It has come to my attention that you guys probably think I'm pulling magic out of my ass. Alas, this is not the case; I've painstakingly prepared a spell list for our dear protagonist from the beginning. Rejoice, dear readers! I will allow you to gaze upon the majestic sheet I reference when Vandlind uses magic.
However, the translations are simply that -- reference; they're actually direct translations of the spell. When Vandlind casts a more complex spell, the wording will be a more complex version of one of the spells listed below. Of course, this is progression fantasy, so Vandlind will acquire more magic throughout his journey, but I will do my best to explicitly state this. Now, feast your eyes!
P.S. This isn't necessary to read for the story. However, I highly recommend checking it out; it'll make Vandlind's choices later make more sense and assuage the concerns of OP protagonist haters. (Although Vandlind is pretty powerful, I don't think he's OP...yet)
Spell List:
Enhancement: Universal magic -- intuitive and nonverbal.
Weapon Enhancement: Enhance a held weapon by infusing mana into it. Increase durability, sharpness, etc. (Also works with armor and shields; although, larger surfaces are harder to maintain)
Body Enchantment: Increase the strength of the body in proportion to mana expended. (Temporarily increase all physical attributes)
Aura: Manifest a thin barrier over the body, absorbs all types of damage and filters toxins. Strength depends on mana expended. Aura can manifest a feeling of dread in an opponent if the user experiences bloodlust or anger. Invisible unless the mana exerted surpasses maximum threshold. (This means only really strong people have visible auras)
Mana Sense: Expel raw mana in a short radius to survey surroundings. Reveals movement, objects, enemies, etc.
Mana Cycling: Absorb ambient mana without meditation.
Abjuration: The School of Protection
Zbraňová bariéra – Weapon Barrier: Ward that absorbs physical attacks. Permanent until destroyed. Durability depends on mana expended.
Vykúzli? bariéra – Mana Barrier: Ward that absorbs magical attacks. Permanent until destroyed. Durability depends on mana expended.
Vidie? bariéru -- Scry Barrier: Ward that prevents a mage from using divination magic on target.

Teleportova? – Teleport: Move caster and any others within range to a destination caster is familiar with. Mana expended relies solely on passengers and not distance. Teleportation has a chance of transporting the caster somewhere random if the destination is not familiar enough.
Vytvori? polo?ku -- Create Object: Create any object within memory. Creation is permanent. Quality of item depends on mana expended. (Capable of creating organic material, but not sentient beings)
Vytvorte známe – Create Familiar: Create or bestow a pseudo-intelligence to a creature, element, etc. Strength and Durability depend on mana used. Created familiars dissipate after a period of time; bestowed familiars live until destroyed.

Divination: The School of Knowledge
V?etko vidiace oko – Scry: Reveal the visage of target (location or individual). The more familiar the caster is with the target, the more information available to the caster. Duration depends on mana expended.
Ur?i? – Identify: Rather lose in terms of magic. Intent-based: gives location, type of object, or various, desired information to the caster.

?aro -- Charm: Enthrall a target. Strength and duration depend on mana used.

Ticho – Silence: Masks sound around the caster or in a designated area. Duration and size depend on mana used.
Transmutation: The School of Change
Zmeni? tvar – Polymorph: Changes target into a desired object, animal, or shape. Strength and duration depend on mana used. (Cannot turn inanimate objects animate)
Sce?ovanie – Mending: Repair a broken or damaged object. Success depends on familiarity with object and mana exerted. (Cannot mend organic material)
Vylep?ite telo – Enhance Body: Strengthen the body of a target by increasing the density of bones and muscles. Duration and Strength depend on mana used. (Permanent enhancement is available at higher tiers of this spell)
Vylep?i? polo?ku – Enhance Item: Permanently improve the natural characteristics of an item or imbue a spell in a targeted object to change/create new characteristics. Strength depends on mana used
Death: The School of Oblivion
Zabi? -- Kill: Instantly kill a target. (Target must be significantly weaker than mana expended)
Vypustite ?ivot -- Drain Life: Drain the vitality or mana of a target and add it to the caster or a being of caster's choice
Du?a zdrvujúca -- Soul Crush: Crush and absorb the soul of a defeated target to gain mana, vitality, recent memories, etc.
Lapanie du?í -- Soul Trap: Trap the soul of a target in a holding device. Stronger the soul, the more mana required to trap it. Trapped souls are not aware of their nature. (Foreshadowing: you can imbue souls into [Redacted] to create [Redacted]
Life: The School of Serenity
Maly lie?i? – simple heal: Speed up the body's natural healing process. Strength varies on mana used.
Masívne lie?i? – Complex heal: Restore the body to a healed state regardless if the wound is able to naturally heal, Cannot regrow limbs, only reattach.
