Chapter Seven Apology
The little swallow finally found the person with great difficulty, and when everyone arrived, they saw a small package sitting on the ground, wearing clothes as small as a ball. The little face was like a kitten's, with tears washing away the dirt in streaks, crying very loudly, and there were also bloodstains on her clothes.
Zhao Juan was so worried that she almost fainted, and quickly picked up the child. While wiping Song Jie's face, she said: "Nini, don't cry, where does it hurt? Tell Mommy, Mommy will blow on it for you, don't cry, crying makes Mommy's heart ache." After speaking, her eyes were red.
Seeing Zhao Juan so into the play, Song Jie quickly stopped crying and pretended to choke back sobs, pointing at her own front tooth: "My tooth fell out... waaah..."
Aunt Li, who was standing beside her, couldn't help but laugh: "It's nothing, just a lost tooth. It will grow back after a while, and it's almost time for the baby teeth to fall out anyway. Let's take another look and see if there are any other sore spots, don't hurt anywhere else."
Song Jie's teeth ache: "It doesn't hurt anymore"
Everyone let out a sigh of relief, and Little Swallow ran to the side, picked up the still-on-the-ground Big Afu, and handed it over to Song Jie. Song Jie took it, grasped it tightly, and showed her empty front teeth as she smiled at Little Swallow.
Everyone saw this and laughed, being able to laugh means the child is fine. Aunt Li teased Song Jie for a while and asked: "Do you know where your fallen tooth went? If you throw the upper front tooth into the gutter, it will grow smoothly."
Song Jie was an orphan and no one told her such things when she was a child. Even later, when she read books and knew a little about it, she couldn't figure out what was going on.
It feels great to have someone concerned about her, she spreads out her palm, and a fallen tooth just appears in the center of it, everyone thinks she has been holding onto it all along, who would have thought that this was just retrieved from space.
For now, she is in control of this space, and everything inside is at her fingertips. Finding a grain of rice-sized tooth is no big deal for her.
However, Aunt Li still followed Zhao Juan and took Song Jie to the health clinic. The doctor said that the child was fine, just needed some anti-inflammatory medication, but her teeth might grow a bit slower.
Song Jie heard this and her face fell, how can she live without front teeth?! Thinking about it, a little girl speaks with a big gap in her teeth, it's really stupid, it makes people collapse.
Everyone returned to Song Jie's home, all exhausted. Li Shu took out the teeth that were still in the water gutter at home and led Xiaoyan back. Zhao Juan thanked again, and Song Jie, who had been through thick and thin, was tormented by everyone.
Zhao Juan changed another set of clothes for Song Jie, washed her face, and hugged her pale little face with a big kiss. Song Jie laughed "heh heh", and the heavy atmosphere suddenly dissipated.
In the afternoon, Zhao Juan didn't go to work and stayed with her daughter instead.
At one o'clock, a sudden noise came from outside the door, followed by "bang bang bang" knocking sounds.
The mother and daughter were playing with stones when they suddenly heard a knock at the door. Zhao Juan went to open it and found it was Zhang Yougen's family.
Zhang Yougen was pulling the big cow's ears with one hand and dragging its collar with the other. Wu Huahua, who was standing aside, was about to burst her lungs in anger. Normally, the big cow was her precious darling, and she wouldn't even let anyone touch it. Now that it was being treated like this by the child's father, she still had to apologize to that fox spirit, and she was almost suffocating with rage.
"This is......" Seeing this scene, Zhao Jiao was somewhat bewildered. She had already heard from her daughter about what happened. Did she not know what kind of person Wu Huai was? It's useless to look for justice, it's good that she didn't slap you in the face, pointing at her and apologizing is as difficult as ascending to heaven.
If the injury was serious, Zhao Juan would have gone all out to find them. Fortunately, her daughter's injury was not severe, and Zhao Juan had no intention of asking for compensation from their family. But what was going on now? Were they preparing to apologize voluntarily?
Zhang Yougen felt a bit embarrassed: "Zhao Juan, I came here today to have this little rabbit apologize to you. I heard that Big Cow hit your Nini? Don't know how badly she was hurt?"
It turned out to be the case, Zhao Juan let out a sigh of relief. She was afraid that Wu Huai would make trouble again, and she was worried that even if nothing happened, she would still accuse them: "Nothing's wrong, Nini just lost a front tooth, nothing else is wrong with her, she's not seriously injured, so don't blame the child."
Next to him, Wu Huaihua had endured for long enough. She was also afraid that her own child would hurt someone else, so she had been holding back and didn't speak up. Now that she heard it was nothing serious, she immediately became spirited and loud, her voice rising by eight degrees: "Nothing's wrong, nothing! It's all over the streets now, you're too heartless! Look at how scared the kid is, what a state he's in! You don't even apologize, consider yourself lucky I'm not looking for trouble with you. Go home!" She pulled her son and was about to leave.
Zhang Yougen felt a bit annoyed when he heard this. He was a reasonable person and knew that his own child was in the wrong, so why shouldn't they apologize? "Where are you going? You hit someone else's kid, how can you not apologize? Big Cow, go and apologize to your sister Niuniu, hurry up."
Next to him, Wu Huahua snatched the child away and hugged him in her arms, wailing: "Why is my life so bitter? You heartless person. Everyone says it's nothing, but you still make the child apologize. What kind of heart do you have? Don't even think about using my son to lick this fox spirit."
On the side, Zhang Yougen was so anxious that he burst into flames: "You this shrew, what nonsense are you talking about? In front of the child, can you also say such things? Hurry up and let the child apologize to others, how can they not admit their mistakes?"
"You're calling me a shrew? I knew you'd be disgusted by my old age. You've been blinded by that fox spirit, if you have the guts, go and live with her! If not, then you're not even a man! Look at me, don't I even bat an eyelid?" Wu Huaihua completely missed the point, only knowing how to wildly flail about.
One of the big cows was also frightened and bellowed loudly, thundering without rain, with a loud voice.
"I... I... You this shrew, why don't you speak reasonably?" Zhang Yougen's words were already incoherent with rage.
Wu Huaihua was unreasonable and unyielding: "How am I not reasonable? You're the one who's not reasonable, your whole family is unreasonable. Dare to call me a shrew, I won't let you off!" After finishing speaking, she even scratched him, her hand grasping Zhang Yougen's face.
Zhang Yougen's face suddenly appeared two blood marks, it can be seen that Wu Huaihua was very forceful and made a ruthless effort. Zhang Yougen never hit women, so he quickly dodged his wife's poisonous hand, but Wu Huaihua did not give up, bravely rushing forward. The two of them started fighting.
Zhao Juan watched this farce, feeling a mix of laughter and tears. What kind of people are these? The child cries and the mother calls out, now it's become the village mothers' after-dinner gossip material.
"Ah," she softly sighed and turned around, "bang" closing the door, isolating the sound outside. She didn't expect an apology from them anyway.
The noise outside the door was incessant and didn't stop until after a while. It seemed that Zhang Yougen had dragged away that shrewish woman, and even Song Jie inside the house could hear it clearly.
She knew that this family would not come to their door for a while and let out a sigh of relief, it was as if they had just escaped from a flood beast!
