Chapter 20: You're quite bold
I suddenly understood what he meant, my face burning with shame as I looked away from him. He didn't look at me again either, smiled lightly and left.
I found out that I didn't even have a chance to speak or ask questions.
"Who is..." I pointed to the man lying on the bed, asking tentatively. Upon closer inspection, he was actually quite handsome, perhaps just lacking in spirit due to his prolonged illness.
"Hmph, now that you've seen big brother's handsome face, are you disappointed?" He glared at me coldly, his tone unpleasant: "If it weren't for my mother saying I'd wake up as soon as you entered the door, I would have beaten you to death with a whip!"
Looking at his serious expression, I couldn't help but feel a chill run down my spine. But for someone so young, his words were so venomous - what will happen when he grows up?
I ignored his cold words and walked straight to the chair to sit down. It seems that the person lying on the bed is my husband Song Tang, whom I married today. The man who just left must be Song Tang's older brother Song Ming. Song Tang, Song Ming, I thought to myself, if this family had a few more children, wouldn't they have to be named Yuan Ming Qing?
It seems that Song Tang didn't wake up just now, so he asked his brother to replace him to welcome me in. Coincidentally, as soon as I entered the door, Song Tang woke up.
"Hey, get me a cup of tea over here!" Song Tang looked at me discontentedly as I drank my tea with abandon, his eyes full of anger staring at me.
His eyes were also dull and grey, probably due to his long illness.
But what is his underlying illness?
I thought to myself, reluctantly pouring a cup of tea and handing it over to him, saying: "Here!"
That guy looked at me unexpectedly and said, "Aren't you going to treat me to a drink?"
I was stunned and said, "Since you still have the energy to speak, why do you want me to feed you?" As I spoke, I was about to take away the hot water. These are all high-ranking officials who have never worked hard, looking at their corrupt behavior, they even need someone to serve them a sip of water.
"You, you, you..." He pointed at me with a trembling finger: "I took you back to the mansion not just to serve me, otherwise I would have called any maid for these things... You, you are so bold."
