  I don’t just activate the skill, though. No. First I teleport straight up towards one of the creature’s mouths. Entering inside of said mouth without hesitation. Then I activate the skill.

  Simply because of my Legendary Feat that grants my attacks true damage status when dealt within the enemy’s body.

  And the moment I activate the skill, a powerful burst of energy explodes from me in a seventy-degree radius forwards. Shooting deeper into the monster’s body and vaporizing vast amounts of it in the process.

  Of course, the monster itself roars a screechy whine mixed with a regular roar in pain and anger, quickly waking up from the attack. But I pay it no mind as I continue releasing all of the built up energy from the skill.

  Blasting further and further into its body.

  Something seems off though. Because the attack just feels too weak.

  At least, for an Ascendant level true damage attack.

  This almost feels like it’s not dealing true damage at all. But I don’t really have a way to confirm that.

  Most likely, it’s just my imagination.

  So I continue releasing the attack, dealing immense damage to the monster. Then, when the attack finally finishes running its course, and the monster recovers enough to counterattack, I teleport far away.

  And can’t help but frown at the result I find from my attack.

  The monster has an enormous hole opened up now around its mouth, going deeper and deeper into its body. But since the monster’s body is so enormously massive in the first place, it feels more like just a large wound. Not a crippling injury.

  Practically equivalent to a wolf taking a bite out of someone and ripping off a chunk of flesh in the process. Or something like that.

  Painful, clearly. Disabling, yes. In the area of the wound.

  But crippling?

  No.

  Still. I got rid of a major threat through this.

  That being the vast rings of razor sharp teeth that made up its mouth. All of which are gone. Having been vaporized by the attack.

  And the monster isn’t regenerating at all. Which is kind of surprising.

  I was honestly expecting an Ascendant Tier monster to be able to regenerate. But I guess not everything can regenerate.

  My thoughts come to a sudden halt when attacks of all kind begin flying straight at me. Each of which have the power to blast holes through my body.

  So I teleport over and over again, dodging every last attack with ease thanks to my Ascendant Tier Quantum Displacement skill.

  Although, if it weren’t for my numerous stat buffs from Legendary Feats, I wouldn’t stand a chance right now.

  Even my Quantum Displacement skill is only faster than the boss’ attacks thanks to the fifty percent boost to my skills’ effectiveness.

  I quickly teleport all over the place, confusing the boss in the process as tentacles, spears of water, spheres of water, spheres of void energy, and all sorts of other attacks fly at me. Then, mere moments before a powerful explosion goes off, I teleport right up to the boss’ mouth again and enter said mouth.

  My eyes narrow as I begin sending as many attacks flying throughout the inside of its body as I can. Only to grimace when my attacks only barely damage it.

  Okay, I’m genuinely beginning to wonder if this is actually true damage or not. Because true damage should ignore all defenses.

  Am I just that weak?

  Or… is this not the boss’ true body?

  I continue attacking for a while before realizing how futile that is. Since I’m barely digging feet through the monster’s body every minute.

  All while having to dodge the monster’s own attacks.

  At this rate, I’ll run out of energy long before I kill the boss.

  And if I get hit by even a single one of the boss’ attacks, things will get very dangerous, very quickly.

  After digging in one specific location for several hours, I find something unexpected. Something akin to a tunnel inside of the monster’s body.

  And it’s not just a blood vessel or anything like that. It’s literally a dry tunnel.

  With a monster inside of it.

  Okay… this is starting to remind me of that Horror boss I fought before from inside of its body.

  Does that mean the actual boss is inside of the massive one? That the massive one is just some sort of shell?

  I don’t give myself much time to think as I dive right into the tunnel to ignore a powerful burst attack striking everything outside of the boss. Ironically using the boss itself as cover by hiding inside of it.

  Which works.

  Very well, I might add.

  The only issue I have is that the monster inside of its little tunnel – which is in the form of a fish swimming in the air – is also Ascendant Tier. Just like the boss.

  That said, it looks like it’s a summon of sorts. Not a real creature.

  So it’s a lot weaker than a normal creature of its level would be.

  Pretty much making it probably just a bit stronger than a Tier 5, but not quite an Ascendant Tier in power.

  Regardless of that, though, the thing rushes at me faster than I can react to in my surprise. Taking a chunk out of my shoulder in the process before turning back around.

  This time I manage to react now that I’m no longer surprised, teleporting out of the way before slicing right into the thing with my polearm. Only to find my polearm not actually killing it.

  My attack hurts it, pretty badly in fact, but it doesn’t kill the thing.

  I grit my teeth hard as the monster twists around and bites into my wrist. Taking a chunk out of that as well while my other wound is already on the mend.

  But before it can do anything worse, I finish the thing off with my other hand. Grabbing it and pouring quantum energy to disintegrate it with quantum flames.

  And, as expected, despite it being technically an Ascendant Tier, the System doesn’t count it for my requirements. Since it’s just a summon.

  I scowl at that before beginning to make my way through the tunnel.
