City of Dreadwalk II

  (Samuel's POV)

I don't like how any of these fools looked at me.

It's like they were envious of the fact that I had gold coins. Was it not a common currency in the capital? I guess not.

They were gring at me every couple of seconds, making my meal taste bitter. One of them would whisper something to his friend, stealing gnces at me.

If I am right to assume, they could try to rob me. Well, let us hope it doesn't get to that. I would hate to drop bodies in the middle of a Demon Capital. However, that is not the first thing that comes to mind when sitting here.

I have not seen anyone who resembles a humanoid demon. I get nothing but the feeling that all of these individuals are humans. Scarlet told me that the City contained all sorts of races; from Humans to Demons. Dreawalk was the name of this city, one that houses the subjects of the Abaddon Kingdom.

Maybe this certain district strictly contained Humans.

Was the City of Dreadwalk divided amongst its races? What an interesting situation, should that be the case.

"Hm...." I said as I was finishing up my stew, "That hit the spot."

I heard as a chair slid back, the figure of a man standing up and making his way was visible on my peripheral.

"Hey, you." He said seriously, spitting on the floor, "You think you're big shit, huh?"

I grabbed a piece of my bread, not looking at him ,"Why do you ask?"

"Over here, funting your coin." He said while sniffing, "What, do you think you're safe from being robbed?"

"Are you threatening to rob me?" I asked seriously, slowly chewing my bread

He smmed his hands on the table, "Who the fuck are you?!" He demanded, "I don't think I have seen you around these parts, so who the fuck are you?"

I took a sip of my mead, "Hm...." I said, setting the cup down, still not looking at him, "Who am I, you ask?"

This is the part where I have impose my presence, telling them that I am not someone to fuck with. The thing is, in the Westerns, the other characters know what a gun is. Am I sure that commoners of this Medieval Age Era city would know what it is?

Simply fshing it won't do the trick.

Perhaps pointing it at his face might.

"Yea." He said, "Who the fuck are you, punk? Here we are, working hard from the mines, and you come and funt your gold to us! I ought to punch your stupid-looking face in!!"

I drew the Hand-Cannon from its holster, pointing right at him without looking at him. Judging by the way he flinched in my peripherals, the barrel of the Six-Shooter beast was right on his face.

"I'd reconsider that if I were you." I said seriously, "You see what you're looking at? Do you know what this is?"

  "W-What.....?" He asked

"You're looking down the barrel of a Six-Shooter Hand-Cannon." I said, "Heavy Caliber Runepowder Rounds in this thing. One bullet is enough to put a hole inside a Serpent Demon, what do you think would happen to a mere punk's head?"

  "Tch....!" He stumbled back

"I'll tell you what." I looked at him, seeing his dumb-looking, fat face, "That pudgy face of yours will have a hole bigger than your fat cheeks, so do yourself a favor and step the fuck back. I put one through you, and I follow up with all of your buddies, should they want some too."

  He raised his hands, "F-Fine...."

I spun the gun and holstered it, facing my food once again, "Don't worry about what I got in my coin purse." I said, adjusting my hat, "Worry about yourself from now on."

As he walked back to his own table, the young waitress girl walked over to me, holding the tray in her hands.

She reached me, "Uhm, mister...." she said, a nervous look on her face, "If you are done, my Grandmother would like to see you."

"Is she the owner of this establishment?" I asked her

She nodded, "Y-yes." She said, "Can I ask you to not cause trouble. I apologize, I don't want to offend you. We just don't want to clean blood up again this week, it's a burden."

"I understand." I said, standing up, "Take me to the owner, then. I do wonder what she wishes to discuss."

She gestured to the side, "Please, follow me." She said as she began to walk, "I'll take you upstairs to her office."

I followed her towards the side of the room, going to a set of stairs. As I followed her up, I could hear the whispers of the others down below. It was probably going to be an annoying day, which is not something I look forwards to.

"Might I ask what this could be about?" I asked as I looked up at the girl, "I just got here, you know."

"Uhm..." She said, "Well, you're not in trouble, that I know. But she is simply curious about one thing, that is all."

We reached the next floor and she lead me to a closed door, to which she knocked.

"Hm." I said as she stood there

"Grandmother!" She called out, "The gentleman is here."

"Send him in." I heard a soft voice come from within

The girl opened the door and stepped to the side, "Go on in."

  I nodded, "Thank you."

I walked in, hearing the door close behind me. I then saw a woman sit behind a desk. She had grey hair with a bck streak, her faded and aged brown eyes were staring right at me.

"Hello." I said as I stood there, "You wanted to speak to me."

"Yes." She stood up, "I am simply wondering how a young man who is a stranger to these parts gets a hold of Royal Gold Coins."

The moment she stood up, I noticed her well-endowed body. I mean, she was clearly an elderly woman, with a few wrinkles on her beautiful face. Her skin was fair, yes, but one would look at her and know that she was a mature woman.

But man, when I say she was well-endowed, I am underselling it.

She was wearing a clearly loose bck dress, but that was not enough to hide her mature curves. Her breasts were very rge, rger than Oneth's, and her thighs were thicker than a bowl of oatmeal. I could also tell that her ass was big and fat as well.

She was also plump, with some fb that comes with age, I am sure.

But all in all, she was very well-endowed, and it was an arousing sigh to behold. I could not even hide my own surprise.

"Whoa...." I muttered before clearing my throat, "Pardon me, what did you say? Royal Gold Coins?"

She showed me the gold coin that I had handed to the girl, "This is not the ordinary gold coin that circutes through the city." She said, her voice was soft yet alluring, "There is a crown of thorns on one face and the face of Queen Asothia facing the right on it, not wearing her crown. The normal coin printed has two swords crossing each other on one face and Queen Asothia's face, facing left, wearing her crown."

"Oh." I blinked, "I did not know that."

"Did you steal this?" She said, gulping slightly, "In the city, only the Dread Lords carry this currency."

"You could get me in trouble."
