Cars go along the highway to “leave” the city of Taireah. After walking that same highway, I only find myself in Taireah as if I’d just come across it. I even followed a car once, but I could never keep up with it. When I tried to get my own car, the currency from my world didn’t work here. The salespeople don’t even recognize the faces on my dollar bills. Because I didn’t have an identity here, I also couldn’t get a job.
My magic didn’t work here. Unlike in the world I created, I could not will things into being. The person who ruled this universe enforced its rules powerfully, so I could not bend anything either. If whoever ruled this world decided magic didn’t exist, then I couldn’t do a thing about it.

Because all entities in the city are so strictly forced to stay inside, I had to believe the main stage in the world was Taireah. Possibly, there could be more stories which go on outside of the city, but I couldn’t tell from within its confines. If I wanted to leave, I would have to enforce my presence in this world.
I needed to take over the city, in one way or another. Whether through attaining a position of power, annihilation of the populace, or becoming a generally influential figure, I needed to make my will mean something. If I wanted the remnants of my world to exist, I needed to overthrow whatever lizard ruled this place.
I didn’t want to lose everything yet.
