E-Naeurl, Re-Estize Kingdom (POV 3rd)Amanomahitotsu sat up in a daze. So many questions were going through his head:
'How am I still alive?'
'Where am I?'
'Why am I in a tunnel?'
He felt odd, as if he were heavier than usual. He looked at his arm, but it was too dark to see anything except the outline. He could tell his arm wasn't human anymore. It looked bulky like it was covered in armor, and his fingertips ended in sharp points. He felt oddly calm, which was weird for a situation like this.
He had died, that was certain. No one could survive being dropped into a 500 degrees Celcius vat of molten metal. Not even corpos with their advanced gear could survive getting close. He stood up, and he felt slow and almost sluggish. Amanomahitotsu thought it was due to his grogginess; if that even was a word, he never finished middle school.
As he looked around, he saw what seemed to be a staircase going upwards. He could tell that he was in a sewer line, but that also begged the question of why it didn't smell like anything; pushing the thought to the back of his mind, he decided to climb the staircase.
(POV Albedo)As I stood in the backlines of the army I was given command of. I couldn't help but smile as the Death Knight tore open the gates to the human city. Although this assault on the port city was never supposed to succeed, but instead draw out any individual of strength that could threaten my Lord's Ten-Thousand Year Pn.
'Lord Ainz is truly a genius.'
The Death Warrior charged forth to take advantage of the newly formed breach. I could tell the human defenders worked together well, but not well enough; the Death Knight was slowly gaining ground.
'If there were anyone of note, they would appear just about . . . Now!' I smiled under my helmet as my prediction came true, and a red mecha suit destroyed the Death Knight with a single shot to the head. It looked like a [Powered Suit] from YGGDRASIL, a [Artifact] Tier item that offered ft boosts to one's stats. Unfortunately, I didn't know what type of suit it was, that would fall under Pandora Actor's area of expertise.
He turned to the Death Warrior and began to fire a stream of projectiles at it. I was pleasantly surprised it managed to use [Deflect Missle] several times in a row, deflecting the mecha's projectiles into the ground before succumbing to the suit's relentless assault.
I heard my beloved's voice: [Message] Albedo, you may return to Nazerick for further tasking.
Understood, Lord Ainz I will return in a few moments!
By the way. . . Good job. [Message]
I felt a flutter in my chest; I may be on the way to redeeming myself in his eyes. I would be together with him if it weren't for Bellriver!
I disliked him . . . Not nearly as much as the other Supreme Beings. He was one of the few who stayed with Momonga, one of the few who didn't abandon us. However, he eventually fell to the same fate as all the others, leaving only Momonga.
[Gate] A swirling bck mass opened to my left. Before stepping in, I noticed something had put the defenders into a frenzy.
It was . . . curious.
The Great Tomb of Nazerick, Sorcerer Kingdom (POV Ainz)
I gnced at Bellriver as we, along with all the floor guardians minus Victim, watched the "Battle of E-Naeurl," as my friend has coined it. He mentioned cataloging all the battles we will do to study which tactics worked best on each nation instead of relying solely on overpowering our foes through pure [levels]. Now that I think about it some more, I realize this was a good idea as we can understand and correct our weaknesses.
After [Messaging] Albedo to return, Bellriver spoke up: "Isn't that a [Powered Suit] from YGGDRASIL? How did someone in this weak nation get their hands on it?"
"We know that YGGDRASIL pyers have been appearing on this world for several hundred years, the earliest case being the Six Great Gods 600 years ago. However, there is the possibility of smaller groups of pyers who have arrived and decided to stay hidden. Perhaps this human found this suit in one of these old hideouts they've used, although I'm sure Lord Ainz has already figured that detail out." Demiurge cut in before I could answer, I was very grateful for him, but he was such an asskisser sometimes.
"That is correct, Demiurge; you have finally discovered a piece of my pn. You truly are the most intelligent out of all of us!" My regal voice cut through the room.
Demiurge rose and bowed: "My Lord, you are too humble."
I cringed at this action and could tell Bellriver was enjoying the show. "You may si—" The words got caught in my throat as I noticed something had stirred the defenders of E-Naeurl and the [Powered Suit] user into a frenzy.
The suit user was flying around a section of the city, firing his machine gun at something. Bellriver recovered first, "Demiurge, do we have any assets within the city?"
"No, my lord, I don't believe so." The archdemon was equally as confused as the two pyers.
I mentally commanded [The Mirror of Remote Viewing] to investigate the commotion. Bellriver set his hand on my shoulder, leaning over to get a closer view.
""Is that Amanomahitotsu?!"" both of us said simultaneously.
E-Naeurl, Re-Estize KingdomShortly before Re-Estize Victory(POV 3rd)Amanomahitotsu felt out of breath as he finished climbing the staircase he had seen earlier. He knew that the worst pce one could be in a supercity was the sewers, as septic waste would flood them every 30 minutes or so. This waste was incredibly disgusting and deadly to the average human as it acted more like acid than human waste.
In the 22nd century, corporations had to make most of the food using artificial components. Granted, organic food was still a thing, but it was reserved for the wealthiest denizens. Consequently, these artificial components could destroy one's digestive system if not adequately prepared. If they were prepared correctly, then one could enjoy a semi-delicious meal of chemicals that, once processed by the human body, would result in "acid shit," as some called it. As the name suggests, the waste would behave more like low-grade acid, which is not horrible when you go "number two," but submerged in it. It would strip your flesh slowly as the chemicals did their work.
Those sewers looked outdated, now that he thought about it. Why were they made of stone instead of metal?
'No matter,' Amanomahitotsu thought; this was the least of his worries.
He should focus on what he is. Obviously, he was no longer human; his four arms were covered in thick . . . bone? He was noticeably taller than an average human, just slightly under 2 meters tall. He couldn't close his eyes, yet they never felt dry—and finally, half of his arms were just giant cws.
Amanomahitotsu thought he looked like a humanoid crab, which was exactly what his character was in YGGDRASIL.
"Crazy coincidence," he thought, carefully maneuvering through the human-sized door the stairwell led to. Unfortunately, his frame was too rge, and he had blown a hole straight through the wall instead.
Amanomahitotsu cringed as he looked at the damage. 'That's not gonna buff out'. He decided to leave so as not to get ticketed for this.
Fortunately, he had realized that he wasn't in a megacity of the 22nd century, so there was no need to be worried about being ticketed.
Unfortunately, he turned to come chest to face with a young couple who were, let's say, "reproducing" in front of the doorway. Why there? Amanomahitotsu decided not to ask, but a stone struck the female from when he had busted through the wall, leaving a streak of blood to stream down her head. She was definitely out cold. He had thought about apologizing, the issue here was that he was unsire as to how he should apologize.
"Sorry?" he tried, but the man was focused on his lover.
"Melissa! Melissa! NOOOOO!" The man screamed. It was so over-dramatic that Amanomahitotsu had to resist the urge to ugh. He slowly backed towards the entrance of what looked to be an alleyway and ran as several armored individuals appeared from there.
Where the fuck was he?!
