Author’s Note — End of Act One
Thank you so much for reading Act One of The Cliffside Riders.
Reaching the end of this act means more to me than I can really put into words. Writing something at this scale—characters, world, arcs, and themes—has been completely new territory for me, and sharing it as I learn has been both exciting and a little terrifying.
If you’re willing, I’d truly love to hear from you:
?What moments worked for you?
?What didn’t?
?Were there scenes or characters you connected with—or felt distant from?
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
Your feedback genuinely helps shape what comes next.
If you’d like to experience this story in other ways:
??? The audio version of The Cliffside Riders is available on Spotify
??? Original songs inspired by the world and characters can be found on SoundCloud
Both are different ways of exploring the same story, just through sound instead of page.
A quick bit of news as well: I’m currently working with in a small group and beginning the process of building a dedicated website where the story, audio, music, lore, and future projects can all live in one place. The hope is to have that up and running within the next month!!!
Lastly, a small recommendation. While learning how to structure this story, I’ve been listening to Jed Herne’s podcast (The Fantasy Writing Show), which has been incredibly helpful—especially his insights on story structure, character arcs, and theme. If you’re a writer or just curious about how stories are built, I highly recommend checking him out.
Thank you again for being here, for reading, and for walking the cliffs with me.
