When it opened Skyler saw mountains of dust along the crates and the shelves along the walls. Skyler coughed since it tickled her throat when she breathed.

  “God why is it so dusty”

  Skyler muttered, while she walked through the storage room and opened another door it caught the floor scratching the surface. She winced at the sound which made her teeth hurt.

  When she went through the opening, and entered the kitchen. She saw many chefs, cooking amazing foods which; she had never seen before.

  “How didn’t they hear that door open?”

  Skyler thought, she couldn’t believe what was happening. It was like the chefs; we’re in some sort of trance and it really spooked Skyler by how absorbed they were.

  “This is just…wow”

  Skyler said without realising that she said what was in her mind. She took a piece of bread and ate it while she silently walked across the kitchen to the double doors leading to the hallway of the manor.

  While she ate the bread she thought about the taste of it. The Bead’s taste was like it was made of sand or something since it hasn’t had a good texture to it.

  “What, gross”

  She thought while spitting out the bread into a plant pot. Then she whipped her mouth with the back of her hand. She felt bad at how she spat out the bread into a plant pot but she couldn’t handle the taste of it.

  She whispered before walking away from it. While she walked down the hallway she noticed that there wasn’t a single portrait or painting on the walls. Which made her feel a bit uncomfortable. The sudden coldness of it made her realise how sad this manor was.

  Skyler wondered about the previous owners and how they would have reacted to this situation now. Seeing this place no painting or such; just wall paper.

  She shuddered at the thought. Then she realised that she was standing at the grand staircase. The staircase was very wooden and very squeaky when Skyler put her foot down on it and grabbed the banister.

  She scaled the stair case continuously scanning the area trying to see if anymore guards were coming. She looked at her watch hoping that Justin would call her.

  “Come on Justin, I know that I was wrong but I need you.”

  She muttered, while she came to the landing of the staircase of the first floor.

  “Okay, Luna, where would you be?”

  She questioned quietly before couching and moving towards the other end of the hallway towards a black oak door with two big handle bars.

  She reached for the handle and pushed it gently forward trying not to make any more sound than she did walking up those stairs. She grimaced at the door since it wasn’t budging; which made Skyler a bit uncomfortable since she could hear voices getting louder.

  “Come on”

  She tried again pushing it but a bit harder. But again it still wasn’t budging. She groaned and locked her eyes to a shadow and made it change into a hammer.

  “If you’re not opening then I will make you”

  She whispered angrily, putting the handle of it onto one of the handles of the door and pulled on it and it opened.

  “Thank god”

  She sighed and quickly slipped into the room. Where she saw many leather bound books on wooden shelves around the room which she was amazed at the amount.

  Then she saw a picture of a little girl and a man who had a mustache who also had yellow eyes. She looked back at the door wondering if this is a good place to be.

  “That’s my father”

  A familiar voice said, Skyler looked up and saw Luna coming into the room from the balcony. Her brown hair swayed in the breeze. Skyler looked at where Luna was going.

  “These books are the real history of this planet.”

  Luna brushed off dust from one of the books and brought it over to the desk and placed it down on the table.

  Luna took a breath

  “Those 6 spirits that were sealed by us because they were a threat in those history books.”

  “Yes”

  “Well that’s not really true as you’re probably well aware since you have been communicating with the spirit of Umbra user of the eclipse blade”

  Luna’s cocky smile while she explains made Skyler widen her eyes and grab onto Luna’s arm tightly making it go red.

  “How do you know”

  “Well because the sword is in my lake underneath that tomb.”

  Luna pulled the arm that Skyler was holding and made her look towards the left where Skyler saw a misty black cloud covering up something in the forest. She wondered how she didn’t realise the big cloud.

  “Because you're not acutely aware of these surroundings since it’s a new territory right?”

  Luna asked, Skyler let go of Luna’s arm and then rammed her against a wall. Angry that Luna knows stuff that Skyler hasn’t told her.

  “How?”

  “Because when we first met you were fighting that fragment I noticed that you were looking around for shadows. So I wondered if you were new to the aqua sector.”

  Luna popped Skyler’s nose before disappearing then Skyler turned around and saw Luna coming back into the room from the balcony.

  “Seriously”

  “Yup”

  “Are you the real one Luna?”

  Skyler asked cautiously and Luna nodded and curtsied at her.

  “Yes I am, nice to you meet you I’m Luna deepwood”

  Skyler rolled her eyes annoyed about the way Luna was acting.

  Skyler murmured and Luna giggled a bit before coughing and grabbed a few books before ramming them into a satchel.

  “What are you waiting for? an invitation amberlight!”

  Skyler widened her eyes again as Luna grabbed hold of Skyler’s hand before running towards the window.

  Skyler looked at the glass shattering as they jumped out of it and Skyler reactively used a shadow to create a shadow pillow big enough for the both of them.

  “That was stupid!”

  Skyler said bluntly and Luna stormed off in a huff towards the black cloud.

  Skyler murmured while facepalming her head and chasing after her. Skyler felt guilty but at the same time annoyed by Luna’s running off. Purple lightning kept striking around them and gusts of wind blew on them harshly which made walking a lot harder than usual. Skyler cupped her mouth

  “Luna, Wait!”

  She shouted at Luna, who was a few yards away from Skyler. Luna looked back at Skyler and slowed her pace and Skyler quickly caught up with her. Skyler grumbled at Luna and she noticed the expression of annoyance on Skyler.

  “Oops sorry, I was expecting you to be excited to see the tomb of the blade.”

  “Why did you think that? I thought when i touched the blade the spirit would merge with me”

  “Thats what the spirit wants it’s about control of your mind and soul so if you have a stronger will then the spirit will not consume you”

  “How do you know so much?”

  Skyler asked while walking side by side with Luna curious about her backstory and how she knows a lot.

  “Well, easy remember those books, those were the only source of information before I got better at projections with my magic”

  “I see. Wait, did you think it was still medieval times?”

  Skyler asked and made Luna pause with their walk by forcing her to stay still and look into her eyes worried. And Luna looked away for a briefest of seconds and nodded.

  “Yes I did, since I was forbidden to roam anywhere.”

  “Right you said that”

  Skyer bit her lip and felt bad for asking, Luna saw and patted Skyler's shoulder to say it was alright. Then they started to walk again deeper and deeper into the forest. Lighting struck around them harshly. It was like it was trying to show them the way.

  “Skyler.”

  “Yeah”

  Skyler looked at Luna confused

  “Can I have a bit of your blood?”

  “Oh for the compass right”

  Skyler said and Luna nodded then grabbed a two prong stick and waited for Skyler to prick her finger. Skyler grabbed a little sharp stick and pressed it against her finger harshly making her grunt in pain which made her eyes glow a deep purple for a second.

  Then Skyler stuck out her hand and squeezed the wound and made droplets of blood hit the stick that Luna was holding. Skyler widened her eyes as the prongs dragged Luna forwards. Skyler quickly followed not wanting to be left.

  “Did you know this will happen”

  Skyler asked and Luna shook head and chuckled, which made Skyler chuckle as well. As Luna was being dragged along the clouds seemed to disperse and then they saw a beautiful lake which glistened from the sun’s rays. Which made Luna’s and Skyler's breath away.

  “Wow…”

  “I know”

  “You weren’t kidding Luna”

  Luna huffed in acknowledgement which made Skyler laugh again then Luna smacked Skyler's head in retaliation.

  “Hey!”

  Skyler shouted and pouted which made Luna shake her head.

  “Jeez how are you a protector?”

  “I'm not”

  “oh my bad”

  “Nah don’t sweat it. It was my fault for disobeying orders”

  Luna hummed and took a step closer to the lake and saw a cave with an old looking door plastered across it.

  “I'm guessing that is the place”

  Luna said while pointing to the cave and Skyler nodded to say I agree.

  “Can you swim Luna?”

  Luna blushed at Skyler's question, which made Skyler sigh. She knew that Luna was saying that she couldn’t. Skyler hummed and took off her jacket and wrapped it around Luna tightly before grabbing her waist.

  “Allons-y!”

  Skyler screamed and started to run from towards the cliff’s edge with Luna in tow

  “Skyler!!”

  Luna shouted out loudly before splashing into the cold depths of the lake and got pulled to the surface by skyler. Luna was pissed that Skyler dragged her into the lake without warning.

  “Seriously”

  “Yup”

  Skyler said before dragging Luna to the other side of the Lake. Skyler got Luna out first and then herself. Her red hair was drenched and her tattoo was on display which made Skyler uncomfortable. She quickly hid behind a rock before Luna saw what was on her stomach.

  “Skyler, are you okay?”

  “Yes. I'm fine”

  Skyler responded weakly. Which got the attention of Luna and she walked closer to the rock and leaned against it.

  “Whats, wrong?”

  “Nothing”

  “That's, something because nothing doesn’t exists!”

  “It's just..”

  Skyler peeked out from the rock and looked down

  “I have something, on my stomach."

  Skyler put her hand, over a part of her covered stomach; and clutched it softly.

  'that, I hate.”

  Luna softly put her hand on Skyler's cheek

  “Show me”

  Luna said but Skyler moved her head away signalling to Luna she doesn’t want to show her.

  “Alright , when your ready and here your jacket”

  Luna tossed the jacket back to skyler and she put it back on which made skyler shiver from the dampness.
