Chapter 22: Kidnapped by the Corbas

  {George}

Being on vacation like this is the best time of my life. I loved it because I get to spend it with my son and my two partners Branden and Triple X. On the second day of vacation I woke up towards the afternoon next to Branden and Triple X. We had a lot of sex the night before and I think it turned into a game between them about who could wear me out during sex first. I think Braden won this time.

"Well good morning or afternoon to you," Triple X said with a smile.

"I could say the same thing to you," I said.

"So what are we going to do today?" Branden asked.

"I say we go to the beach, this is a beach house after all," Triple X said.

"Sounds like a good idea to me," I said.

We each took a shower separately and got dressed and headed down to the beach. Levi, Eve, Zoey and Junior were already there. Eve was lying back on a chair reading a book. Levi was playing in the sand with Junior and Zoey. Levi and Junior were busy making a sandcastle while Zoey was more interested in collecting seashells. The sandcastle Levi and Junior were making was rather impressive. It reminded me of the castles that I would see in stories that were fairytale books.

Zoey brought the bucket of seashells she collected and put it on the table next to where Eve was sitting. "Mommy look! I got seashells!"

Eve put her book down and tilted her head. "Uh… That's great, dear?"

I snorted. "You've never seen a seashell before have you Eve?"

She frowned and shook her head. "If I did then I would know what to do with them right?"

"Zoey, why don't you show your Mom what seashells are!" I said.

Zoey rolled her eyes. "Why do you think I put the bucket on the table Uncle George? I wanted to show Mommy, duh!"

"Zoey! That was rather rude young lady!" Eve scolded.

"Well Zoey did have a point, George," Branden said.

"Sorry Uncle George," Zoey said. She turned her attention back to Eve. "But look Mommy check out the seashells! Aren't they pretty?"

The seashells that were in the bucket came in all shapes and sizes like most seashells. There were small round ones, large ones and somehow Zoey managed to snag a clam shell. It didn't have a pearl in it but it still looked pretty.

"What are they looking at?" Triple X asked as he took a seat next me at the table.

"They're looking at seashells," I answered. "Eve has never seen a seashell before."

Triple X smiled. "Well that's understandable because kids like Eve never really get to experience things like this. At least I was able to get out and see new things but that was part of my training to become a Congregation Leader. Eve's training probably consisted of learning martial arts about eight hours a day along with going to school learning whatever studies Elder Lewis wanted her to learn."

"Oh," I said. Being reminded of how Eve's childhood (or lack thereof a childhood) was, I felt a pain in my heart knowing that. There was a short silence when I broke it by saying, "Anyway, this is a vacation let's focus on happy things even if it's something as little as seeing what seashells look like."

He nodded. "I totally agree with that."

I perked up. "Hey, let's go swimming!"

"Alright," He said. He looked at Branden. "Branden you coming?"

"Um, I think I'll stay here," Branden said.

I grabbed Triple X's hand and we ran towards the ocean and went for a swim. I'm glad Triple X is a strong swimmer because he challenged me to race to see who could get back to shore quicker. I won the race although I wonder if he just let me win.

Triple X laughed, "Nope I didn't let you win."

"Hey, how'd you know I was thinking about that?" I asked.

"You had that look on your face questioning if your win was fair and square," Triple X said. "Now I must admit there have been times when I did just let someone win just to humor them. Then their ego got too big after that so I fought them for real and they lost."

  I raised an eyebrow. "Uh-huh."

"I can tell by the look on your face you're not buying it," Triple X said. He smirked and shrugged. "Okay I'll admit, I gave you a really big head start."

"Of course you did," I said.

Triple X pulled me into his arms and kissed me. "Take the win."

I pouted. "Fine but we're going for a rematch at a later date."

Triple X snorted. "Okay then, I accept that challenge."

Later that night we met up with the family for dinner. That's when all hell broke loose. It didn't start until after the waitress took our order when we saw people running out of the building and screaming in terror. The waitress saw what was going on and took cover under a nearby table and when we heard the gunshots.

This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it

"Shit!" Eve said, "Everyone take cover!"

We did as Eve said to do and took cover underneath the nearby tables. We weren't the only ones that had that idea because there were other people hiding in the same fashion.

"Oh Agent 36! Agent 72! I know you're here!" Someone called out. A gun was fired several times. "Where are you hiding?"

I saw Eve look at me out of the corner of my eye. She gave me a look that said 'we might have to face them' and I had a feeling that she was right.

"Hmm, if you guys don't come out soon I'll just have to start killing innocent bystanders," the same person said. "How about a deal? You guys come out of hiding and I'll be sure to let everyone else here go."

"Why do you want us?" Eve called out as she came out from where she was hiding.

I followed suit and that was when I managed to get a good look at who it was. It was a young man probably about my age and he was wearing a white t-shirt with olive camouflage pants. He wore brown steel toe boots to complete the look. He also had a tattoo on his left arm that looked like a snake. A Cobra to be exact.

The man cocked his head to the side and had a look of amusement on his face. "Why do you think? You two are the most valuable Agents the Organization has and I can't think of a better way to hit them where it hurts. Losing their valuable Agents."

"Okay we'll go with you, just let everyone in the restaurant go first," Eve said.

  The man nodded. "Alright."

He kept his word and let everyone out of the restaurant.

After everyone left two other guys came into the restaurant with rope and silver handcuffs in their hands. They handcuffed us and tied our legs together and the last thing I saw was that they took out a syringe and injected us with something. After that happened I blacked out.

  {Levi}

When everyone left the restaurant Mom and Dad were beside themselves with worry and I don't blame them. They just watched their daughter-in-law get kidnapped right before their eyes.

I paced back and forth in the waiting room at the Police Station because they wanted us to give statements about what just happened. Although I was more than willing to help out with any information I could give them I doubted the regular police would be able to handle this situation. What I didn't expect was to see Elder Lewis come barging into the Police Station with Triple X and Branden on his heels.

The one question I had for them was why didn't they do anything to stop George and Eve from getting kidnapped?

"Oh I know that look on your face Levi Harriman and the answer to your question is Agent 36 knew what she was doing when she went with her kidnappers," Elder Lewis said.

I glared at Triple X and Branden. "And why didn't you guys do anything to stop them? You're stronger than the guys that came in to take them aren't you?"

"Actually they were Agents, well former Agents who left the Organization and formed a faction known as the Cobra's," Triple X answered. "The Reds and Army congregations have been doing our best to track these traitors down but it seems that they have allies and one of their allies is someone who leads another faction called: The Rebellion."

"The Organization has been waiting for Agent 36 to become an Enforcer for a reason and now that she's a Super Agent that makes things even better," Elder Lewis said with a smirk.

I narrowed my eyes and hissed. "I don't understand what you think is so-"

"It's not funny because my smirk is one of pride not one of amusement. Agent 36 will finally be able to meet the guy who's responsible for leading the factions as it is," Elder Lewis said.

"And who might that be?" I asked.

"The man who is leading the Rebellion's name is Blade. And he's Agent 36's father," Elder Lewis said.

  {Blade}

I was woken up by the sound of my phone ringing loudly. When I answered it I grumbled, "There had better be a good reason why you're calling me at 2am in the morning!"

"Well good morning to you too sir!" I recognized the voice as belonging to Anthony. Anthony is the leader of the faction called the Cobra's. Anthony and I have always butted heads over different ideas on how to bring down the Organization.

I rolled my eyes. "So what do you want Anthony?"

"I have a little gift that you might want to pick up," Anthony said.

  I paused. "Huh?"

"Just turn on the news," Anthony said.

I did as he told me to do and what I saw made me gasp in surprise as I watched a reporter standing outside a restaurant called Seranode.

The reporter nodded as she was given the signal to start commenting on her report. "Yes, right now I'm standing in front of a restaurant called Seranode where just yesterday evening two soldiers were kidnapped from." The reporting switched to voiceover mode as the screen displayed images of what looked like CCTV footage. "At around about 10:30 pm yesterday gunshots were heard. And while most of the people in the restaurant were able to escape there were still a handful who weren't able to. Among those who weren't able to escape was the Harriman family. The Harriman's are known for their influence in the business world with their total net worth being over thirty billion dollars and counting."

My eyes went wide at what I saw as the reporter continued, "The two soldiers who were kidnapped were Evelyn Harriman and George Harriman."

I didn't pay attention to the rest of the report because my blood was boiling. "How dare you kidnap my daughter while she's on vacation!"

"Weren't you going to do the same thing soon? Exactly what were you waiting for? A little thankyou would be nice," Anthony growled. "And don't worry I'll make sure that nobody harms a hair on Eve or George's heads."

"I was waiting for the right moment," I said.

"And when was that going to be?" Anthony said.

"When the Organization sent her after me to kill me," I answered.

"Well that wasn't going to happen anytime soon so to show how much of an ally I am to you, you might want to come and pick your gift up before I return it," Anthony said with a tone of annoyance in his voice.

"It? My daughter and my son-in-law aren't an 'it!" I snapped. "Oh I'll come and pick up my 'gift' alright. You'd better be prepared to fight me when I get over to your headquarters!"

Anthony chuckled. "It's been a long time since the last time we've fought. I'll be looking forward to it."

Without another word he hung up the phone.

  "What's going on?" Diego asked.

"It seems like one of our allies decided that they couldn't wait for my daughter to meet me and they kidnapped her," I said.

"What!" Diego said. "Did Anthony do this by chance?"

I nodded. "Yep. Now I have to go rescue Eve from him because who knows what he'll do to her. He's about as crazy as Uncle 42 is!"

Diego shuddered. "Yeah and I'm still not doing the water tanks!"

When I started to get dressed Diego said, "And where do you think you're going?"

"To rescue my daughter, duh," I said. "And you're coming with me! Now get up and get dressed."

Diego begrudgingly followed my orders and we stepped out into the living area of the rundown we were living in. Before I left I made sure to give orders to Ronda to send John's family his body since we hadn't sent it to them yet. I told her to make sure to put the note that I wrote out with his body. In my note I clearly stated that Levi Harriman wasn't the killer and that they wouldn't be able to find the killer even with police involvement so it was best not to get the police involved.

On the drive to Anthony's lair I couldn't help but feel some sort of excitement. I was finally going to meet my daughter face to face after all these years.
