Sit on Me, Please

Chibafu sits in the middle of the forest, the lawnchair trying (but not succeeding) at looking natural in this place. Insects are flying about, some smaller mammals crawling about too.

I mean…the forest is pretty relaxing.

A grasshopper jumps onto Chibafu, sitting on the seat part.

“Man, I don’t wanna go back to my wife later, she’s gonna be pissed!”

Who said that? Am I already going crazy?

Chibafu focuses on the grasshopper sitting on him, then hearing the voice again.

“I mean, she can’t blame me right? How was I supposed to know that was her brother and not her?!”

Chibafu then realizes the voice is from the grasshopper, but when he does the grasshopper jumps off of him and skitters away.

So…I can read minds? Why would I want to read a bug’s mind, or know about their marriage problems…

Out of nowhere, a UI appears in front of Chibafu, hovering in the air.

Oh, I see now…It’s one of Those other worlds.

The UI remains floating, and Chibafu takes another look at it, reading the contents.

Skill: Interpersonal Telepathic Communication: Allows any person who has made physical contact with the user to hear the user’s voice in their mind, and communicate with them. For Lingering effects, both parties must be willing.

Skill: Unlimited Warranty: Any hits are fixed to pristine condition within 2 minutes.

Chibafu understands these, then the screen rolls down to the last skill.

  Skill: Fold: Fold.

What does that even mean? Do I just…

Chibafu folds into storage mode of the lawn chair, then flopping to the ground.

  …Makes sense.

Chibafu makes peace with this stance, on the floor and not moving, when out of nowhere, a shockwave crashes through the forest with a loud BOOOOOOOM following it.

What the hell could’ve made that noise?

We look onward, toward a team fighting a group of strong-looking magical wolves. A wizard with a huge hat looks toward the wolves surrounding them, then back at their group.

“I don’t wanna die here! I don’t want my obituary to say “Mauled by some low-level beasts!” The wizard frantically screeches, the group looking at him in confusion.

The wizard then looks at the ground, and with one last glance gives his groups a peace sign, then pulls out a scroll with a triangular pattern, then a white light envelops him, and he vanishes into thin air.

“WHAT THE HELL MAN!!??!” A female warrior cries out, angry at the actions of the wizard, but the wolves approach.

The last 2 now back to back, the other being a female, blonde hair and has longer ears, an indication of her lineage as an elf.

“You know what? Now’s a better time than ever…”

The female warrior turns to face the elf, going down on one knee, the elf looking shocked at this. Even the wolves are shocked at this, them looking puzzled at this sight.

“Will you do me the honor….”

The elf woman gets flustered, her face growing red.

“...of being bait so I can leave?”

The elf woman looks stunned at this, the warrior woman running away as the wolves remain shocked at this turn of events.

The wolves snap back to reality, walking in on the last person of the team, the elf.

The elf, in shambles, gets up to stand her ground. She then points her finger to something unseen in the forest

  “WHAT’S THAT???!”

The wolves glance to where she was pointing, seeing nothing. The wolves then look back, and the elf woman is on the run, heading into the forest.

The wolves reposition their gazes to the girl, and begin their pursuit.

The elf continues running, frantically looking around and screaming.

  “SOMEBODY?!? ANYBODY?!? HELP ME?!?”

She looks in the woods, her gaze scattering about to find something or someone to help her, then she sees Chibafu. He’s far from the path, and something seems to be sitting on him but she can’t make out what it says.

Her face gets confused, but she never stops running forward. She looks to her right again, shocked to see Chibafu again, only he’s moved closer to the path.

She continues to run away, the wolves still hot on her trail. She moves forward, her pace slowing down, and the wolves growing closer.

She looks again to her right, and this time Chibafu is right next to the trail she’s running, and the sign is fully visible.

  “Sit on me”

“What? No way am I sitting on this random piece of junk!”

She runs forward once more, and finally Chibafu is in front of her on the trail. The sign now says something different.

  “Sit on me, please”

The elf turns around, seeing there’s not much distance between her and the wolves now, and decides to take the chance and sit on him.

  “Thank you, for trusting me”

The words echo in the elf’s mind, but no voice is externally heard.

“How do you think we should get out of this?” the elf asks Chibafu

“Fight them off, you can do it”

“How should I do that? I dropped my sword back there” the elf girl asks, her tone panicking as the wolves are almost here.

  “Use me”

  “Excuse me?”

“You heard me. Use me as your weapon”

“Are you sure? Won’t that hurt you?” the elf asks, scared she might hurt her new companion.

“It’s okay, I have unlimited warranty.” Chibafu reassures her

“Unlimited warra-...alright then if you say so” the elf takes the initiative, and picks up Chibafu.

The elf swings Chibafu around like a professional wrestler, the wolves being culled one at a time through sheer blunt force.

The elf kills 2 of the wolves, and the other 3 turn tail and run away to protect themselves. The elf woman puts Chibafu down, sitting on the ground out of pure exhaustion.

  “Thanks for helping me….uhhh”

  “Chibafu Isu…and you are?”

“Elfana Tia” The elf replies, a grateful smile on her face.

This name brought only a single thought to Chibafu’s mind.

Yep. It’s one of THOSE isekais.
