regur cat-type demihuman, but it turned out the girl had tiger ears. She fell into deep thought.

‘These features... could she be from the White Tiger tribe...?’

After carefully paring the characteristics of the White Tiger tribe that she had once learned about, she realised that every detail matched Yuriyas perfectly. Even her purple eyes were identical to those of the White Tiger tribe, which had onified nearly all demihumans.

If Yuriyas was indeed from the White Tiger tribe, it would mean she was of royal blood among the demihumans, possessing the talent and potential to lead them.

Fortunately, Veridith and the others arrived in time, otherwise, such a rare and precious existence would have been taken by the human raever to be seen again.

  However...

Farkonia looked at Yuriyas, who was closely beside Veridith, and mistakenly thought that Veridith was simply providing fort to someone feeling insecure. Her gaze softened with a touch of affe.

‘They're still just children, so we shouldn’t put too much pressure on them.’

  ...

In an open area within the forest where the demihumans resided, a rge crowd had gathered. On one side were the human soldiers, restrained by magical bindings, looking uneasy. Oher side were various demihuman tribes.

Though this group sisted mostly of those living in the forest who hadn’t yet been captured, their numbers had already surpassed ten thousand.

At the tre of it all were Misako, Aris, and the others.

"I’m sure you all know by now that the humans took your women and children, but with our help, we’ve successfully brought them back."

"I’ll introduce myself again. I e from the Abyssal federation, and as the leader of this nation, and having experienced simir hardships as you, my kin, the demons, we will offer you prote. You only o decide if you wish to bee citizens of our try."

There was no obje from any of the demihumans to Misako's decration.

They didn't feel any deep sense of homesiess. After all, in this pce, they had to stantly ehe heart-wreng cycles of life ah. Whether it was men being killed by wild beasts, monsters, or humans, or women and children beien by predators or captured by humans, or simply dying from disease, their memories weren’t fond—if anything, they were memories of nothing good.

"I uand now. So, all of you will bee citizens of the Abyssal federation and receive our prote. As long as you follow the rules, you will live a life free from the fear of being captured or eaten."

As for the mohat lived in the forest, sihey cked the intelled reasoning required for uniisako had not included them in the migration pns.

Although they did io accept some monsters, they would only take in those who posed no threat. Individuals who harmed others or who acted cruelly were seen as criminals and were not part of their prote efforts.

", we will begin ration to the Abyssal federation’s borders. Please prepare yourselves... Are there any questions?"

As Misako was expining the steps, one demihuman raised their hand.

"Uh... with so many of us, the migration will be incredibly difficult, right? Setting aside the potential attention we might attract from humans, food is a big issue..."

There were at least ten thousand demihumans here, and many were children or those who had difficulty moving. The idea of migrating all the way to the Abyssal federation, on the far edge of the Abyss, seemed like an impossible task.

"You worry about that, as it won't be necessary."

At the fused gazes of the demihumans, Misako stepped aside, allowing Farkonia and Aris to step forward.

"Rex, and don’t resist. Otherwise, I won’t be able to guarantee your safety."

Upon hearing this, both the demihumans and humans froze in fear, afraid to move.

  "Aris."

  "…Mm."

With a brief exge between Farkonia and Aris, an enormous torrent of magical power surged across the entire open space, enveloping everyone present.

‘Although I have a vague uanding of how she defeated Farkonia, seeing it firsthand is still terrifying...’

Misako reflected as she felt the overwhelming magical power that seemed to dim even the sunlight.

Soon, Aris would cast a rge-scale teleportation spell, transp everyone from this forest to the distant Abyssal federation.

Though Farkonia could also aplish this, her magical power aal energy were retively weaker than Aris's. Moreover, Aris had mastered various unique dragon and Farkonia-developed spells, so she was in charge of the operation, with Farkonia assisting her.

With a blinding light that could illumihe entire forest, everyone vanished from the clearing.
