Chapter L: The Titan Generals (Pt.3)

Cinder was a 3.5-star threat with an EQN of 49,346,800. He possessed a resonant blade like the others and three cintracies. His two elements were Core and Galvanize, giving him control over magma and lightning, while his other cintracy was a temp called Portal. Each of the generals was powerful, but this guy, I somehow knew never to take him lightly.

"Be grateful we allowed you over," he spoke with an unwavering strength of will and a commanding presence. "Normally, this would never happen, but we're aware that you aren't from Cindar and despite having ascension marks, you aren't a pneumarian or part of the Pneumarian Forces."

"Thanks," I said gratefully, still marveling at them. "You all are different from most of the klevonians I've met so far."

"They're zaster klevonians," Fulvia explained. "Zaster klevonians are extremely rare klevonians who're born with two cintracies. The genetic trait that allowed this to happen also causes their bodies to be made entirely of their spirit energy, like a pneumarian's. They aren't as strong or as powerful as a pneumarian and can't shapeshift beyond growing or shrinking their size, but they are just as ageless and immortal as a one."

"But this one, the one who can move dirt, isn't a zaster klevonian, correct?" Avarice dismissively motioned to Luna.

"No," Fulvia stated calmly. She seemed amused by the restraint Luna continued to display toward him. "Nevertheless, her particular skills have made her quite formidable and have secured her position among the Titan Generals. If we were able to get stronger from hard work and determination, she would probably be even stronger than I am. So, be careful not to agitate her. Some say it's unwise to anger one's better."

So my power would be useless against them, too, Tymon shared with me.

Good thing we aren't here to pick a fight, I pointed out to them.

And if they choose to pick one? Tymon returned.

Let's hope it doesn't come to that, I responded optimistically. Hey, if they never age or die, doesn't that mean zaster klevonians will never ascend?

  Let's find out...

"So, even if you received an ascension mark...," Tymon suggested.

"We wouldn't evolve, but we're completely fine with that," Luna said as she put her hands on her hips.

"So, exactly how old are you all?" Avarice inquired curiously.

"I age like a normal klevonian. I'm only 150 thousand in UST years," Fulvia stated. "The others are much older, ranging anywhere from 175 million to over 600 million years."

The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.

"Even you, Luna?" Za'Fia directed at her. "You're not a zaster klevonian."

"No, but an aspect of my power prevents me from aging as well. I don't regenerate as they do, though."

"I am over 601 million years old," Cinder declared, standing proud at that fact. "I am the oldest known klevonian to exist still."

"As well as the honored, first of all zaster klevonians," Ziro placed a friendly hand on his comrade's shoulder.

"That's over 1.2 billion Earth years!" I exclaimed to myself. "I wonder if Wren will live that long?"

"Better question is why doesn't she show similar abilities to zaster klevonians since she controls four elements," Za'Fia casually threw out.

Fulvia and the generals stared in disbelief for a moment.

  "Surely you jest," Ziro remarked.

"Four? That's impossible. You must be mistaken. No one has ever held more than two elements," Cinder stated dubiously. "She must be a stockpiler."

"No, she only has one cintracy," I told them.

"If what you say of this Wren is true, then they have more potential than you may realize," Luna commented in thought.

"They certainly do," Fulvia agreed before moving things along. "But for now, why don't I personally give you all a tour of Forgeton. Show you how we do things here."
