Author Notes

  Hi there :)

This isn’t a trend-chasing story. It’s not power fantasies, or over-the-top action — nothing close to Peaky Blinders or Narcos. Mob and Mafia are just an element in the story, but not the core.

There’s no magic, no system, no isekai. Just kids navigating harsh lives in a gritty urban world and an insight of the mob world.

It’s a slow-burn, character-driven story — emotional and dramatic, with shonen vibes, a touch of martial arts, and slice-of-life moments among very different characters.

I wrote this story as someone who left home, lived alone abroad, and missed family more than I could say.

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

Maybe — just maybe — if you’ve ever left home, whether by choice or not, to work or to study.

Or if you are a parent who let go of his son or daughter and miss them, this story might speak to you.

Thank you for your time, and for giving it a chance.

Many many many thanks to World Masterpiece Theater: the Anime Studio who animated Remy Nobody's Girl and Romeo Aoi No Sora ( or Romeo and the black brothers ), one of the primary inspirations of this work.

Honorable mentions go to Ghibli! A studio I adore! 0 smut, 0 fan service, 0 cheap hooks. Juste story telling and life lessons. One of the biggest inspirations as well.

  I hope you enjoy it.

For full transparency: I used various tools for brainstorming, checking if certain things align with the timeline, and text polishing and grammar checking. But the voices, the characters, the story, the idea are my own.
