Ding!
After so many prompt asking if I want to be reborn finally I have achieved a reborn that no one has discovered in [Uprising] to achieve a demigod bonus. Yes!
hmm... I have played all the combat classes for the past 2 years to achieve this reborn. Maybe I should go for a different route this time. Let’s see... I should play a crafting class. But among all the crafting class the fastest to godhood seems to be cooking. As the saying goes: the fastest way to a man's heart is through his stomach. I guess I will pick skills that I can use for cooking not in the cooking class
So I guess I select
Dual Wield (passive), speed boost (active), mana manipulation (passive), vision (passive) and Tame (active)
Race: human
*slowly opens the eye*
???:"You are finally awake! What happened to you? I found you collapsed on the roadside in the outskirts of this small village of Birchwood. "
Marcus:” Where am I and who are you?"
???:"My house. And I am Rowell the woodcutter."
Marcus:" Thank you for bringing me to your house. I am Marcus. I would like to thank you with a
...
Sorry do you know where my belongings are?
Rowell:” What belongings? When I saw you what u are wearing now is all that you had. Seems like you got robbed and thrown on the roadside."
*Looks like I lost all my equipment and cash as well when I performed the rebirth*
Marcus:” Rowell. Seems like that is the case. But I would still like to thank you. Is there anything I can do to help?"
Rowell:” it is nothing much but if you do not mind, I do have a something you can do for me."
Marcus:" sure I will do it"
Rowell:" but I have yet to tell you what it is"
Marcus:" it should not be too big a task as I am a stranger to you and you are entrusting it to me."
Rowell smiles at the reply and said:" can't deny that logic. Here is what I want you to do. You see the logs outside the house? Chop them into firewood and deliver them to as many households in this village when I return before sun down if possible. Food is in the kitchen. Eat when you're tired."
Ding! Quest Acquired
Marcus:” Sure! Is there enough wood here for all the households? "
Ding!
Rowell:" There are 128 households in the village and I have enough wood to last a month for everyone. Alright start chopping see you at sundown"
As Rowell drives his cart off into the forest, I picked up the hatchet and looked at its stats
I held it up and started focusing mana around it and after some tries.
Ding! Sub-skill acquired! [Mana Manipulation- Infuse]
Ding!
Good. I got the power and now for speed
Drawing from my mana reserves again, I coated my arms and feet visualizing what I needed. After sustaining them for over a minute,
Ding! Sub-skill acquired! [Mana Manipulation- Infuse]
Ding! Sub-skill evolved! [Mana Manipulation- Infuse]
Ding! Sub-skill acquired! [Speed Boost- Arms]
Ding! Sub-skill acquired! [Speed Boost- Legs]
Ding! Sub-skill evolved! [Speed Boost- Limbs]
Ding!
Now time to and start work and gain some levels and stats
I look at the quest timer: Time till sundown: 00:05:23:45
1 hour for about 25 households. I should be able to make it. With 20 min to spare for breaks.
And then I realized with some simple math... 1 log= 4 firewood. 25 households = 250 firewood = 82.5 logs
Shit. I can waste any more time then. If I include travelling time I have about 30 min to chop 3 logs per min...
Time till sundown: 00:04:45:23
Ding you have gain [Axe Mastery]
Ding! Sub-skill has leveled! [Mana Manipulation- Infuse]
Time till sundown: 00:03:10:26
Ding you have leveled up [Axe Mastery]
Time till sundown: 00:02:35:41
Ding you have leveled up [Axe Mastery]
Ding! Sub-skill has leveled! [Mana Manipulation- Infuse]
Time till sundown: 00:00:59:59
Ding! Sub-skill has leveled! [Mana Manipulation- Infuse]
52 households left
Time till sundown: 00:00:19:59
Ding! Sub-skill has leveled up! [Speed Boost- Limbs]
“15 more households left looks like I have some time left since all those that are left are those nearby.”
Time till sundown: 00:00:00:59
Ahhh... I can see Rowell in the distance now
But I guess I am done with all 128 anyway.
A min later, Rowell walks over with his wood cutter axe over his shoulder.
Rowell:" Hey! How did it go? How many households did you manage to visit?"
Marcus:” including or excluding your house?"
Rowell:" if including?"
Marcus:" all 128"
*thud* argh!
Rowell limps over as the flat of his axe landed on his feet, grabbed my shoulders and stared into my eyes:" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?"
Marcus:" Nope. Calm down and have a seat. I will tell you everything and how I did it."
Rowell:"..."
