The Strange Planet

The small dragon opened his eyes slowly.

  He lifted his gaze upward.

  The sky was different.

It had no single colour, only many colours blended, colliding softly.

  They were beautiful,

  but not comforting.

Those colours reflected in his small eyes,

and something strange stirred inside him.

A feeling he could not explain.

  He tried to remember,

  But his mind was empty.

He did not know who he was.

He did not know where he was.

He did not know what this place was.

  Everything around him felt strange,

  strange in a frightening way.

  He tried to stand,

But his small body did not obey.

He placed one hand on the ground, pushing himself up,

  then stopped.

  Dizziness washed over him,

and a hollow feeling filled his head.

  Everything he saw,

  everything he heard,

  even the air itself…

  felt unfamiliar.

Then, he heard a faint sound.

  Slowly, he turned toward it.

He hid behind a large rock

  and stayed still.

  From behind the rock,

  A small creature appeared.

Her head was large compared to her body.

  She moved carefully,

  her eyes filled with fear,

as if she were lost, just like him.

  They looked at each other.

  In that moment,

He felt something stronger than fear.

  A feeling that this place

  did not welcome strangers.

And that looking at the sky…

  came with a cost.

The dragon took one step forward.

  The creature stiffened at once,

If you discover this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.

pulling the food in her hands close to her chest.

  He spoke hesitantly,

  “I just want to—”

  He did not finish.

  Fear reached her before reason.

  She turned and ran.

The dragon froze for a second, then ran after her.

He raised his voice as he ran

  “Wait! Please!

I want to ask you something!”

  She did not stop.

  She did not listen.

He ran faster and shouted louder,

not to scare her, but so she could hear him.

  “So where am I?!

  What is this place?!”

  And at that, she stopped.

  Slowly, she turned around.

  She finally understood.

This was not someone chasing her food.

  This was someone lost,

  asking about the same place

  She had arrived at.

A place she did not understand either.

  The dragon was breathing hard,

His chest was rising and falling.

He stopped and lowered his voice, exhausted.

  “I just want to know…

  What is this strange place?

  I don’t remember anything.

  I don’t know how I got here.”

She looked at him in surprise.

She had not expected those words.

After a moment, she said quietly,

  “I don’t know either…

  I don’t remember how I came here.”

A heavy silence fell between them.

  They exchanged looks,

  confusion clear on both faces.

Both were trapped in the same place.

  Both without memory.

  She spoke again,

“I woke up on top of a tree.

There were many trees around me,

  fruits and plants everywhere.

  Everything looked full of life.”

  She paused.

  “I saw the sky.

It was filled with colours I had never seen before.

I have never seen anything like it.

  Everything here feels new.”

She fell silent for a moment.

  “I kept asking myself…

Am I lost in this planet ?”

  The dragon listened quietly.

So she is like me, he thought.

  Lost in this strange world.

  He spoke softly,

“I’m like you. I don’t know anything about this place.”

He hesitated, then lowered his voice.

  “That means we are lost…

  or maybe…”

  His voice grew sad.

  “Maybe someone from our family

  left us in this world.”

  Silence returned.

They sat down and lowered their voices.

She gave him some of the food she was carrying,

  fruit she had found nearby.

  Silence again.

  Everything around them was unknown.

  Even their presence there

  had no explanation.

  Then, something strange happened.

  The sky changed.

  Its colours shifted.

  The air shook violently,

as if the world itself was trembling.

The ground began to shake, stronger and stronger.

  A powerful wind rushed forward.

They grabbed onto a nearby tree,

holding on as tightly as they could.

  But the wind grew harsher.

It threw them into the air.

  They were pulled together,

  holding onto each other.

  The dragon shouted,

  “What is this force?!

It’s nothing like anything I know!

Don’t let go of my hand!”

The creature struggled, her body being pulled away.

  “I can’t!

  It’s pulling me!”

  Their hands slipped apart.

They fell at the same time, but into different places.

The dragon crashed onto a large tree, his small body caught among its heavy branches .

The creature fell into the water.

  A heavy weight pressed down.

  Then, everything stopped.

  The air felt strange.

  The sky felt heavier.

  The shaking slowly faded.

At last, the ground became still.

Then, both of them lost consciousness.
