Arc 2 – 27. Dragons Revenge

  Inside of The Lebanon Kingdom Neighbors to Kingdom of Idelia:

  TAKE FORMATION!

  DRUM!

  Rain and thunder filled the sky. Outside of Lebanon’s castle stood the royal dwarven army—thousands of warriors wielding spellbdes and axes, each on shimmering with raw magi the front, a dwarven ander heavy armor took a deep breath, his eyes burning with determination. With a roar, he charged forward, his boots sinking into the wet, mud-bzoned field.

  ROAR! SWOOSH!

  A beam of energy suddenly cut through the stormy darkness, striking the army and instantly obliterating a se of the front lines. Dwarven warriors screamed as they were engulfed in purple fmes. Then, from the shadows, a massive silhouette emerged—a dragon with scales as dark as night and eyes glowing with malevolehe remaining dwarves tighteheir grips on their ons as they watched in horror. The fallen warriors did not remain dead. Their bodies twitched, their eyes turning an eerie shade of violet. With unnatural movements, the newly risen dwarves turned against their own rades, f their brethren into battle against them.

  “Nothing but iron ah!” the ander bellowed, raising his axe high. The dwarves roared in unison, pushing forward, their battle cries eg across the field. They charged toward the bed silhouettes, their bdes fshing, but—

  SWIPE!

  They were all instantly cut down.

  Magic fred across the battlefield, illuminating the night with bursts of energy. Amidst the chaos, the ander raised his voice above the g steel and deafening thunder. “By the will of Anax, god of war, we fight! Empower us, O mighty one, a our bdes carve the path of victory!”

  A deep, guttural ughter cut through the storm. From the sky, the dragon’s voied, carrying the weight of a malice. “You shall all suffer!”

  With a blinding purple light, the great dragon Kuragari shifted, her massive form shrinking and twisting. Where oood a terrifyi now stood a young girl with deep violet eyes and long dark hair, a flowing bck robe. Despite her seemingly fragile form, an overwhelming presence radiated from her.

  The dwarven general stepped forward, his battle-worn armleaming uhe crag storm. “I am Onyx, warrior of the dwarves! And I will be your end, beast!” He lifted his massive axe, the runes on its bde pulsing with a golden hue.

  Kuragari smirked. “Let us see.”

  With a burst of speed unnatural for her small frame, she rushed him. Their ons cshed—axe against dragon-fed steel. Sparks flew as they exged blows, each strike shattering the earth beh them. Onyx swung downward with tremendous force, but Kuragari evaded, flipping over his on as if gravity meant nothing to her.

  Thunder rumbled as she stretched out her hand. Crag arcs of violet lightning surged forth. Onyx barely mao roll aside, the raw energy searing the ground where he had just stood. Kuragari leapt onto his axe, bang effortlessly as he swung, trying to shake her off. She merely ughed, her movements fluid as she backflipped high into the air, purple fire erupting from her mouth.

  Onyx raised his axe in defehe a on absorbed the fmes, its surface glowing from the immense heat. Yet, despite his effort, the force of the bst sent him skidding backward.

  Kuragari nded gracefully, tilting her head. “e now, dwarf. Is that all?”

  Onyx grihrough gritted teeth. “This axe is fed from your kind, girl. You’ll never—”

  SLICE!

  A siing sound echoed through the battlefield. Blood sprayed into the air.

  Onyx’s words died in his throat as he staggered. Behind him stood Kuragari, her dragon-spike sword dripping crimson. He gasped, his hands instinctively clutg at his throat. A moment ter, his axe fell from his grip, embedding itself into the mud. His body colpsed beside it.

  Kuragari stepped over his corpse, her violet eyes gleaming. “Your kind seeks war?” she whispered, the words carrying through the battlefield like a curse. “Then I shall grant you traitors the bloodshed you desire.”

  HAHAHA AHAHAH! She ughed as blood spread everywhere. But that all quickly ended.

  BOOM!

  As the dust settled, a figure emerged from the age—Evastor.

  His pierg blue eyes locked ontari, his white hair billowing iorm's wind. The temperature plummeted as his presence overtook the battlefield. a flowing light-blue kimono, he exuded an icy authority. In his grip, a katana, its bde gleaming with frozen magic.

  Kuragari's ughter echoed, her violet eyes gleaming with sadistic amusement. "You."

  Without hesitation, she spewed forth purple fmes, a torrent of destru surging toward him. Evastor remained unfazed. Raising his hand, he froze the inferno midair, shattering it with a single ssh of his bde. His expression remained calm, as if her efforts were nothing more than a minor nuisance.

  Kuragari gritted her teeth. With a flick of her wrist, the undead dwarves arouirred, their twisted bodies turning toward Evastor.

  "Denied," he muttered.

  Ice surged forward from his outstretched palm, engulfing the undead. Their forms became crystalliatues, motionless. With a swift motion, he swung his katana, shattering them into tless shards. The battlefield was now clear—only the twons remained.

  Kuragari let out a furious roar. The air crackled with dark energy as she unfurled her wings, her form shifting into that of a mighty dragon. Scales bck as night, her body pulsed with raw power. Her mouth opened wide, gathering energy into a massive purple beam before firing it toward Evastor.

  With a deep breath, Evastor responded in kind. He unleashed a brilliant blue beam of ice magic, the two attacks colliding in a violent explosion of energy. The very air quaked as both dragons fought for domiheir beams refusing to yield.

  Kuragari lunged forward, her cws sshing toward him. Evastor dodged, vanishing from her sight in a blur of speed. He reappeared above her, his katana desding with terrifying precision. She barely raised her sword in time to block, their bdes g with a resounding g.

  They moved like phantoms, their swords meeting in a flurry of strikes, parries, and ters. Each ssh carved the air, sending shockwaves through the battlefield. The rain poured heavily, sizzling into steam as it met their overwhelming energy.

  Evastor deflected a wild strike and tered with a devastating upward ssh. Kuragari twisted away, her violet fmes surging around her bde as she struck agaior met her attack head-on, his katana encased in thick frost, their ons grinding against each other in a brutal test of strength.

  “You’re only causing trouble for our empress!” Evastor yelled, his voice cutting through the storm. "The emperor’s st and was to wait for the chosen one and protect the empress. NOT TO KILL THE TRAITORS!"

  Kuragari's eyes widened with fury, her grip tightening. "Lies! They killed him! They Betrayed us! They deserve nothing but death!"

  Their mana fred, wings sprouting from their backs as they soared into the sky. Higher and higher, their battle asded beyond the storm clouds. Ich-bight, the only thing visible was the stant csh of steel and bursts of magic.

  Kuragari pulled back, her flowing with urained power. "ARMAGEDDON'S RISING!" she roared, unleashing an immense pilr of violet destru.

  Evastor exhaled slowly. He raised his katana, the moon casting its glow behind him. His blue eyes gleamed with unshakable resolve as lightning crackled around him.

  “Denial: plete Ice Age.”

  A colossal beam of absolute zero energy surged forward, colliding with Kuragari’s attack. The csh sted mere seds before his ice magic overtook her fmes, creeping toward her with ruthless iability.

  Kuragari screamed in rage as the ied her, freezing her mid-flight. Her form remained locked in a prison of crystalline frost, her furious expression forever sealed in time.

  Evastor nded softly, his katana vanishing in a gust of icy wind. The storm had ceased. Silence reigned.

  The battle was over.

  Evastor limped as his blood dripped as he picked up the ice cube of Kuragari as he flew into the air toward the Academy his wings tattered.
