Chapter 037: The "Shock" Technique
Time flew by, and winter had arrived. The world was blanketed in white snow, with icy winds howling and freezing everything in their path. Even the sun hanging high in the sky seemed lifeless.
Snowflakes fell endlessly, painting the world in pure white, untainted by any other color. The vast expanse stretched as far as the eye could see, like a beautiful yet endless painting, inspiring boundless imagination.
A cold wind blew against Yang Tian's face, but he felt no chill. Instead, wisps of steam rose from his head as he kept his pores closed, his blood and energy boiling within him. His internal organs vibrated with vitality, and his body was brimming with energy.
"Thud... thud..." Carrying the broken sword on his back, Yang Tian walked through the snow without feeling the slightest bit of cold. In fact, he noticed that his cultivation speed had increased under the influence of the freezing temperature.
"Hisss..." With every step, every muscle in Yang Tian's body moved and contracted, causing the surrounding air to hum and crackle. This was a testament to the immense strength and explosive power of his physique.
After two and a half months of rigorous training, Yang Tian had focused heavily on strengthening his body. Although he was still at the eighth level of Blood Refinement, the quality of his energy had doubled in density. Now, Yang Tian was laying a solid foundation in preparation for the next stage: the "War Heaven Bronze Body."
To break through to the Warrior Realm, one had to temper the "War Heaven Bronze Body." What was the War Heaven Bronze Body? It involved harnessing the power of heavenly thunder to temper the body into a bronze-like state, achieving the War Heaven Bronze Body.
When Yang Tian first comprehended this technique, he was shocked. The power of heavenly thunder was no joke. Many powerful cultivators, whose strength defied the heavens, would attract thunder tribulations. However, few survived such trials.
For Yang Tian to face heavenly thunder at the threshold of the Warrior Realm was almost unbelievable. Yet, he had no choice but to accept it. Although the origins of the War Heaven Art were unclear, Yang Tian firmly believed that this technique was no weaker than any other.
Now, his physique was five times stronger than before. Although he had grown accustomed to the weight of the broken sword, he could feel that it was gradually becoming heavier. This filled him with curiosity about the sword's origins. Perhaps he could find some clues at the Martial Dao Mountain, though he didn't hold out much hope.
Behind him, a small white figure rolled through the snow, leaving a trail that was quickly filled in by the falling snow. If one didn't look closely, it would be easy to miss the movement.
This figure was the little white beast, which Yang Tian had long since noticed. However, there was nothing he could do about it. Every time he roasted game, he had to prepare an extra portion.
Having the little beast around had made his cultivation less monotonous and added a touch of joy to his journey. Yang Tian was quite pleased with its company.
"Bang!" Finding a cave, Yang Tian set down the broken sword, creating a small crater in the ground. He lit a fire with a flint and took out the prepared meat.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
As expected, the little beast appeared at the entrance, its breath visible in the cold air. Its tail wagged excitedly as it blinked its big black eyes, staring at the meat in Yang Tian's hands.
"Here you go, Little White." Tearing off a leg of meat, Yang Tian tossed it to the little beast. "Little White" was the name Yang Tian had given it, and the creature seemed to like it.
Seeing the meat flying through the air, Little White's eyes sparkled with joy. It leaped up, catching the meat with its paws.
"Crunch, crunch." Watching Little White devour the meat, Yang Tian shook his head slightly. He had tried many times to catch the little creature, but it was too clever, leaving him with no choice but to accept its presence.
After finishing the meal, Yang Tian immersed himself in cultivation. Above his energy sea, a river of blood and energy floated, its currents dense and powerful. A faint whistling sound could be heard, though it was almost imperceptible.
This was the initial sign of a phenomenon, and Yang Tian was thrilled. He hadn't expected the War Heaven Art to have such an effect. Many young masters from great families had to consume vast amounts of rare treasures to manifest such phenomena. In comparison, Yang Tian had consumed far fewer resources, yet he had achieved similar results. This filled him with confidence in the War Heaven Art.
"Shock!" Suddenly, Yang Tian uttered a soft command. The river of blood and energy appeared above his head, vibrating intensely. A mysterious force spread out, freezing the space around him.
This was the result of Yang Tian's deep contemplation. The energy within him was different from others, allowing him to freeze space with his energy. For most people, such a feat required extremely high cultivation.
At only the eighth level of Blood Refinement, Yang Tian had only grasped a fraction of this power, but the effect was remarkable. In battle, it could temporarily immobilize an opponent. Of course, given his current level, the duration of this immobilization was very short.
Rumble... The river of blood and energy continued to vibrate, its energy gradually depleting. Yang Tian focused on comprehending the "Shock" technique, alternating between absorbing and releasing energy. A day and night passed in this manner.
The next morning.
Yang Tian opened his eyes and glanced ahead. A furry ball lay nearby, faint snores emanating from it. Yang Tian smiled and began roasting more game.
The aroma filled the air, and the furry ball twitched. Little White leaped up, a drop of drool falling from its mouth.
"Haha." Yang Tian shook his head and tossed one of the roasted game pieces to the little beast.
"Little White, I'll be leaving this place in a few days. Do you want to come with me?" After finishing his meal, Yang Tian looked at Little White, who still seemed eager for more. He pointed into the distance and smiled.
"Awoo, awoo." Little White seemed to understand Yang Tian's words, letting out a few low whines and shaking its fluffy head.
Seeing Little White's reluctance, Yang Tian felt a pang of sadness. After spending so much time together, he had grown attached to the little creature. The thought of leaving it behind was hard to bear.
"Little White, if you want to keep eating this, come with me. I'll be leaving soon." Yang Tian pointed at the bones on the ground, his voice filled with hope.
"Awoo, awoo." Little White paced in circles, its eyes flickering uncertainly. However, when it glanced at the bones, a glimmer of hope appeared in its eyes.
"Whimper." Little White suddenly ran over, tugging at Yang Tian's robe with its teeth. Its big eyes shone with anticipation as it pulled him forward.
"You want me to follow you?" Yang Tian's eyes widened in surprise.
"Awoo." Little White let out a low growl, wagging its tail.
Seeing Little White's wagging tail, Yang Tian's face lit up with a smile. He quickly picked up the broken sword and leaped forward, the two figures racing into the distance.
After running for an entire day, as night fell, the two figures stopped at the foot of a large mountain. Before them was a dark, gaping cave entrance.
"Awoo." Little White tugged at Yang Tian's leg, urging him to enter.
"What is this place?" Yang Tian scratched his head, his gaze fixed on the cave entrance. He could sense a faint, yet unsettling energy emanating from within.
As they approached the entrance, the feeling of unease grew stronger. Seeing Little White tugging at his clothes, Yang Tian gritted his teeth and followed the little beast into the cave.
As soon as they entered, the scene before them shifted as if the stars had realigned. The interior of the mountain had been hollowed out, revealing a massive stone hall. Four towering stone pillars reached toward the heavens, and at the far end of the hall stood a colossal statue.
