Intermission: Revisiting the other tutorials

Sophie looked down from her throne, it was a crude thing made from bones and animal hides but it was hers. In front of her, kneeling like the dirt they are, were the other tutorial attendees. She took control of them a week ago once the goblins served their purpose. Those dark green fucks, she thought while looking down at her newest toys. While they tried to survive she gathered her own strength.

The swamp was no problem for her, the undead were easy to control, a dead mind didn’t resist her and so she played her own little wars, throwing hordes of undead against each other.

But now she entered the third circle and these so-called Brammgestir were stubborn. For the first time someone actually resisted her and she hated it, her control was absolut and she just needed to push further, these dumb animals wouldn’t resist her much longer. Especially with her subclass at work.

  [Tormenter]

[Others hesitate but you crave it, inflicting pain is your nourishment, they call you a sadist but you just dominate them and make them suffer. A Tormenter’s mind is broken and damaged but do you really care? While inflicting pain and suffering your stats grow on par with the pain you cause]

She grinned, her smile a bit too wide and her eyes filled with malice. Her heart skipped a beat after reading the description, especially when a thorny whip appeared in front of her, a class specific weapon.

Sophie just nodded to herself and mumbled something that sounded like total gibberish before she cracked the whip on the backs of her slaves. It was time to conquer the next circle.

Emily cried, she cried a lot in the last few days. While the start of her tutorial was a cakewalk she had to face reality at some point. Because the moment the boys that followed her around like puppies noticed what kind of bitch she was for using them as meatshields they just pushed her into some hole and left.

Once she crawled back out she found her bow and arrows in pieces. Alone and defenseless she tried to survive, evading goblins and even the other humans inside the tutorial. Her only weapon was a sharpened stick that wouldn’t even hurt a child at this point with everyone having access to the system.

At some the system thought it was even funny when she found a notification after a rough night, she gained a subclass all of a sudden.

  [Betrayer]

[You abused the world around you. Betrayed them when their lives were at stake only to benefit yourself. While you aren’t a traitor, yet, you’re untrustworthy and everybody will feel it like an aura around you. All stats are decreased by 5. Make up for your mistakes or die trying]

The sudden weakness she felt made her heart stop for a moment, she was branded and nothing could save her now.

Daggers plunged deep into the Crocodiarii’s neck, he twisted them and blood sprayed into the air, he hit an artery for sure. For him this was finally a real challenge. Since the tutorial began he walked through everything with ease. The monster is not really equipped with a counter for stealth.

But since he arrived in the third circle everything changed, those humanoid animals had a keen sense of smell and he needed to explore new ways to mask his presence. Since his class changed at Level 25 to assassin, he was comfortable with his abilities, now actually had to work.

A subclass called the [Perfumer] helped him in the end, it allowed him to mask his scent, induce hallucinations and create illusions. For the actual perfume he needed common ingredients, the weaker the effect the easier he could get them. Some journeys back to the forest were needed but he was certain his stock would last to the end of the tutorial.

Slipping back into the shadows only to shadow jump away to a rock outside the camp. He just finished the last commander, now he only needed the monarch and there would be nobody to stop the Crocodiarii from collapsing. Soon he could join the fourth circle
