In a quiet cssroom—almost painfully dull.
At the front of the room stood a woman. Judging by what she had written on the board, this css was learning mathematics.
Some students were nodding off. Some were idly spinning their pens.Others were chatting with each other.
The teacher didn’t seem to care much. Judging from her sleepy expression, she looked just as bored as the students.
As if this were just another ordinary day.
At the back of the cssroom sat a boy, resting his head against his hand.
His eyes weren’t looking at the board.
They were fixed on something above it…
A clock hanging on the wall.
He sighed.
Chemistry… right after this math bullshit.
What the hell is wrong with this school?
Two math periods in the morning and then chemistry right after?
If they want to torture students, they might as well just say it!
He gnced sideways at another boy.
The boy was half covering his face with his hand, drooling—
Tomy’s already asleep…
He chuckled quietly before shifting his gaze again.
This time toward a girl.
She was pretty.
No—pretty wasn’t quite the right word.
She looked like a model straight out of a magazine.
Should I confess to her…?
Does a guy like me even stand a chance?
He sighed again and leaned back in his chair, hands interlocked behind his head.
But… the uppercssmen are already going after Julian…
If I confessed to her, it’d basically be suicide…
He closed his eyes and smiled bitterly to himself.
What a fucking life…
“David!”
The teacher’s voice jolted him so badly he nearly fell backward.
He shot to his feet.
“Y-Yes—yes, teacher?!”
“Repeat what I just said!” she pointed.
The entire css turned to look at him.
Julian included.
“Uh… um…”
David quickly gnced at his friend, silently begging for help.
“Where are you looking at? Did I ask Tomy? Or did I ask you?!”
“Look at me when I’m talking to you!” the teacher shouted.
Tomy bit his lip and shook his head helplessly.
David froze, scratching the back of his neck.
“Psst…”
David turned.
The girl sitting next to him tugged lightly at his sleeve.
“What’s the measure of the corresponding angle on the other parallel line?” she whispered.
Like a lifeline thrown down, David grabbed onto it immediately.
“Uh! You were asking about the corresponding angle on the parallel line!”
“And do you know the answer?” the teacher asked again.
“Uh… it’s…”
David immediately turned to the girl again.
But before she could whisper—
“Emma! Don’t you dare feed him another answer!”
“Let him answer for himself!”
Emma lowered her head quietly.
Seeing his st bit of hope crushed, David slowly turned back to the teacher.
“I…I don’t know...”
“Of course you don’t,” the teacher scoffed, hands on her hips.
“You never study, and your head is always in the clouds during css!”
“Go stand in the hallway!”
“Tsk… same old shit,” David muttered.
“What was that?!” the teacher snapped.
“I didn’t say anything!” David shot back quickly.
“Out. Now!”
“I’m going!”
David shoved his chair back loudly and walked between the rows of desks.
The entire css was still staring at him.
His face flushed bright red.
“Stupid math bitch…” he muttered under his breath, quieter this time.
He grabbed the door handle.
Click.
SLAM!
“Alright css, ignore him,” the teacher said.
“Let’s continue.”
***
Out in the hallway.
David leaned against the wall and pulled a piece of gum from his pocket, tossing it into his mouth.
That old damn mother fucker…
Why doesn’t she just quit and stay home raising her kids or something?
“Damn it…” David sighed.
He closed his eyes and tilted his head back.
Come to think of it…
Emma’s actually pretty cute.
But the other girls usually isote her…
If I confessed to her, Julian would probably ugh in my face.
The whole css would…
Sniff.
Sniff.
A metallic scent spread through the air.
What the hell is that smell?
David looked around before walking to the hallway railing.
Across the courtyard, in the neighbouring building, a group of students were running frantically along the corridor.
Are they in PE or something?
Why are they—
He squinted.
They weren’t just running.
They were being chased.
By other students, those students had their mouths covered in blood.
They were chasing the other weirdly.
The way they’re moving…
The fuck?
Are they rehearsing for acting css?
Grrrrrr…
David flinched and turned to his left.
A student stood there.
Blood smeared across his mouth.
His skin was pale.
And his eyes—completely insane.
David noticed.
“You’re alright? Dude…?”
GAWR!
The guy suddenly lunged toward him and tried to bite him.
“Oi—!”
David didn’t hesitate.
He turned and ran.
The fuck is wrong with him?!
***
Inside the cssroom, the teacher’s lecture continued.
No one had any idea what was happening outside.
Tomy gnced out the window.
He saw his friend running down the hallway.
Tomy’s eyes widened.
David was being chased—
by someone covered in blood.
***
“STOP FUCKING CHASING ME!”
GRAWWWWR!
David sprinted toward the staircase and looked back.
The guy was right behind him.
“Shit—!”
At the st second, David dodged to the side.
The guy smmed into the railing.
David grabbed both of its legs and shoved it over.
“ASSHOLE!”
…
THUD!
Oh shit, did I killed him?
David leaned over the railing and looked down—
His eyes widened.
The guy… was slowly getting back up.
It lifted its head.
And looked straight at him.
Then it started climbing back up.
“OH SHIT—OH SHIT—!”
David backed away in panic.
Thud.
His foot slipped.
The guy was already climbing back toward him.
David’s legs went limp, like noodles…
He couldn’t help himself stand back up.
So he crawled backward, unable to take his eyes off it.
Gawrrrr…
“EY—CALM DOWN—!”

Let me know if you guys want me to expand it. I'm kind of busy (work stuff), so if it were up to me, I would probably leave the story as it is (I'm not sure if it's worth investing more time in yet, sorry).
SO. If you guys are interested in this story, I would definitely turn it into a series. I wrote it with an open ending, and I already have a solid number of characters + ideas in mind.
Just give me a sign, and I’ll get my hands dirty.
